This place has really been a disappointment. During lock down they were on ubereats as a completely different company name charging more than 4 dollars than walk in menu cost. The food was good so I decided to just get food to to go instead. It was good until lately. So I ordered something last week that was normally 8.99 now not only is it 12.99 the item itself was half the size. When you order your food at the counter, you can see all the bustling activity of the food being prepared. We live about a mile away and just started going here about 6 months ago when we were looking for something new and different to try. The first thing I love is their extensive menu, truly something for everyone. Second, their prices are reasonable especially for the large portions! Sometimes we dine in, but mostly we take food to go and eat at home. The dining experiences have been 5 stars-clean, friendly and not noisy. We also have come in later (close to 8 pm) and noticed that they started their clean up for the night but that doesn't bother us one bit. We respect they want to get home to their families as soon as possible after closing. We never feel rushed or get the feeling we are not wanted. My husband usually orders a burger or melt, my son likes the carne asada fries, and we all love their wings. My orders tend to vary because I like to try different menu items. My favorite so far is their fish and chips! Generous thick filets and the batter doesn't get soggy with lemon or malt vinegar. They refused to make the correct strawberry smoothie we ordered, they gave us a green smoothie, I'm not sure what it was. Even though we didn't even drink one sip, they refused to make the correct one. It's really sad, the strawberry one is so good, and that's what we came for. Over the past several months, the food quantity has become skimpy and noticeably "cheaper". Whether it's the pandemic, or challenges with the food supply chain, the once favorite place for locals has lost some of its luster. *Salads have less meats and vegetables. *Breakfast burritos have large tortilla wrapping, hiding less eggs, less potatoes, and less ingredients. Sandwiches and sides are not the same. Smaller. Less value. I sure hope you return to your "old" winning ways. First let me say I love John's. Been coming here for years. What's not to like about it. Food is good. The place is always clean. But tonight I got there @ 8 and I have never felt so unwanted. The place closes at 9. 3/4 of the chairs are stacked on the tables. The place has an overly strong smell of cleaner. I appreciate clean, but shutting down an hour before closing. The lady behind the counter told me to go sit on the small section that didn't have the chairs upside on the tables. The smell of cleaner is ridiculously strong. The girl behind the counter looked upset that I was there. I get it's slow so they start to clean up early. But come on. Maybe it empty in the evening because this is what people walk into. On the flip side. I never come in during the week. Only in the weekend and usually in the morning. Again food is bomb. And the old man who runs the place is awesome. We have been dining at John's for probably 40 years. We have always loved their spaghetti dinner (Greek style), and still do. They added great salads to their menu a few years back, and their fried zucchini is the best around! They have always had large breakfasts, so large we share one. We like their multi-flavor soda machine too, which was a recent addition. John's is more than a burger joint, although they do have good burgers and even a family burger meal. Eat local! read more

I absolutely love this place!! They are reasonably priced and they have fast service! This is a casual dining environment with plenty of seating. I have never had to wait too long to get served here. I also love that you can call in an order and pick it up with no problems. The burgers are outstanding!! Breakfast is great too and they always have some kind of special before 11am. I have never had any issues with customer service or rudeness so if anyone posts that kind of review, it has to be a one time event. The people here are GREAT. Our first visit to John's. We heard they had recently remodeled, so we thought we would check it out. I will say the placed looked great. Very clean and fresh. The wait staff was very friendly and effeciant. As for the food, we were disappointed. The fried chicken dinner was made with frozen (and what appeared to be precooked) chicken. It lacked taste and seasoning. The chili cheese fries used canned chili that tasted like it had been reheated a few times. Good food, good drinks. Waiters male employees need to enforce rules. After school groups of kids hang out there. They bring in drinks from outside liquor store, food, make noise, horseplay, etc. Even though sign says no outside food or drink. Male waiters refuse to tell kids not to bring food or drink from outside. They also don't brief them to buy food from restaurant. Or to stop horseplay. Only one telling them is female waitresses. I went to John's since i was nearby and was feeling like a good burger. I've been here many times before, but wasn't really observant as much as this last time i went. I went to just get a cheeseburger special to go. It wasn't busy which was nice because i ordered right a way. The cashier was nice and i waited for about 5 mins for my burger. During that 5 minutes i took a picture of the inside at the front. When i got home i got the burger and it smelled good. I ate a few fries before taking a bite into my burger and that first bite was the best...until the special sauce flew out the back of the burger. If you attempt to eat a burger i would suggest having lots of napkins on your lap or eating over a plate. I remember eating inside one time when it was busy. You order your food, you get a number and they bring the food to your table. This place has a hodgepodge of items from breakfast to fried chicken to their specialty which is burgers. The service is pretty good and the staff is very friendly. You order at the counter and take a seat with your number. A waitress brings your food and will provide refills if needed. I had the burger last time which was good. On this occasion I had the veggie burger and fried zucchini. The veggie burger is pretty standard and at first glance it looked pretty dry but all the sauce, veggies and nicely toasted bun made it worth getting. The fried zucchini is my favorite- very crispy and light and tastes like zucchini, not batter. I highly recommend the fried zucchini!!! My dad got the super burger which is a 10oz burger with cheese and onions. It was massive. Mom got the 1/4lb burger which seemed to enjoy. Aunt got the chicken sandwich which looked very moist. Uncle got breakfast for dinner- the porkchops with eggs and hashbrowns. The chops looked a lil dry but this place had pretty darn good portions for the price. Service is pretty good as well- we were asked several times during our meal if we needed refills for drinks or anything else.
