Fantastic dogs! We happened to be driving past John's today and stopped for lunch. The chili cheese dog was the best I've ever had and the kraut dog was great as well. Awesome friendly service and great prices. Can't wait to come back here and try the other dogs on the menu. Cannot recommend this place enough

Excellent coney style hot dogs! It's a small takeout only place that is very clean, def has a hotdog vibe decor going, and the people I've met working there are super nice. Service is quick and friendly! Best hot dog option in this area. Better than most of the local institutions.

The crab cakes melt in your mouth, the complimentary bread is fresh and warm. The menu is eclectic, offering everything from fresh seafood and creative appetizers to steaks, pasta dishes, salads, and seasonal specials, so there's something for just about everyone. In the summer, the outdoor garden is especially charming. With its tables tucked among the greenery and an outdoor bar, it feels romantic, relaxed, and a little bit like you've escaped the suburbs for the evening and found yourself in the heart of a tiny European street at a village restaurant. The dining room is surprisingly spacious for a Piermont restaurant, yet still remains intimate. Between the sidewalk seating that brings a bit of a Parisian café atmosphere to the village and the beautiful garden out back, there are plenty of great spots to enjoy a main fish or a few appetizers .... or both. And while drinks can vary depending on who's behind the bar, my favorite bartender there makes a truly excellent cocktail (no names). Overall, a great place for sitting at the bar and mingling with whoever is sitting next to you, or dinner with your special person.

You could smell it from afar. I loved the sweet n sour sauce with a kick that came with it. The sausage rolls were so juicy with the pastry perfectly flaky and the chili con carne was delicious. A great Irish pub with incredibly warm service, great atmosphere and realllly good food. We kicked things off with a spice bag - a total delight with amazing curry dips. We also split Brussels sprouts- deeply charred and tossed with an abundance of walnuts, craisins and bacon. We also split an enormous baked potato stuffed with short rib and Swiss cheese. Everything was super fresh, big portions and really well priced! Their menu is extensive and definitely worth exploring some more (I'm looking at you, Guinness pancakes). Our waitress (Kelly?) was great...we really enjoyed our visit and have plans to return!

This restaurant is known for authentic Spanish small plates, generous paellas, imported Spanish ingredients, decadent desserts, and wonderful warm bread to start your culinary meal with. Abdul and Roberto make a perfect drink, whether it's a simple Espresso Martini or their house-made sangrias. . All this in a warm and friendly setting. The seafood paellas are portion perfect ie; large, the tapas favorites include garlic shrimp, octopus, croquetas, Iberico ham, lamb chops, and seasonal specials. Because the dining room is relatively small, expect a noisy environment. Weekend waits can be long because of this restaurant's popularity, but it is so worth the wait. If one arrives early, there will be no problem with sitting at the bar or nabbing a table. The staff is friendly, the clientele is neighborly, and you're guaranteed to enjoy your restaurant experience here. For Piermont, it's one of the strongest dining experiences available, particularly if one enjoys sharing plates. If you're going for the first time, I'd order the garlic shrimp, a few tapas to share, and one of the paellas for the table. Thank you Benny for bringing Piermont to our neighborhood. *For those across the river in Westchester, enjoy Basque in Tarrytown.

Nestled just a stone's throw from the Tappan Zee Bridge, the intimate Spanish restaurant offers an experience that is both approachable and memorable. Where some menus can overwhelm diners with endless selections and unfamiliar terminology, Basque takes a more refined approach. The menu is modest yet thoughtfully curated -- ideal for those exploring Spanish cuisine for the first time. Begin with a selection of tapas before choosing from one of their signature paellas, including seafood, meat, vegetarian, or surf-and-turf options. Pair the meal with a pitcher of sangria and settle in while the kitchen prepares a dinner worth savoring alongside good conversation. Beyond the meal itself, the village of Piermont provides the perfect setting for an evening stroll along the river. It is a charming way to end the night before heading back across the Hudson and down into New Jersey.

So I booked it for my wife's birthday and was excited to take her and our two kids. This is not a family friendly place. My kids are very well mannered and yet it seemed not welcomed there. Clearly you're under a ticking clock (1.5 hr limit)and the wait staff is impatient, the menu is dense which is great because there's a lot of interesting and unique dishes. But they don't give you time to understand and decide. We had soft shell crab, was very good, fried zucchini blossoms were decent but needed salt, the meatballs were good but needed salt. Pizza was good. I had the porchetta which was good. The squid ink pasta was solid. Wine was great value at $60 a bottle for all Italian wine. We had the Chardonnay and it was the highlight of the meal. But it was hard to enjoy it with the vibe that we somehow were imposing. Honestly it was all male servers plus the owner and I think a woman's touch for hospitality would go a loooong way here to help this place be more convivial. The weirdest and off putting ambiance thing is that they were playing country music which did not vibe with the joint at all. We didn't stay for desert, and glad we didn't.

That said, if you're craving raw fish it's convenient for a Piermont resident, affordable, easy to get a table, and takeout is always an option. A lot of the menu leans toward rolls drenched in heavy sauces which makes it hard to tell just how fresh the fish really is... or isn't. But if you order a sushi entrée, it does come with soup and salad. They also serve Nigori sake, not always a given at more middle-of-the-road sushi spots, so that's a definite plus if you like the milky stuff like I do. It's easy, it's quiet, and they'll occasionally throw in a few extra pieces, which is always appreciated. Being right off 9W makes parking simple, proving that in Piermont easy parking does still exist, even if it's not where you expect it.

Memo and Omid also make sure all aspects of your service is perfect. Some of the best quality food you will eat. Some of the best service you will ever have. Very fair prices, no rush, no problems, great wine, beer, drink menus, great food selections and deserts. This restaurant is set in the heart of Piermont which is a quaint little town with interesting shops. It's set by the Hudson River and very close to the Tappan Zee Bridge. For starter we had the beet salad, coconut shrimp, and the crab cake. Of course they were all delicious. They served fresh baked bread hot out of the oven. For mains we had the Halibut Provençal served with Basmati rice and snow peas. We also had the Pan Sear King Salmon served soba Japanese noodles and asparagus. For desert we had the Bailey's Cheesecake, and the Motrin Dark Chocolate Cake. I cannot stress how great everything always is. It is with the drive to come here. I highly recommend them.
