This is an extremely unprofessional, racist, prejudiced establishment. Me and my, ethnically indian, friend visited for his 21st. We asked if we could sit at one of the open bar seats; they told us that they were backed up with reservations and that we could wait outside. We waited for 40 minutes as no one came in and they closed on us. This is my favorite bar in the area. They have the best wings and pizza. I love the atmosphere!

The pizza was great. It was a little weird walking in seems like all the locals hang out there and outsiders can be easily spotted.

Takeout Spinach and ricotta pizza was very good. Everything was ready at pickup time, and the order was correct.

JoJo's is one of the old school legendary spots that makeup the array of incredible Italian restaurants in Hamilton. What separates JoJo's from the others is just how good every-single-thing is on their menu. I've been here at least 30 times in my life and I've never had a bad experience. Their bar pies and Delmonico steak sandwiches are among the freshest you can get anywhere. The dinner specials like Justin's Chicken and Topped Pork Chops come out perfect every time. The portions are enormous and for the value the prices are hard to beat. This is why if you don't have a reservation you'll be waiting well over an hour to be seated. read more

We stopped in a week ago for my pie fix and i was not disappointed. Anchovy and fresh garlic bar pie almost burnt, came out perfectly. Partner loves their mushroom bacon bar pie, not burnt. I would try it but am fixated on the only pie I ordered in the 10 years since coming here. She won't share a slice of hers, either. Service by that cute Spanish waitress was awesome. Try somewhere that cares about their guests. Food looks great but that only works if you get to try it. No reservations? No problem! They don't mean anything here anyways. Seating is managed on a crumpled up piece of paper. Won't tell you not to try it, perhaps your wait will be less than 2 hours. If you're time is worth less than getting bumped into, then best of luck. Shoulder to shoulder ambiance from the front door to the bathrooms. Would not recommend to a friend of a friend. I'm a middle schooler, my mom took me to Jojo's to try the food since the family loves it. It was great food, im not gonna lie. But I saw an employee smoking IN THE KITCHEN through the side door. My mom then took me there a second time and I couldn't eat the food because I was scared I would eat the cigarette ash. Im extremely disappointed that a restaurant that means so much to my family would do a thing like this. I also saw the same exact employee yelling at a fellow coworker. Our party arrived presently at about 4:00pm. The dining area wasn't to crowded at the time, but already there were no seats available at the bar. I imagine it's because bar pies taste better at the bar. Seating was quick and convenient. Our waiter was kind and expedient. I don't know the actual Happy Hour....well hours, but when we got there it was happy hour. So domestic drafts and bottles were affordable, as well as your standard imports (Stella, Heineken etc). We ordered some wings. During happy hour the appetizers, like beers, are reduced in price. They were crispy and covered in a sauce that couldn't possibly offend any palate. Those brave souls who enjoy testing the absolute limit of their spice tolerance may be disappointed, but to serve a wing that pleases a majority is admirable. I ordered a bar pie, their Pièce De Résistance. It was very enjoyable and I'd recommend it to anyone who walked through the door with two thumbs up, a smile, and probably a bit of grease in my beard. Tried this place out a few weeks ago, review never saved. But if you come to Hamilton, and don't try JoJo's, then you've wasted your time.

How do they do it?!! Everything about this place is amazing and it's always wall-to-wall people, but there's always a table within a few moments. The bar is a blast with a super bartender named Maryellen.... you have to ask for her....her drinks are beyond comparison to anywhere else... their bar pies are so delicious.... I don't know why but even the next day (especially if you order extra cheese) you can have a delicious leftover slice of pie at home. I am astonished that so many places now, if you take home pizza, the next day it has no flavor and the cheese has disappeared ....JoJos the next day is just as or more delicious the way Italian food should be .....who doesn't love leftover Italian food .....i think the sauce on their pizza is their secret.... it's so delicious you could eat it with a spoon... and I have to mention their Clams Casino no restaurant anymore seems to know how to make them and I do so I have a right to critique Clams Casino.... theirs come out with no filling, no breadcrumbs and just a lot of onions, Green peppers and crispy bacon....they are so delicious it's impossible to not want to eat just one more and just one more and just one more Just sayin'.... it's always a treat when you find a place that knows the integrity of specific menu items.... just like very few places anymore know how to make a hoagie.... first of all you have to have a great Italian roll with sesame seeds and go from there ....shame on all of us who remember what great fun food should be!!! Anyway, there isnt anything on the menu that you won't love, so much so, that it's always difficult to pick out just a few things ....and you can count on that!!!!! I've been in the area for 5+ years and tried most all of the noteworthy pizza spots and this is by far my favorite. Crust is light & airy with the perfect crisp (even when not fresh out of the oven). Jo-Jo's Tavern was our post softball league hangout for years when we had our games on the Mercer County Community College campus. It was close. It was cheap. The pizza was great. The crowd was raucous. We might have to wait a while for the pies we ordered, but that gave us time to rehydrate ourselves with whatever was on tap, and tell wild tales about our exploits. So, when I stopped in last week for a late lunch around 2:00, I was surprised that only a couple of tables were occupied and there were less than 6 people sitting at the bar. It was the exact opposite of what I was accustomed to. It was quiet enough to have a good conversation at the bar. In fact, we spoke in hushed tones so the others across the bar could not hear us. I kept it simple. Plain bar pie with a $2 Rolling Rock draft special of the day. The first crunching bite reminded me why I loved Jo-Jo's pizza. Thin crust; firm and crisp. Semi-sweet sauce with a hint of Basil, Enough Mozza to balance the sauce with the mildly salty cheese. The blending flavors while chewing captured my attention in a way that only the best tomato pies do. On my reacquaintance tour of pizza of this part of Trenton/Hamilton, Jo-Jo's pie is at the head of the class (so far). Bar Pie and Draft for under $9. is a great and tasty deal. read more

Well, I'll add my review to that of my son and nephew. No one can claim that Jo-Jo's is not a friendly and popular spot in the nightlife of Hamilton. The biggest turn off is the fact that the place is always trying to put 100 people into a 75 person box. I too, have made many a Tuesday pilgrimage to Jo-Jo's to partake in antipasto (which is really pretty good), along with some kind of sandwich or bar pie. The bar pies are good, but not great and the Jersey shore burger is worth trying - after all, it has pork roll as an ingredient - always a good start. I find the portions to be adequate and the prices to be a little high. Even so, it is a great place to hang out for awhile and watch the game, or games on any one of the many flat screen TVs on hand. Unfortunately I have to tell you to avoid JoJo's outdoor dining this COVID-19 summer. We went recently while in NJ visiting family and were shocked that: 1) The tent held 7 or 8 large tables that were crammed together... JUST INCHES apart! 2) There was obviously NO MASK REQUIREMENT! Most patrons came in without masks and didn't wear one while waiting for their food to come to the table 3) The owner was outside chatting with patrons and he didn't have a mask on 4) One patron walked right up to our table and then yelled across the space to one of the servers... really??!!? People are inconsiderate but, ultimately, I blame the establishment for not following the appropriate protocols. read more

Used to live in Hamilton almost 20 years ago and go to Jojo's fairly often. My new girlfriend lives close by to Jojo's so I brought her to a Saturday night dinner. Nothing has changed in 20 years with the exception of more TVs on the walls and I was so happy to return. The servers were so kind and nice on our visit. The pizza here is just AWESOME. The crust is a little thicker than the super thin Trenton Tomato Pie but still quite thin. The sauce has a slightly sweet taste and is non acidic. We got mushroom as a topping and the small size pizza is 14" and plenty for 2 people. We shared the grilled shrimp caesar salad which was huge and delicious. The shrimp were fresh and grilled perfectly. The dressing was excellent. My girlfriend said it was the best salad she ever had. Jojo's has a great array of beer on tap and makes great cocktails. I ordered the white cosmopolitan for my girlfriend which is made with white cranberry juice and it was excellent. Looks like we'll be coming back often which is a good thing! read more

YES! YES! YES! Jo-Jo's Tavern is the place to be. I was in the area for the week and heard interesting things about Jo-Jo's and the playful ribbing of customers. When I was there, I didn't see any ribbing and the staff was fantastic! They made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I had the daily special of Maryland Clam Chowder, which came with bread. It was amazing. I also had the Clams Casino Bar Pie. The clams were difficult to detect but they actually have real bacon on the pizza and they were sizable pieces. The food tasted great and the portions were priced appropriately. If you want somewhere that treats you like you're family and you belong, go to Jo-Jo's. JoJo is a small tavern with a large audience and for good reasons. Arrived around 530pm and pulled into the packed parking lot, so packed, they have a parking attendant and word on the street is that a tow company hooks up any cars parked in the adjacent businesses. JoJo wait was around 45min on Friday, no biggie and had the opportunity to scope it out and chat with the locals to gain insider intel. The bar was packed two deep. While waiting in line I had the opportunity to see all the dishes past me by...Bread baskets, pizzas, sandwiches, huge antipasto and entrees. Ordered: Comp dinner salad ***** above average size fresh greens with fresh sliced tomatoes and many yellow hot peppers. Choice of dressing, went with house Comp Bread ***** hot, light and airy with a great crispy crust, plenty of butter Med Cheese ***** nice size, lotta cheese and thin crust. No saggy oily slices here Stuffed eggplant with broccoli, spinach and ricotta cheese. ***** OMG, so huge and mouthwatering, came with 1lb of penne , eggplant stayed crispy which was an amazing feat! Great craft beer selection, tap and bottle and good wine selection. Comp cookie at the end was a real treat with fresh cream... Hostess and wait staff were fabulous. The bar staff is actually pretty good, but the "locals" as noted in other reviews are extremely obnoxious and highly intrusive. Friday nights are wall to wall packed and the venue is in desperate need of an expansion or upgrade. Friday also has the extra annoyance of someone being "parking lot attendant" which is usually a really rude guy who acts like every car that shows up is a nuisance to him.
