I really enjoyed the view and atmosphere here. The space was very spacious, and the music was amazing. The food was excellent, with the charcuterie board being my favorite. The variety of cheeses was impeccable. The lamb bread wasn't my favorite, as it had a very strong lamb flavor. The service was outstanding--10/10. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back.
We came for Easter this year with a large group. We were well taken care of by staff and made a reservation prior! The parking gets a bit crowded and there's a short walk from the actual car to the restaurant. The walk to the bathroom is kind of far and annoying, but that's probably the only con. It's pricey, but beautiful and right on the beach with spectacular views and VIBESSSS. The food did not disappoint either.
Boy, oh boy--what a story this turned into! I had tried to visit this place several times before, but something always came up. I finally made it here this year to celebrate my birthday, and overall, it was absolutely worth the wait. Perfect timing always We ordered food and drinks, and at first, everything was going well. The server wasn't outstanding, but she did her job. The drinks, however, were excellent--I had the Porn Star, and it was amazing. Later on I tried the coffee martini which was very good as well. When the food arrived, it was a mixed experience. My Greek salad was good, though not quite what I expected. My husband's steak was amazing, and my best friend's chicken was also very good. Unfortunately, her husband's sea bass arrived cold on the inside and clearly undercooked. This is where things took a great turn. The server apologized and took the plate back to the kitchen, and then Susie stepped in. She sincerely apologized, offered her recommendation, and personally brought out a new dish--along with extra fries from the manager to make up for the inconvenience. We truly appreciated the gesture. During conversation, they realized it was my birthday, and that's when the magic happened. Out came the most incredible birthday dessert platter--tiramisu, chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, in a fresh fruit basket -followed by four shots of limoncello to celebrate. Such a thoughtful and generous touch that made the lunch unforgettable. The ambiance was stunning--far beyond what I expected. Beautifully designed space with breathtaking views. Special kudos to Susie, who turned a disappointing moment into one of the most memorable birthday celebrations I've ever had.

I've been to Miami more times than I can count, and somehow this place slipped past me. That's the only regret--because now, it's a must every time I return. What they've created here is something rare. A narrow strip of sand, backed by a busy causeway--land most would overlook--transformed into a destination that feels intentional. Not just a restaurant, not just a bar... but a full experience. Atmosphere Open-air, thatched wood design with waterfront views and a soft breeze throughout. The setting blends beach, lounge, and dining seamlessly. We came for Sunday brunch and it was perfectly dialed in--DJ, live sax, and drum performers creating energy without overwhelming the space. Food The execution here was impressive, especially considering the unique kitchen setup. * Oysters -- fresh and properly chilled * Octopus -- tender with a clean char * Ceviche -- bright and refreshing * Lobster pasta -- rich, well-balanced, and satisfying * Whole grilled bazillno -- crispy skin, moist inside, simple and well done Everything came out fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Service This is where they truly stand out. In a city where many places treat guests like transactions, this felt genuine. * Staff was attentive, engaging, and smooth * Everyone--from bussers to management--moved with purpose * Our server, Ashraf, was friendly, sharp, and brought a great, natural energy to the table * The manager checked in consistently, making sure everything flowed properly Hospitality here feels intentional--done the way it should be. Final Thoughts Joia Beach delivers more than just a meal--it delivers an experience. From the setting to the service to the overall vibe, everything comes together in a way that feels effortless. Unexpected, memorable, and absolutely worth returning to.
Had the most disrespectful & uncomfortable experience with a waiter from Joaia. So unfortunate because the host of an event we were attending did everything possible to have a memorable outcome from 8AM - 12PM w/access to the beach afterwards. At 11AM this unseasoned waiter with zero customer service requested rudely that we had to move from the loungers because they were reserved. Perfect no problem... we moved. Then he came to the area we were sitting on the sand & told us we had to get up & move out. In a tone that should only be taken if you're disciplining a child & not even. After asking him to bring it down a notch that we understood the message he got even more belligerent with our party & the crowd. How did this employee of Joaia not execute his request with more class or etiquette is beyond me considering the high standards this establishment abides by. How dare him belittle a crowd of locals who have probably seen the evolution of this town for decades. Joaia was a public beach access I frequented in the late 80s early 90s. Beautiful memories from that same shoreline while my father fished off the marina side. Joaia please have some professional development sessions with the wait staff because they should not treat customers (potential, past, current) with this level of service. Our intentions were (as always) to support local businesses during events. Watch & observe the crowd before assuming otherwise. On a lighter note your security & custodial staff were friendly & smiling. A huge contrast from the personality we encountered in the dining area.
The experience had its hiccups, but I can now check this off my must-visit list. Had a very early dinner reservation at 5:30 pm for my birthday because I wanted to enjoy the daylight and views. We arrived even earlier at 5 pm because we were worried about the rain and downpours that day. I checked in with front desk and we asked for a table on their sandy beach, they told me that area was closed (even though there was a table of two clearly sitting there) and that they were waiting for the manager to reopen it. I begged and pleaded and explained it was my birthday and if they could just please seat us while the weather was obviously clear. They made us wait 30 minutes for nothing! Finally seated us. We ordered from the Miami Spice menu and at least the food was good! Greek salad was nice and fresh as was the salmon entree. Loved the refreshing and yummy salad and sauce that was served under the salmon too. The food came out super quick. We rushed through dinner as the storm clouds were rolling in again. And as we were in the middle of our dessert, it started pouring again and we paid and left. I was not a fan of the dessert with cake, pistachios and ice cream, flavors were off for me and didn't blend well. No acknowledgment of my birthday by the server, no candle or anything on my dessert, even though I had marked birthday on my reservation and let hostess know. I feel like if they had just sat us when we arrived, we wouldn't have had to rush and could have enjoyed our entire dinner without rain, so I was annoyed at their unwillingness to seat people when the sky was blue and sun was out. Still, I did manage to check this off my bucket list and enjoy less than an hour of amazing views and cool vibes dining by the water. See pics. You can park at Jungle Island next door if you don't want to pay for their expensive valet. It's a very short walk - one block.
Beautiful venue with amazing views of the city! Love that it's literally a beach where you can kick your shoes off and step in the sand. I went for an alumni event for the University of Miami and had a blast. Service was great the the bar and with the passed apps. Really loved the lamb chops and little tuna tartare tacos.
I came here once for dinner which was truly amazing and another time during the day wanting to relax by the water. The dinner was absolutely amazing, delicious food, beautiful views, and music at a decent volume. For the daytime, I went with some girls and it was NOT relaxing at all. There was a lady with a speaker and singer and she was extremely loud and aggressive. Almost every area to sit at/by had a speaker there so it was a headache. Both times the food, drinks, and severs were great. This might be common sense but ladies, do not wear heels because there's sand everywhere. Highly recommend coming here for dinner one night!
Joia beach resturant, its a must!!! We went for my wife birthday! The food was amazing, a little on the pricey side, however, the service and the ambiance on the bay- made every penny worth it. I have to give an extra THANK YOU to Susana who helped our server. She was on point with an issue we had with one of the plates my friend had. She was able to take care of it and made sure we were all satisfied with their service. The Manager also was very nice and provided the complimentary dessert platter to celebrate my wife birthday! I would highly recommend this place t anyone looking for a very chique, hidden gem!
Join beach is a caricature of what you think Miami is if you've never been to Miami. A restaurant and bar on the beach with a dj pumping club beats while fire dancers dance and beautiful people in their swimwear have photo shoots on the sand. I really appreciated how there was no cover charge to get in and if you really didn't want to spend any money it did not seem like you had to. You can just hang out and dance and enjoy the water. The food and drinks is a whole nother story though. Overpriced and small portions rule here. The drinks aren't the best and the line to even get them takes absolutely forever. I came on a Saturday night and you can tell the place was understaffed with waiters and bartenders running around non stop. Overall a nice place to hang out on the beach but not a place I would go for dinner.
We visited Joia in Miami for an evening dinner and had a lovely experience. Dining right on the sand made it feel special and relaxing. The food was good, and the views were beautiful, especially as the evening set in. Overall, a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal with great ambiance. We truly had a lovely time and would happily return.
TRULY horrible service. We came here and it was such a vibe walking in and we were celebrating my cousins birthday who was visiting from Australia. We were so happy to be there and the view was so nice and our seating was beautiful. We first ordered water from our waiter which came fairly quickly. After that we did not see our server until at least 15 minutes later. I asked one of the "bus girls" or whatever they were just standing around looking at us where our waiter was and she said "he's busy". Ok? We proceed to order our drinks after I call our waiter over and two appetizers. We don't see him again for a while but ask for an extra appetizer when he does show up. He leaves for 30 more minutes. By that time, our water and drink glasses were completely empty. We did not have our extra appetizer and no one had come by to take our food order. So after one hour of being there we had all had one water, one drink, and half an appetizer with no sign of anything else coming and no waiter in sight. It was honestly bizarre service, we really wanted to order more because the food was good. But when the waiter came back to check on us without our extra appetizer in hand after 30 something minutes and clueless to our previous request, we had already decided to leave. This was easily a $600-700 tab they could have made but there was no chance we were going to sit around with empty glasses on Friday night!! So weird. Absolutely the worst service in Miami- don't come here unless you want a nice view with no food or beverages.

Joia Beach has been one restaurant on my list to try, and I'm so happy I finally went! Reservations are a must as they seem often busy, and parking is available for $20. When we arrived, we requested not to be seated directly on the sand and were moved after asking our host. I wish they offered us options before seating my party of 4. For a Sunday night, the music was blasting, creating a lively dining atmosphere. I forgot my waiter's name, and it's not on the check, but he was terrific and well-versed in the menu. I enjoyed a cute Paradise Found for my drink (unfortunately, our drinks took over 15 mins) and ordered a Joia Burger. My meal was so filling. I did think my burger was slightly under medium rare, but I didn't mind (our food came to our table quicker than the food). There was a photographer who took framed photos for $20 each. I bought 1 as the photographer took very nice photos but they should offer deals if you buy multiple. Lastly for dessert, I enjoyed a delicious crème brûlée. My table enjoyed our food and will certainly return to Joia Beach. It was an excellent restaurant to enjoy my birthday! read more

The food and the service was absolutely great 10 out of 10 I would recommend it is a little more on the expensive side, but it's not too crazy. I mean you get exactly what you pay for so I think it's really worth the money. read more

The perfect touch of Tulum in Miami! Reservation is a must. It's very out so wear light clothing due to restaurant being outside. Food was amazing. Very fresh and well seasoned salmon. The potatoes was yummy. Branzino is my favorite read more

I wasnt able to get the full experience because of the weather so we sat at the bar. This place is beautiful and the vibes are nice. The bartenders were great. Once we sat down we were helped pretty quickly. To start we did the pina colada and pornstar martini. Its limited food at the bar but still great choices overall. We tried the yellowtail for me i didnt enjoy it but im also not a yellowtail lover. The truffle fries and shrimp were good. There is a live band playing which is nice. Beautiful ambiance, great music, and views. I came with a large party for a friend's birthday and my experience was much better than my first visit in 2020. We ordered from Miami spice menu and I had the grilled chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms, however, it tasted like chicken Marsala? Wasn't expecting the taste but it was prepared to perfection and tasteful. I had the Greek spreads and baklava for dessert. I tried two different drinks, the Annes cooler and porn star martini- I preferred the annes cooler as the martini was too sweet and seemed to be prepared differently from others who had ordered in the group. The server was attentive and efficient for a large party. Joia is definitely a must have experience to embody Miami life! read more
Dined here for a wonderful New Year's Eve experience. Located right on the sand, the theme of the night was something celestial, with decorations and live entertainment to match. I remember them explaining they had a special chef for the night and they were phenomenal! The food was fantastic, pictured below, and included Beef Wellington, Scallops, Truffle Pasta and more. The truffle was very mild (points for not being fake tasting) and the beef was cooked perfectly with the pastry still crisp. The restaurant offers beautiful views and club atmosphere. We ended up continuing our plans elsewhere to ring in the new year, however I'm sure it would have been great here as well. read more
My friends wanted to come here for brunch and I was a little confused why. It looked like a tourist trap to me. In some ways it was, but honestly Joia exceeded my expectations. The service and ambiance were def on the tourist side, but the food was really good. The beach club environment was fun. For the love of all things good I wish they'd turn the music down though. Sure they want a fun, clubby atmosphere - but come on, it's brunch. People need to be able to talk without yelling and we literally could not hear each other from feet away. We found it sketchy how hard it was to find their brunch menu. Wasn't offered when we arrived and they couldn't provide it when we asked. The one posted online had no prices. We thought this meant it would be scammy but to our pleasant surprise brunch prices were normal. Everything we ate was delicious. The watermelon salad was a highlight, but the pide and the tsatziki were also excellent. Prices were pretty fair for the quality and the ambiance and we all left feeling satisfied. read more
My true score is a 3.5 I've been to Joia beach on 2 different occasions. This is definitely a vibes place. You walk through a garden setting with plants and trees surrounding you. When you come out, the space is open to the restaurant which is right on the water. You can either sit in the sand or under the covered area. The fans are limited and it's hot ( it's florida so it's always hot). I would recommend bringing a mini fan because you'll need it. Service has been consistent across both times. The 1st time I had the chimichurri steak. I couldn't sub out the potatoes for fries - just an fyi. The truffle fries were really good. The 2nd time I had the fried lobster tail bites which were amazing. I would've gotten the main course lobster tail but it was only grilled and based off last time I didn't think they would make any adjustments. We got fries again and they were awesome. The tomatoes & burrata tasted heavenly as an appetizer. My friend did get the shrimp from the raw bar and enjoyed it. Everyone at our table ended up ordering the fried lobster bites so it was definitely a crowd favorite. My friend enjoyed the Pina colada - it's her fav. I had a Mai Tai which tasted very good. And I can't forget my fav the crème brûle- it was soo delicious. Overall, this is a great place to hang out and enjoy the beach vibes. Service was good and the food was good as well. I will note that on one occasion there was a 2 hour timeframe at the table while the 2nd time we weren't set with a time limit. Not sure if it depends on the day or time you come but that's something to definitely keep in mind because that time limit almost deterred us from coming back the 2nd time around. Wow, wow, wow! There are no words to describe his place. It is heaven on earth, absolute paradise. Amazing service, the staff is so friendly and willing to help. This place is beautiful, really cute for a date night or going with a group of friends. We made reservations for dinner around sunset. Your table is located on the sand so keep that in mind for footwear. There were a few groups who were there for the beach and were drinking/partying on the sand but somehow it's still a nice environment to enjoy your dinner. Food was good, not the best ever for the price but the ambience makes it worth it. read more
Joia Beach was a pleasure! Everything was amazing from the atmosphere to the service to the food! The food was so so good, Joia really didn't miss on anything but some of my standouts would definitely have to be the skirt steak & the chicken breast. (I will definitely be returning to try the burger ;)) The only downside of the whole dinning experience was the cocktails - they just weren't up to par but other than that this is a perfect restaurant! I also love that you are directly on the beach giving it a distinct Miami vibe compared to most restaurants in the city! read more

It's been a while since my last visit and I was so happy that they added so many more vegan options! The drinks were really good and service was good there were no issues with any of the order for the large party and she was friendly. The vegan flatbread was delicious! I also loved the eggplant. My friends loved the carpaccio, the burger and the chicken. Be aware that they cannot seat you unless the entire party is present. They had live entertainment with fire dancers which is always fun. I give it 4 stars for location and decor but food I was not impressed. Staff were very attentive. You could only valet park and that's it. Bathrooms very far from actual restaurant. Menu very expensive. Uhm overall wasn't really impressed. But very pretty walking in. Nice beach set up. Hint why after the concert I went to food truck to eat because I left this restaurant starving. Very small portions for the price. Not worth coming here to eat a full course meal. read more

Came for a few drinks and appetizers with some friends for a girls day. We enjoyed ourselves and the entire atmosphere with flying dancers and lots of entertainment plus a great DJ. The beach was nice to lounge and chat as well. We ordered a plethora of items however, the beef carpaccio and grilled octopus stood out the most. Both were very tender, fresh and flavorful. If you're in miami, definitely give it a try! Only downside was kids splashing around during the day, but hey, if you're looking for family friendly vibes then enjoy! read more
This restaurant has really good seafood and has absolutely stunning water front views especially during golden hour. During the day the sand and the vibe just screams Miami so I'd definitely check this place out if you're on vacation. The service is attentive as well! Just wow. Everything is amazing. Food is fresh and delicious. Food comes out promptly. Staff is attentive and pleasant. They have entertainment. Both times I have been they had a dj or an entertainer. Place feels like you're in Tulum or another country far from Miami. I highly recommend. Second time to Joia and I always enjoy it. This time was perfect during Florida winter. The weather was just right with a full moon out. The vibes were just right. We got there around 6 on a Saturday. So dinner crowd was just starting. The food came out accordingly and the drinks were great. The place did get packed towards the end when we were leaving like 8ish. We were seated on the sandy part. Which was cute for date night. And I felt our tables were far apart enough that you aren't hearing other diners conversations. Food/Drinks: we had the Branzino with a mix of watermelon salad which was a nice balanced mix. I would never think to pair those two together but it was perfect. The salmon crudo was really fresh and crunchy as well with the dried onion flakes. And omg the banana bread cake, we originally wanted something else and wasn't available and the waitress said there was the banana bread cake but it's not on the menu and I'm so happy she did that! Our drinks he ordered red wine but I got mojito which was good. Didn't taste much of the alcohol. But maybe that's because I'm a strong drinker. Aesthetics: sexy beachy vibes. Think Tulum. It's a little walk from the valet area to the dining area. So ladies if you have heels on make sure you are prepared for the walk. They do have a Lounge area/dance floor area outside of the dining side that you can go if you don't want to eat there. I'm not sure if you need to make reservations for that part. Service: was great. The food and drinks came quickly and waitress came and checked with us a few times. We are easy dinners so never really need much. Waters stayed filled which I like. Although we kind of did get asked if we can leave since our allotted time for our reservation was up. Which was cool they offered shots at the bar which was like a house watermelon vodka which I couldn't drink since I'm allergic to vodka. read more

Our first round of drinks for 3 don julio was 150 dollars? Not sure about that math and was a turn off to start but the visit got better during Sunday brunch. The place is very lively and our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The food is good some of it was not as flavorful as I expected but overall me and my friends enjoyed all of our dishes. As many places do in Miami expect the 20 percent gratuity tax to be automatically added. See you next time read more
I must say that this restaurant deserves higher stars than what it has currently. The view is out of this world gorgeous along with a live DJ spinning some chill house and wonderfully curated drinks, the experience is a must. I went for a dinner party and had the chance to experience their set menu which included yellowtail carpaccio, a trio of Greek dips, salmon, baked chicken, and mushroom risotto. I must say that everything that I had was very delicious and fresh. The service was also on point and accommodating. I will definitely return to taste more of their menu items and relax by the water. read more
Atmosphere is an A+ . It felt like we were at the Mediterranean. Service and food were great as well. We came by boat and the tender took us to shore and back to the boat afterwards. We had the surf and turf platter and some appetizers and some sides. For 6 of us it was plenty of meat and seafood and so very tasty. It had so many items on it I cannot even list them all. Joia Beach isn't just a restaurant-- it's an experience. I took my mother here for a special occasion and spent the day here. We got unlucky with one of the coldest weekends of the year but we still enjoyed our time. The cocktails and grilled seafood platter were delicious. The fresh pita for the babaganoush was also so soft and flaky. The ambiance was fun and exciting with the live entertainment yet relaxing with our toes in the sand gazing at the boats that pass through the bay. There was a dancer performing on an aerial hoop attached to the ceiling of the main hut and also a live singer who came on throughout the afternoon. The service was also fantastic as our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. This place is on the more expensive side of restaurants but it's worth every penny given how great the food, service, and vibes are. read more

No you cannot bring your own bottle of wine, there are very few options in Miami that allow this, especially for places attracting tourists and as an upscale restaurant. There are FAQ's posted on website as well.

Good evening, Joia Beach Miami Beach does not have a food and beverage minimum. However, they do have a minimum spend requirement of $100 per person for lounge chairs and daybeds. I hope this feed back helps.
