It was my first time visiting, and there was a mix-up with my order where my scone was accidentally given to another customer. When I brought it up to the staff, they seemed confused and asked what scone I had ordered, but since it was my first visit and I hadn't realized there were multiple kinds, I told them I wasn't sure. The owner, I believe, came over to ask what I was missing and again asked what I was missing, I told them the scone and she replied sharply "which one." And then she told me that my scone was given to someone else. Not once in this interaction, I heard an apology for the mix-up or clarification on type of scones they had, which left me feeling a bit at fault for the confusion. The drinks were okay, I ordered the chai banana, which tasted like a regular chai latte with some banana pieces at the bottom of the drink (I wish this recipe was thought out better). Overall, customer service and food were just okay. Perhaps I caught them at a bad time, I'll give it another try in the future and hopefully it'll be a better experience for both customer service and the drink. Scone was good though! read more

When it first opened, the matcha was really good! However, this place got a high volume customer base to where they had to shortcut their matcha and pre-whisk the matcha and have it in a refrigerated bottle. Generally, freshly whisked matcha tastes a lot better and the difference in flavor is very noticeable. I think that because the place is new and hot they simply don't have enough workers to keep up which is totally understandable, I'd just prefer the freshly whisked matcha lattes that take around 5-7 mins than a latte prepared under 2 mins. The service has been great though, everyone is super sweet and the store stays well kept even during the busy hours. I've noticed that the cafe has been packed in the mornings but tapers off later in the day, so if you want a more chill experience, maybe go around 2-3pm? Oh, and I also enjoyed their apple croissant but I think they should up the heat when heating up. The outside was warm but inside it was cold. read more

The barista was super confused, kept trying to find someone to help her but we still got the wrong order. It took so long that we didn't have time for them to correct it. Ordered a pistachio matcha got some type of latte that did not taste good. Waste of money. Cute place but will not be going back unfortunately. read more

I'm surprised no one took photos of the menu and price list yet. The baked good on display can be propped up better in my opinion. They get the baked good from Macrina. Matcha latte is not sweeten but you can request them to sweeten or you can do it at the condiment bar yourself. There were no stirrer sticks though. read more

What a cute place in downtown Issaquah! Brand New and I love it! They have seasonal flavors which were so unique. We got Maple Orange matcha, Spiced Banana Chai, and Cortado. All so rich and satisfying. They even have pastries which looked so good. Next time I'll have to try that! read more

This cafe was really cute and had delicious food options! One of the better matcha lattes I have had in the area. All the employees were very nice and helpful and we got our food and drinks relatively quickly considering how many people were there. It's a nice breakfast or lunch spot for a small group of people (2-3) as the seating was limited and pretty full almost the whole time so seating a large group would be a challenge. A bit on the pricey end but worth checking out! read more

I was so pumped for Jojo's coffee but was left rather disappointed with my beverage, a strawberry matcha latte. I fully recognize this is their soft opening, and I hope they take guest reviews into consideration: My heart broke a little when the barista mixed the strawberry puree and milk together, affecting its presentation. (For those not familiar with strawberry matcha lattes, there should be beautiful layers, from bottom to top of strawberry puree, milk, and matcha.) I don't mind premade matcha, which they used; however, the barista did not mix the premade matcha prior to pouring it in a separate cup. This meant the matcha used in my latte was mostly water since matcha powder tends to separate and settle at the bottom of any cup or container. Then, the barista added more hot water to the already diluted matcha! Needless to say, I was not satisfied with my drink. Jojo's barista skills also left me sad. I've come here four times now and drinks have been very hit or miss. The first drink we had was excellent, well flavored and nice espresso taste that wasn't overpowered by syrup. Loved it and the ambiance of the store so much it motivated me to return a few more times since tho after my most recent visits I'm on the fence on returning... unsure if they are still in soft opening stage and figuring things out or if it is just inconsistent. The 2nd time they were very busy and drinks were more watered down and flavors weren't really detectable. The 3rd and 4th time I ordered ahead of time through DoorDash because I was in a hurry and both times the drinks weren't ready at the time I had set and I had to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes. The latest drink I had this morning ( I ordered a brown sugar latte with soy milk) was bad and undrinkable - the drink tasted sour and watery ... I poured the drink out into another cup when I got home because I didn't detect any espresso or sweetness and it looked just like watery milk and a hint of something else - unsure what it was? The gal making it was a bit distracted and flustered so not sure if she was new or not but I had already driven away and didn't have time to return to have them remake the $8 drink by the time I discovered it. Unfortunately there is no phone number or email to contact them about it. Might try again in the future to see if its better the 5th time as the 1st drinks we had were definitely memorable but will likely give it some more time to see. read more

the place was super cute! paints on the walls and the flowers were just so gorgeous. the service was pretty good! the barista handling the transaction was very sweet. i got myself a strawberry matcha and their apple fritter croissant. the croissant was HUGE and delicious. as for the matcha, i definitely think the puree could be better but id give it a 4/5? definitely don't think they were as prepared for the loaf of customers for a soft launch but the place has great potential :) read more

They have one confusing menu item: options are separated by "/" but it reads like a single item. I watched every person who ordered it get confused when asked to choose a specific toast. Matcha was just a green milk, cold brew taste soooo off we ended up throwing away after one sip. The barista who made my flat white seemed she doesn't know the difference between latte and flat white. Pastries were also mid - something you can get from grocery market bakery section. While the coffee shop's branding is cute, unfortunately their iced matcha latte is not. Not only was the inside of the coffee shop a bit underwhelming compared to how it's shown on social media, but the match latte was not very enjoyable as it was all milk. Understandably, this place is still in its opening days, so hopefully they work on improving their drink ratios. At the moment, I would not recommend you go above and beyond to make the drive all the way out to Issaquah just for this coffee. read more

Stopped in during their soft opening phase and ordered a strawberry matcha and savory croissant pastry. With a shorter line of about 5 people - it took about 5 min for me receive my items and service was friendly and welcoming. I'm always happy to pay a little more for quality matcha, and I really appreciated that they asked about my preferred sweetness level. I like a more matcha-forward flavor, and the strawberry added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering it. I could've gone for an even bolder matcha taste, but overall the drink was well-balanced. For reference if I have to get a matcha at Starbucks, I always ask for an extra scoop of matcha and remove their sweetener syrup. If you're mainly looking for chain-level pricing and aren't as focused on quality, then a coffee chain might be the better fit. This spot is for those who appreciate more thoughtful ingredients, a curated menu, and supporting a small business! Wifi available if you need a spot to work. 2 outdoor tables but Front street is quite busy and noisy. I ordered a strawberry matcha and the avocado toast on sourdough and both were delish, although I did order my matcha with extra ice because I feel like most cafes make them too milky, and I think that was also the right decision here.
