This place is a piece of work. There can be a language barrier at times and there are also issues with hygiene issues as it relates to food service. I went there and a worker left the food area and went out to the tables. When she returned to the food area, she never washed her hands and then proceeded to prepare meals for people. That's nasty!!! She didn't see anything wrong with touching tables and then touching people's food. She got upset when I asked her to wash her hands before she prepared my food. I went and ordered a meal there today and confirmed at the window what I ordered. Unfortunately, the order was incorrect which doesn't surprise me. I asked for the 2 piece Chickenjoy and I asked for it three times because they couldn't hear despite me yelling it the third time. When I asked if I should drive up they could miraculously hear me. I gave my order and paid. I confirmed that I wanted a peach mango pie, but after driving 25 minutes to get to my place, I discovered a nasty Ube pie. You may like their Une pie, but I don't. I literally spit it out and tossed it in the trash. I was so lucky to get a $1.06 credit for their incompetence. The manager on duty then proceeded to tell me I ate it when I hadn't. She is obviously needs to clean her ears or learn to listen. It's bad enough they practically throw the food into the car when you try to put your credit card or cash away. But obviously, the food needs to be checked thoroughly before pulling out the driveway so you aren't charged for something you didn't want. read more

Whether I'm in California, New York, or in this case, at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, I rarely say no to Jollibee. Having come to this location several times over the last decade or so, I think this food court version is a decent pick overall. I think the majority of the fried chicken is consistent with most Jollibee locations. Crunchy skin, juicy meat, and abundant with every piece. I personally believe where they really excel is in their noodle dishes, especially the palabok fiesta and on occasion, the Filipino spaghetti, is particularly tasty. When they have adobe rice available, it's straight fire. Where they could see some improvement is the burgers. More often than not I've experienced a dry patty and a pretty bland assembly of limpy lettuce and bun. I also think their halo halo could use some work for how pricey it is, but it comes through for whenever the weather is on the hot side. Where I demote the stars is for the service. No place is perfect and I'm not expect maitre'd type treatment at a fast food mall joint, but I've felt the snappiness from the staff far too often. Well this is pretty much the best fried chicken I've ever tasted. Hands down in my opinion, yours might differ but this is my review. They always get my order correct. I can't believe I've never been to Jollibee! My son's girlfriend is visiting from Oklahoma, so of course we had to take her to check it out. We decided to order what they're famous for, the chicken. We ordered a 3 pc meal and 3 chicken tenders. The meals came with fries and we also tried a pineapple drink and peach mango pie. The chicken lived up to its hype; crispy, juicy and finger lickin' good. My son's girlfriend has come back here several times to get her chicken fix. We were disappointed with the pineapple drink, it tasted like watered down canned pineapple juice and I sadly wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Peach mango pie was delicious and reminded me of the McDonald's fried pies. All in all, I'd recommend Jollibee to anyone who likes chicken. The only item we didn't get to try was the burger. 3 Pc Burger Steak $9.99 - This burger steak reminds me of school lunches back in High School. I actually really enjoyed this. Palabok Fiesta $6.99 - I've never had Palabok before, so I have nothing to compare this to. However, I thought these noodles were really yummy. I definitely recommend giving this dish a try if you never had it before. Jolly Spaghetti $5.99 - The spaghetti was alright. The red sauce is slightly on the sweeter side and came topped with cheese and some cut hot dogs. I wish it came with side garlic bread. 6 Pc Bucket $12.99 - What makes this chicken stand out compared to other fast food chicken places, is the gravy. Dipping your friend chicken in gravy is a huge game changer! Halo-Halo $5.49 - This is a very popular Filipino dessert. If I could give them zero stars I would. I was so excited and I wanted the spicy chicken and they did not have it. So we ordered two meals that comes with four pieces of chicken two sides two drinks and two pies. They rang me up the same price for the meals and I didn't get my pies so I went back and they try to charge me for two pies that they didn't give me in the first place. Not only did they not give me my pies but my chicken was cold and my fries were cold and hard and they gave me the wrong drink. The service is horrible. I want something substantial like FFFFFRRIED chicken even though we're going to a potluck dinner later tonight. My husband's "wish" was granted as we headed to Jollibee at the Makai Market Food Court. There was a crowded queue of hangry-looking people all waiting to get their hands, er, tastebuds onto the crispy-skinned juicy fried chicken made famous by this Philippines-based fast food chain. We stood in line while checking out the menu options and by the time it was our turn, we placed our order for their 6-piece bucket of Chickenjoy. The cashier was friendly and repeated our order then asked if we wanted the Original or Spicy. We hadn't tried their spicy fried chicken before so we chose SPICY. The cashier then gave us a pager and an order number. We stood nearby and excitedly waited for our food. Within a few minutes, which seemed like an eternity to our growling stomachs, our order was ready and we walked over to the cool air-conditioned dining room of the Makai Market Food Court. We found seating right away, pulled out our bread rolls from BRUG that we had previously bought and broke into that bucket of Chickenjoy. Removing the cover of that bucket released the "langlap sarap" aka aromatic deliciousness. In this case, our Chickenjoy was intoxicatingly fatty, slightly greasy and spicy smelling. As I brought the chicken piece to my mouth, I could see the steam escaping from the crispy chicken. As my bite shattered the crispy-skin, my palate was hit with hot paprika or cayenne spiciness and SALT! I spat out what I had just bitten into and quickly sloshed down my cold beverage. My husband who is more of a deep-fried food eater than me, had the same reaction. We both agreed this spicy and salty fried chicken wasn't what we expected as we've eaten Jollibee's ORIGINAL recipe fried chicken. It seemed that the seasoning was just there to make the chicken peppery, salty and sweet and did little to enhance the flavor of the chicken. Even the brown gravy that came along with this bucket of Chickenjoy, couldn't help the overly salted yet oddly sweet seasoning. We both removed the crispy salty chicken skin (yeah, it's unheard of for my husband to remove and pitch away chicken skin) and ate what we could before throwing away the last 2 drumsticks. We are big fans of Jollibee! We first tried this chain in Toronto and were hooked on their fried chicken (w/ gravy), spaghetti, and pineapple juice. This location is in the Makai food court in Ala Moana Center. Depending on the time you visit, there can be a very long line or none at all. The cashier was super sweet and quick. Everything was wrapped up neatly. Their fried chicken is well seasoned, not overly greasy or overly salty. Their spaghetti is slightly sweet and tastes different from most spaghetti's we've tried but is lovely. Our little one loves their spaghetti. It has small pieces of hot dogs in it. Their pineapple juice is also incredibly refreshing. Easily one of my favorite drinks. read more

It's Filipino fast food, merging offerings from McDonald's, KFC, Sbarro, among others. Choose from fried chicken, burgers and spaghetti. There are even combos that mix those things, which I'll admit is a bit strange. On this visit, I had the chicken sandwich. Not fantastic. The meal came with their peach mango pie (in the style of McD's apple pie). It was also meh. They also have pancit and halo halo among their offerings. I'm not a big fan of fast food in general. With this meal you could choose between rice or French fries. My student said to try the adobo rice so I got that. You have to pay a little extra for it. The chicken was okay. It wasn't anything special. Just tasted like regular fried chicken to me. The adobo rice was different. It was pretty tasty in the beginning but then it started to get spicy so I stopped eating it. The spicy chicken sandwich comes with fresh jalapeño slices and that puts it over the top for me. I'm still thinking about the sandwich now. It's so flavorful and juicy. I think I may have travelled to Hawaii just to eat Jollibee and it was completely worth it. I also got the ube pie here because it's been sold out in California for quite some time. First time I've tried Jollibee. I wanted fried chicken, and my husband goes for spaghetti everytime he can get it since I dont eat marinara, therefore I don't cook it in our house... Last week I was at the mall to support and celebrate my close friend's birthday. I already hate being at this mall, but I thought I could treat myself for going out of my comfort zone with Jollibees. Stood behind 7 people for more than 20 minutes. I assumed maybe it was busy- maybe they had to cook new food. I get to the front of the line and there is one employee on register and one register completely open. And there are more than 4 people behind the counter joking around and doing nothing. Thats annoying- but I can overlook that. Im seeing the line behind me grow and people leave from waiting so long (as people infront of me had done earlier). I waited 5 minutes for the guy on register to check out this mother and daughter's small order. Durring this time- another employee, a teenage boy I believe, goes to the second register, looks like he is about to ring my order- makes eye contact with me- and then turns to this middle aged woman, im assuming a manager and starts laughing. He then walks away from the register laughing and talks story with the woman. I had to wait about 3 more minutes for the other guy on the register to ring me up. After all that it took them less than 2 minutes to give me my meal. Why the hell was I waiting in line for 20 minutes if they have 4 people standing around on the clock and it takes them less than 2 minutes to make the damn meal. I watched at least 8 groups of people leave the line and eat elsewhere. The only reason I didn't leave is because Jollibee's chicken is great and I needed that. Food was good this day by the way so it wasn't all bad, but Im definitely not eating there next time. So many other food locations to choose from in the mall. read more

This location is always busy of course because it's at alas and in the food court but because the food is so delicious. All the workers here are always on it! They work super fast and they're super nice. They have manners when taking your order and they pack your order so neat and organized. Most of the time people don't care how they pack stuff and literally just throw everything in the bag. But not here. They're workers are really good workers. Keep up the good job!
