Neat place, clean, order and everything is to go but can eat in as well. Was in a rush so just got a 1/2 chicken, , potato casserole and beans and several sauces to try. I like spicy so I got a few and the service was fantastic, food came out quick, and I dove in sitting in my car. I didn't get the chicken wet so I doused it with spicy barbecue after putting on my gloves lol , ( it works great and I wear them all day anyway, ) and this was really good! The potatoes hit the spot and beans were good- but should have got greens , but all was good and hit the spot. Will be going back with my phone and try some Other dishes like The brisket or 3 meat or even a veggie plate!! Really happy and highly recommend!!

Got brunswick stew a pulled pork sandwhich coleslaw topped and their potato salad. Definitely the best brunswick stew in the area. Just barely beats the black pig and the rest of em. Barbecue however was on the sweeter side. I like vinegar based sauces, but this sauce to me was a little too sweet for my likings. However, it wasn't bad for a tomato based sauce. Some sweet tea to wash it all down

Got the Big Mahana, which comes with 2 bases, 2 proteins and 2 veggies. I selected noodles (chilled) and kale for the base. Tofu as the protein and 3 veggies - green beans, brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes. Cilantro Vinaigrette and Citrus Ginger for the sauces. Chilled noodles hit a little different if you're not used to them. I would prefer them warmed but also didn't mind. But if you want a warm base, thy have grains you can choose from. The sauces are needed to tie the bowl together. Overall, I really loved the food. Some of my friends would say the bowl I made tasted "healthy" lol. And they wouldn't be wrong, but that's the point! Amazing customer service! I loved that he explained how it worked. And it's the small things for me - a simple suggestion to get the fountain drink version of the can since I was dining it. Goes a long way! And I'm glad he suggested it because I had multiple refills. My food was so good that I bought another bowl to take home for dinner. Thank you!!

I had the key west chicken which was drier than the Sahara dessert. It was so dry and chewy I could barely get it chewed up enough to swallow even smothered in sauce. The sauce/dressing on top was way too much, I had a pool in the bottom of my bowl when I was done. My partner ordered the steak on her bowl and she said her steak was extremely dry as well however she liked the sweet potatoes. We ordered macaroni and cheese for the kids and it was very cold. Didn't even melt the cheese they sprinkled on top. The cheese sauce was grainy and lacked any flavor. We asked for the macaroni to be microwaved and they didn't have a microwave. He did offer to put in the oven which helped some. Still didn't taste good. Sitting in their dining room, they use the hallway to the restroom for storage. You felt like you were sitting in the kitchen. Overall we just didn't enjoy our meal here, we won't be returning. We normally love bowl places like this and I was excited for an option with different offerings but this was a huge miss for us.

Amazing Customer Experience to match their Amazing Food!…read more If you are in need of a food truck for your event, look no further! We were having a huge outdoor party for my husband's 50th birthday and we had invited over 100 people and we really wanted a food truck where not only the adults would love the food but also not too eccentric where it could please the kids too. I spent a lot of time throughout a week scouring the internet for a food truck that I felt could fit our needs. I found the menus for private parties too restricting and it was starting to feel I wouldn't be able to find the kind of menu I wanted. A friend of mine whose neighborhood has a lot of block parties and hires food trucks often suggested Soul Truckin Good. She said that out of all the trucks, that was the most raved about and pleased the masses. I had called a few already and felt discouraged with the limited menu for private parties. I might have liked this and that but maybe they couldn't do this and that together. I felt a little like Goldilocks and the Three Bears trying to find a menu I felt excited about. With the party being combined with our annual St. Patty's Day party I knew the drinks would be flowing and I wanted to make sure the food was yummy, hearty and filling for a one time guest visit to the truck. So I called Soul Truckin Good, and Jei answered the phone. She has the perfect amount of professionalism, kindness AND understanding when talking things over. The way she described the menu was very easy to understand and I felt like we had great main dish and side dish choices to work with. There was one additional side I wanted even though it ventured outside of the A, B, C type of menu. She wanted to make sure we were happy and she was happy to work with me to make sure we had the menu we wanted. By the end of the process, I felt like I was talking to my friend rather than a stranger. The party was growing by the day. And she talked me through everything regarding the number of people and how much to order, like a pro. Sometimes I felt like she was my therapist, lol, because of the concern I had with making sure everyone would get fed. When you have an Evite for a big party and even if you set a deadline for RSVPs, you will always have those friends that say, oh I forgot...is it too late? Or I know I initially said it was just 2 of us but now it will be all 5, yada yada yada. So we came up with a plan that I felt comfortable with. And not to forget about the food or the guest happiness- the day of the party gets here and the food truck was a huge success. Everyone loved the food. Everything went smoothly, truck was here on-time (even early). They make sure to plan with time cushions to get to their commitments with plenty of time. And there was a line at the end as our time was coming to a close and they stayed until the last person received their order. Can't assume that will always be the case but I was their last commitment that day. Just goes to show they care about the experience and not just the dollar. I don't think there are a lot of business owners out there that care as much about making your experience the best it can be. But I can say without a doubt that Soul Truckin Good is one of them!

She was on top of making sure our food came out in a (somewhat) timely manner. Unfortunately the pizza felt stale, not cooked properly and took a while to come out. Starting with the smoked chicken pizza, it was basically a stale cheese slice with toppings thrown on top. The chicken was inedible and had to be picked off, the onions were raw, the cheese was hard. The build your own was the same story, it appeared they didn't even throw it in the oven after placing the toppings. So the toppings were cold and the cheese was overcooked. The saving grace was the mozzarella sticks, I'd give this place a 3 star on these alone. They're weighty, stretchy, and taste great. The marinara is chunky and fresh served alongside. The pizza slices shouldn't cost $6 each for what you get, maybe $3 considering it's reused cheese pizza. The ambiance is nice, small town, homey, but unfortunately lacks the authentic fresh taste that mom and pop restaurants usually bring.
