I used to love this place, 15 years ago. We moved, but decided to go back because we wanted another helping of their the fish and chips during Lent. Should have left it a happy memory. The fish was drowning in near inch-thick batter that was under-cooked , leaving it a pasty consistency. They didn't have the awesome curly fries anymore, and the standard chips were underwhelming. I used to live around the block from JoJo's but never tried it as I read about how busy it was. Well, I was back in the neighborhood and got a small sausage pie to go. My, oh my. Outstanding. You know you're eating a great pizza when you're stomach doesn't feel like there's a bowling ball inside you. Crust was just crispy and not burned. Sausage was tasty. Sauce was just right. I'm going to say that Jojo's is #3 for all of New Jersey. If you are in Hamilton, please try it. They have lots of outdoor/open dining as well. I'm glad this place was opened during COVID and the place has outdoor sitting. I was excited to just eat in a restaurant and experience the dining experience. I got the Maryland crab soup, Buffalo wings, ricotta cheese, sausage, and mushroom pizza, and the softshell crab specialty dinner. The soup was ok, not the best, and wouldn't recommend getting it again. The softshell crab dinner was also ok. The wings were decent, typically buffalo wings. Lastly, I do enjoy the pizza. The pizza was hot and fresh when it came out. I like how I can create my own pizza and choose my toppings. The service was decent. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. read more

This is a fun, happy place with great food and drinks. One of the things they are known for besides large portions and good food are the martinis which are poured to the very very top of the glass. The bartenders are so good that they get it right on the money every time Ruth's Chris steakhouse a chain across the United States, started their first restaurant with that philosophy of martinis to the top. There is a book about this. That is quite interesting and Joey seems to have.the same philosophy. We're very lucky in the Robbinsville area with abundant choices for pizza, and maybe we (me!) take it for granted. I missed JoJo s Friday happy hour but I especially missed their pizza. So I picked up my favorite last weekend - white with broccoli. Awesome sliceses of heaven! Let's all support our local businesses, take out is good, but it doesn't replace a full dining room. An old time, but recently updated tavern located on the out skirts of Trenton shines as a neighborhood watering-hole that serves up some serious eats. Happy hour is revered here and everyone in the place orders food and for good reason as the dishes are delectable. Our wings were perhaps the best rendition of Buffalo style that we have ever tasted and the bar pie, which we inhaled, simply delicious. The price: 55 cent wings and pie under $4 - need I say more. Actually everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked scrumptious. Largely a local crowd that is both very friendly and energetic about their go tavern in this neck of the woods. Covid is over, bar is open and summer is around the corner. They worked out a lot of the supply chain issues, prices are reasonable. It deserves the last star. JoJo's has been a regular spot for my boyfriend and I for over 20 years. Our favorite thing to get is grilled clams, French onion soup, pizza or vodka rig. Today we had the BEST service we've ever gotten in over 20 years. DEVIN was our waitress and she was without a doubt the best we've ever had. Devin was attentive, kind, patient and most of all genuine. We will come back, obviously, but only if we get to have Devin again. My friends have moved to Hamilton and while they swear the places are hit or miss, they haven't yet shown me a miss. Jojo's is a jack of all trades place. Wanna drink? There are drinks. Wanna eat? Tons of tables. Place is so popular they have a guy in the parking lot directing you to the few available spots. People park around the sides of the lot and I guess out in the street. Huge local spot, and there's a reason. It's like a diner. Cheesesteaks are good, burgers are reportedly good, pizzas are surprisingly good for this far from NYC. The mustard pie was just odd - I don't get why this has caught on in Trenton - but not bad, and it was clearly a competent pizza despite the mustard. Great bar pie, and I'm sure the larger pies are just as good. I'm not a potato chip fan, but shoving them on my cheesesteak somehow worked. (I think they forgot my mushrooms. I just went with it. Star deduction. Still good service overall despite the crush of people.) Would return, try some other stuff, grab a drink. Very versatile place. read more

I can in good conscience echo the words of the Yelpers who came before me here. Their bar pies are best in class. The crust is crisp but also has a sweet flavor, the crunchiness is reminiscent of a true " tomato pie" but the flavor sets it apart. The sauce is a tad sweet, but with enough spice and to balance the flavors. Our sausage and garlic was one of the best pies I've had in some time, including visits to area pizza icons. But that was just our appetizer. I decided to see what their chicken parm lunch entree was like. It was top Italian restaurant quality. The $6.99 cost was not indicative of the quality or taste. Fresh, perfectly breaded and fried breast that was smothered in sauce and cheese. With plenty of nicely cooked penne. Even with the ample meat sauce the bird was crunchy. My uncle had an equally good sausage sandwich. I've been here before and kind of consider it a neighbor bar, and really just focused on the libations. Currently they seem to be focusing on craft drafts. The list was decent and even included notes and ratings. Prices were lower across the board than more well known brew pubs. With daily drink specials of varying boozes, you should be able to find something to whet your whistle. The decor is barish with at least a dozen tvs, but very clean. Lunch time was almost a full house. The parking lot behind can easily fill up during this meal( some park across the street in another business's lot) We noticed that late lunch hours might be better for future less noisy and crowed visits. Wife and I went for lunch. Cozy restaurant- clean- bar in middle of the room and a small town homey feel. We ordered small antipasto and a large plain pizza. I had the French onion soup that was delicious--Food was good but in the salad the lettuce had too much white lettuce but had a good amount of chopped deli and cheese. The pie was good thin crust. Only real downside our server- we had to keep asking for things- bread- another drink- do you have oregano - can we have a take home box .... overall a good lunch. read more

Wonderful experience tonight at Jojo's! The white cosmo and extensive beer list were the perfect start to an evening after a very rough day. My wife had one of the best BLTs of her life and my vodka rigatoni was top notch, a bellwether for any good Italian restaurant. All recommended and served with a smile by our waitress Devon. She was super helpful, very friendly, and made sure our evening was enjoyable. A long, difficult day was made great and relaxing with good food and exceptional service. Spicy mustard bar pie highly recommended. I don't know if they still have it on the menu, but Jojo's special chicken is my absolute fav! Vodka rigs and antipasto chopped salad are great. Since I'm writing this during difficult times, I suggest supporting small businesses especially really good ones and calling for takeout. Ask if they will do bar pie to go, if not, get the whole pie. The atmosphere is very pleasant and really gives off a sports bar feeling. The place fills up fast so if you're trying to come by, make sure you get here early. The food came out fast, the service was good, and the food was amazing. The pizza has amazing flavor to it but you shouldn't overlook their other dishes. However, my only complaint is that when a pizza is ordered well done, you shouldn't have any flop on your slice. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more
