This location is located next to a hotel and across the street from the Six Flags in the Lake George area , where many people stop in after a fun day at the amusement park . We have eaten at this location in the past and thought the food was very good but I'm sad to say that is no longer the case . Hence the 3 star review and that was because the hostess and servers were wonderful. The restaurant was filled with customers seemingly enjoying their meals .On arrival we asked to sit outside. The hostess was friendly and polite and we were quickly seated . Our server too was very polite and attentive she took our orders quickly and brought over our drinks within a few minutes. I ordered a Margarita which was prepared well and was very good , probably the best part of my meal ! We did have to wait about 30 mins for our meal to be served which I felt was an average wait time . We just ordered burgers and sweet potato fries , how can you go wrong ? . When it arrived at the table we were surprised to see how small the serving of potatoes were and the burger was closer to the size of a slider .The burgers were adequate and standard nothing special but the fries they were just plain AWFUL, rubbery , chewy and tasteless! We were so disappointed! So not worth the $$$$

A 15 minute wait to get in with this many customers. We've been waiting for 30 minutes for the appetizer. My banana shake was brought to me as "peanut butter" and turned out to be banana anyway. My kid just now, "Did they forget about us?" Holy crap! Bring me the bill for the shake and keep the food. I'm going somewhere else!

Place was a ghost town at 7pm on a Thursday..except for a few to go order customers we had place to ourselves

I wouldn't think of going someplace with such lousy reviews but I was kinda dragged here against my will and we were starving and had a long drive ahead. This JR sucks. The place was literally empty at 7p on a Thursday. No customers...i guess the locals know better. I'll say the customer service was fine for us..our orders came out a little slow but the wait staff was nice enough. Maybe because they were bored? But this place fails when it comes to food. I've had a better burger at Wendy's but didn't have to pay almost $9 for it. The burger was pancake thin and leather tough..yet still grey and greasy. The lettuce was crisp and fresh but the onion rings anemic looking and the fries served cold. Roll was somewhat stale but edible. I could forgive the lousy burgers if they didn't present themselves as a burger joint. Just pass this place by if you can

I ordered a specialty drink off the menu and asked for it to be made sweeter if possible, but it tasted as though it had been watered down. The server didn't ask if I liked it, which I thought was bizarre, because a simple sugar packet would have made the biggest improvement. The drink came with mini blueberries that got stuck in the straw with every sip--super annoying. I got a chicken sandwich and asked to switch out the cheese. They did, but added onion (which I hate) and left off the spicy mayo. My husband's sandwich had added tomatoes for no reason--just weird. We also asked specifically whether their grilled chicken sandwiches came with a thin piece of grilled chicken, since that was important to both of us. We were told yes, but it wasn't true--I had to manhandle mine and split it in half just to eat it. Most of the fries were decent and tasted good, until I came across two raw-ish ones stuck together that were soggy. By that point, I was just over my meal.

Quite unique.! The food was par. Fish and fried shrimp were overcooked to coffee brown. The wings are delicious. The shrimp cocktail was good. The French onion soup was superb. The burgers were big and awesome. The problem was the service. One waitress for 80 people is not enough! We were seated and then she finally got to our table for a drinks order. Beers and waters. All good. Food order goes in. We don't see our waitress again. Takes 30 minutes for the food to come meandering out of the kitchen and delivered by kitchen staff. Still no waitress for more beers. Food was as described earlier. Still no beers. I go to the bar to get more. I am told it will be a few minutes. Still no more beers. Some of our gang go home because they Never Got Service! We were there for 90 minutes and got 2 beers. Then came the tab. $160 for six people not including the tip. Paid in cash! Nice place. Local favorite. I would skip it if not for my friends being local and taking us there. They say that management tries to run the place with one waitress usually. Too Bad! Poor or no service is costing you lots of money.

Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.
