BEWARE -- Take 5 is a scam! I was told my coolant was mostly water and recommended a flush. Had the…read moreflush done and was back in 3 days because my car overheated and shut down. I had to go back every 2 days to get my reservoir refilled. At visit #6, after 13 days, they wanted to complete a reflush because they knew something was wrong. Within an hour and a half of my car being in the driveway after the reflush, I had antifreeze all over my driveway. Took it back the next day and found out from the new manager that the initial flush should never have been recommended. My car didn't need it only had 67k miles on it. Buicks don't need the first flush until 100k miles. I NEVER had any issues with my car until Take 5 touched it. Sales and new manager both agreed that they did something wrong. The previous manager was the technician; he was on his way out the door and just didn't care. He should have caught not doing the flush and his careless attitude damaged my car. After 7th visit of having coolant added in 2 weeks, the new manager called the district manager, and I was told to call and file a claim, which I did that day. A few days later, my claim got denied because they said "they did the service I paid for". I did NOT pay for a service to be done wrong and I did not pay for Take 5 to damage my car. Now, instead of owning up to your mistake, I had to go through all this hassle. My car was not drivable therefor I was not able to get to work. I had to call the dealership to get it in, which took another week of no car, and when I dropped it off coolant was pouring our of underneath my car in the dealership parking lot. I had to pay Take 5 $150 for them to damage my car and another $1500.00 in repairs. Pay the extra money and go to a dealership if you are not able to do the work yourself. Don't get scammed by Take 5's unethical practices.

Why respond to this post if you genuinely don't care about your customers? To make it worse? I'll update if they do respond. We drove up from Florida to visit family - as we do several times a year - and realized it was time for an oil change. We chose this location based on ratings and proximity to where our family reside. Huge mistake! While we were in line, we noticed a pregnant female extremely upset because the tech caused "$7,000 in damage to her car" and the store refused to make it right. They were telling her to leave the store because she was causing a scene - that should have been the red flag we needed. But it wasn't my business and I don't know the entire story. We paid for full syn oil change + tire rotation, and asked them to air up the tires in our brand new 2024 Subaru to which they agreed. I noticed while they were rotating the tires in our AWD vehicle that they did not do so in diagonal pattern as is the correct way. I pointed it out and the lead guy on site. Manager? Said "that's how we always do it." So instead of apologizing, or better yet, knowing how to properly perform a service they charge $30 for, he profers a lame excuse. They did agree to correct their mistake. How many unsuspecting vehicle owners have they done this to if it's how they always do it? This can lead to blowouts and unexpected accidents in the future!! So I get in the car because "it's all done," and I asked if they filled the tires with air as we had one that was very low. He tells me yes and that the fluids were topped off, tires were rotated and oil was changed. I turned the car on and the tire sensor was still on indicating it wasn't done. He says "they must have forgotten." So they finally air up the tires, I pay $112 and head on my way. I get home and pop the hood and notice they didn't top off ANY of the fluids, not only that but all of my after market metal valve stem covers were missing. We had to buy new fluids to top them off and just purchased new stem covers on Amazon. Highly disappointed in unprofessionalism, dishonesty and severe lack of customer service. I'd love to speak to the owner should they be interested in reaching out for more info.

(Well, that ended up being only $25 off per two separate visits at specific time periods. ) Anyway, while I was there, the owner, Steve brought out pictures of the underneath of my car. (Also texted these to me.) Stated that I needed a whole new radiator and hoses. That I had a leak in a seam of my radiator. Showed me that pic of it. I told him that I had NO leaks noted on my garage floor, which I understood as how you would know if you had a radiator leak. Especially one being as bad as needed attention that day. He told me that the cost was $1300!!!!! I NEVER do more than an oil change unless I check things out further and get 2nd and 3rd opinions. This day I was not thinking correctly. So, I agreed for him to do the radiator. A loaner car was given and charged to me for $20/day. I should never have left my car. He also added that my car needed attention to a few other things - Struts and control arm bushings were worn, stabilizer links (worn and broken), tie rod needed replaced. Since the struts/stabilizers were found as RED and needing immediate attention. I came back the next day to pick up my car. I drove it straight down the road to my other auto repair place (which I should have done the day before). They disagreed that the radiator even needed done after I showed them the pictures, let alone the huge cost. I then made an appt for the next day to have them check out the other repairs that Shaw Auto pointed out = estimate was $1617.18 which included shocks, struts, sway bar, need for reset steering angle ($20) and 4 wheel alignment ($140). After I left there, My Engine light went on my dash, also my Hybrid engine caution lights. I was furious. My car horn was very weak also (As I had to honk at someone who pulled out in front of me.) I drove straight back to Shaw Auto and told him my dilemma. He gave me back the keys to the car loaner and put my car up on the rack. I left, but was very nervous about letting him even "fix' the 'problem'. So, I drove back in about 40 minutes. My car was still up on the rack. He asked me why I was back. I told him I wanted my car back. He told me it was being 'fixed'. I asked, for what. He said that there were bubbles in the coolant of my (new) radiator repair. What?! I looked it online. The repair was not done correctly or not detailed enough. Bubbles in the coolant is detrimental to a hybrid car. So, I waited another hour for my car. I did get to take it home after they test drove it after their 'fix'. I went back to my usual auto repair place the next day, and they told me I needed NONE of the repairs listed that Shaw Auto had taken pictures of and told me that needed repaired. My car was in excellent condition for its age and would last a very long time. So, do NOT go to Shaw Auto in Cuyahoga Falls. Huge rip off. Please, get a 2nd opinion on any big repairs. Shame on you, Steve!
