Love this place - I've been coming here since high school (2012) and although they've changed ownership, the quality was not sacrificed. I love their rice triangles and always get them for lunch. It's usually better if you eat it the same day and not refrigerate it. But if needed, let it thaw to room temperature before consuming so the rice is softer! The store owner is always nice enough to custom make some rice triangles for me even though there are none available at the fridge. Those are usually THE BEST since the rice is still lukewarm!! read more

I have been to this place a few times to study. It is very quite and when you get hungry they have great food as well. I have tried the chicken teriyaki plate and cheeseburger. They also have great smoothies and some nice strong coffee. Their prices are very reasonable. The place has almost anything you need! The women at the front who makes the food and drinks is very nice. She is very welcoming and makes everything taste great. read more

The iced coffee here is pretty bad. I like my coffee black and cold (like my heart) and the taste was terrible. It felt like I was drinking an ashtray. To top it off, the bottom of the cup was full of coffee grids, which I guess was never filtered out. My wife had the tea and she said it was fine, so maybe stick to tea here. Came in on a Sunday morning. The bakery case was sparsely filled with what I later realized were leftovers from previous days. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant. The latte didn't have any coffee flavor, just a strong syrupy vanilla flavor. I thought that was weird because there were plenty of coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup. The beverage was filled about 80% of the way and the lady behind the counter gave it to me with a boba straw. Gulp! The chocolate croissant was big but after taking the first bite of the stale brick, the size was more curse than blessing. In the end Jokers Koffee was laughable. read more

Nice study spot located next to Arcadia high school in the honeyboba plaza. It's a coffee shop with convenience store items, selling studying foods like chips, small cakes, drinks, and pastries. Great study spot on the weekends, but wouldn't recommend it after school on weekdays Came here on a weekend and a weekday. Really liked the large area and there's multiple outlets available throughout the shop. I especially liked it during the weekend, since it was completely empty and I was able to get a lot of studying done. I wouldn't recommend coming here during a weekday between 3-5. I don't know if high school kids are becoming more loud and obnoxious, but it's such a pain after school. Expect kids coming in and out, talking extremely loudly about nonsense, and a bunch of fobs singing. Yeah... typical Arcadia high school stuff nowadays. read more

This store does not provide receipt and charge you 20% tip automatically. I was here to get a drink. The lady was not outside till I was about to leave, she greeted. I saw the tip selection and it disappeared before I click, and I signed and asked, "I haven't chose tip", which I thought I did not pay tip. She said she clicked 20%. I like Vietnamese coffee and smoothies here; it is not overbearing and made right. Also, the croissants are really good on those cheat days. I love how there is open seating to study or catch up on work. The lady that works there is friendly and caring. I checked in here with my boyfriend in the morning and he bought me a sandwich and a matcha frappe. Both were pretty good; the matcha frappe was light and refreshing while the sandwich was filling and savory. This place has improved significantly in the past couple of years, because I remember it being pretty rundown looking for a while. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and they offer a wide variety of snacks and meals. I'll definitely come back sometime whenever I'm in the area. read more

I was looking through the reviews earlier and I think i should preface by saying that if you're complaining about the environment and make an effort to highlight the fact that the asian owners/staff can speak decent english, then you are probably not a local 626er. Granted, you're not going to get fantastic coffee that is on the same level of hipster coffee shops. But if you're looking for good coffee in the 626, then you're in the wrong area. The best coffee in LA will most likely be in DTLA. Anyways, I digress. Here are the strengths: 1. Busy hours for this store is during the week days (they cater to AHS students) 2. Wifi seems to be very strong (ATT) 3. They have a lot of asian snacks and american snacks (most likely got it from Costco) 4. Great for studying, applying for jobs, and making small talk Here are the weaknesses: 1. Coffee is average (I got a iced mocha latte, feels a little creamy but it could just be the mocha flavor) 2. their assortment of baked goods is minimum so I recommend eating your meal first before coming to this coffee shop. OH, and if you use credit, it is a $5 minimum. If you are below that, they will charge you 25 cents. read more

3 stars to be generous that its a new establishment and they have ample seating with windows all around. Atmosphere: Asian man speaks English, Asian woman barely. Random Asian chips and candies, along with Costco granola bars. Abundance of soft drinks and juices in cans. A lot of empty seats for studying/chatting. Ordered $3 decaf soy latte. Decaf was Costco ground coffee, not expresso. Soy was whole milk. Yup, whole milk. **A WARNING to LACTOSE intolerant ** I watched the man make my "latte" -- he poured whole milk into my cup. I politely asked him if it was soy. He responds "no more soy, whole milk". He failed to notify me there was no soy as I was ordering and proceeded to just make my drink assuming whole milk would be fine. I had to repeatedly ask him "you have no soy?" in confusion to why he even took my order if there was no soy. When I tried to explain to him that I cannot have whole milk, he brushed me off by turning his back and saying "yeah yeah". Asian communication, I get it. With my persistence, he did replace my latte with coconut milk. Otherwise, I'd be too sick to write this review. Good luck ordering your coffee. read more

This place is gem. I feel the other review on here is from a competitor from next door (ahem). I mean who complains about having windows all around. I talk to the English speaking man, he's just trying to make a living. If you don't like your drink he'll fix it, free of charge. The place is clean and lid up. Plenty of table to study and a lot of Asian snacks. They have some fresh mile tea made with the real stuff. No powder. There are places to charge your laptop and phone. We wanted to grab drinks and food so we can have a little picnic at the park. This place was nearby so we decided to give it a try. The inside is nicely decorated. There was a long table that would be good for groups. The service was just okay, nothing special. We ordered a black iced coffee and toffee latte. Both drinks were not good. The flavors were off and tasted weird. We couldn't even finish it and just threw it away. We also got a teriyaki bowl and beef bowl. Both were just average. It was mainly rice. The side salad that came with it was just lettuce with ranch on top of it. We spent around $30 for 4 items and it was not worth it. read more

The fries here are plain, even though they sprinkled spices on top. When you bite into it, it's dry, bland and you can't even taste the potato. The "seasoning" is like powder and hurts your throat. Obviously by this time you know it's low quality frozen fries. Besides the quality of the fries, it took about 8 min for us to receive the order. Which got me thinking, they ran out of frozen fries and had to put in a order immediately. Everything here is also overpriced considering most of the items they sell are outdated, some even molded (from other reviews). The staff have bad attitudes and aren't professional (they were on their cellphone while taking my order. AGAIN, everything is OVERPRICED. For coffee lovers, this is not the place for you. The coffee shop offers a variety of drink options, but they do not live up to their name. It seems as though the drink menu is comprised of quick mix drinks. The menu also offers food items which include sandwich's and a few pastries. There is nothing special to the pastries, it seems as though you could buy the same ones at Costco. The only redeeming factor of the establishment is that there is a wide variety of Asian snacks and drinks. The coffee shop is next to Arcadia high school so it's a good place for teens to go to, not coffee lovers in search of a good cup of joe. Bad. Just bad. I was the only customer there and the only person working never acknowledged me until I said,"GOOD MORNING!" She did not even greet me. I had to be the first person to speak up. Horrible customer service. I was hungry and wanted a simple breakfast so I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It was overpriced--over $2. I waited for almost 20 minutes for one freaking bagel. Finally, she handed me the bagel and it wasn't anything special. But I mean, that was pretty much expected already. Mediocre service for mediocre food. Then I asked for a cup of water..."we don't give out water, sorry. We are not a restaurant." What?????? I've never heard of a coffee joint that DOESN'T offer water? Starbucks isn't a restaurant. First time to try this place. When I first went inside, I examined the place and it was very very modern. It's so clean and it has a calm vibe feeling. The male employee was really nice. I ordered Thai tea with jelly. Normally I get it with boba from honey boba. He finished my order quick. The drink tasted better than I expected! I think this is my new go to spot. The place really stands by its name. Joker's Koffee coz the food is a joke! My friend and I came here to get some snacks coz we didn't know that Honey Boba doesn't serve food anymore. We got the cheeseburger and truffle fries. It took 20 mins for the burger to be served and given that much time, you'd think that the burger would be good at least. The bun was cold, there was a thin piece pf meat in between the bun that didn't really taste good. After 10 more minutes the truffle fries came out. Lacking in taste looked like it needed more time in the oven. The only saving grace of this place would be the drinks. Suffice to say, I wouldn't be coming back anytime soon read more

What I enjoy about this place is that it is a great atmosphere to study at for those who gets hungry every hour. And I have the metabolism of Quicksilver. While their next door competition is more of a hangout place, this is place is so much more conducive to studying. As someone who falls asleep really quickly in the library (and at school, at home, etc), I was actually awake the whole few hours I was there! That's what call a personal feat! They have all my favorite snacks there, they serve sandwiches -- their beef sandwich is something you should definitely try. It was simply made but it was well crafted and delicious. I read some of the earlier reviews, it seems like what's great about them is that they learn and improve. One review complained that they did not give out water, I came in today asking for water and they gave it. The place is also clean, and those who work there are kind when I was there. From a marketing/design perspective, I'm just like, "I'm not so sure about the name of the place." They call it Joker's Koffee, but I don't feel this place very "Joker-like". I feel like in the brainstorming stage of forming this place, more ideas got mixed in than it should have. In my opinion, the theme of the place should match the name or vice versa. Also, people are taught to not judge a book by its cover...but it's so human nature to. I've avoided joining the place solely because of the name itself. I'm glad I came though. But I can tell in terms of content, they definitely have the high schoolers and the surrounding academic centers in mind when creating this place. They know their target audience well enough, but I just wish their target audience would know and be part of what they're doing. While the place isn't perfect (what place is perfect?) I'm giving them a review of five stars simply because they deserve a higher rating. read more
