The place always looks busy on the weekends...it took around 15 minutes for us to be seated. But after that, everything was just smooth sailing all the way. The staff were responsive and was always around to take our orders, refill drinks or simply answer questions you may have. Tables were promptly cleared and made available for the next set of guests. The food was great! The staff were always checking on you for your next order. And after you place your order, it also didn't take long for your order to arrive. The grill plates were always changed like in every 15 minutes or so. You always have a clean grill to cook on. The place was nice and really well lit. The place looked like industrial decoration, but mainly for the air extraction vents on every table. And these extraction vents were working very well. We left the place and we didn't smell of cooking fumes on our clothes! You should come out and try this place when you're in the area!

Gangnam Ave has been my absolute favorite KBBQ spot for years, and after trying several places around Sacramento, this one still tops them all. Honestly, it's so good that I haven't even felt the need to keep searching for another go-to. I've visited with small groups of 3-4 people and also larger groups of 6-10, and the experience has remained consistently great overall. One thing I like about Gangnam Ave is how their pricing works. Instead of the typical lunch vs. dinner menu, they offer Option A or Option B, where some premium meats are excluded from the cheaper option. It's basically the same concept as lunch/dinner pricing, but I appreciate that it isn't tied to the time of day. For reference, they open at 4pm on weekdays and 12pm on weekends, which feels pretty reasonable to me since KBBQ is usually more of a late lunch or dinner type of meal anyway. The variety of meats is one of the main reasons I love coming here. When I do AYCE, I'm going all in -- usually 4-5 rounds -- so I'm not trying to stick with just basic bulgogi. Gangnam Ave offers things you don't always see at other spots like small and large intestines, pork jowl, beef tongue, and spicy baby octopus, and the marinades here for some of the meats are flavorful. I've eaten at other KBBQ spots over the years for different reasons (my sister even worked at Oz for several years), but Gangnam Ave will always have a special place in my stomach. The appetizers are also solid. Their corn cheese is easily my favorite -- instead of a flat dish with watery corn and melted cheese tossed on top, they give you individual foil cups so you can throw it on the grill and melt it perfectly yourself. I'm lactose intolerant and still order it every single time. The steamed egg is always fluffy and never overcooked, and it pairs perfectly with the meats. I also usually order their soondubu; I'm not overly picky about tofu soup, but as long as it isn't watered down, I'm happy -- and theirs always hits the spot. Their drink menu is small but fun, especially if you like soju. They have some mixed soju drinks, and there's a strawberry + Sprite one with a strawberry-infused ice cube called Super Shy that has become my go-to whenever I visit. Sweet, bubbly, and dangerously easy to drink. Now for the meat itself: it comes out raw, of course, so the final result depends on how well your group can grill. If you've got someone in your group who knows what they're doing, you really can't go wrong. Portions are reasonable for the group size, orders usually come out pretty quickly, and they change the grills every round or two. Most tables have one grill for every four people, so larger groups will typically get two grills. Like most KBBQ places, the experience can depend on your server. I've had many different ones over the years -- most are great, a few are just okay -- which probably explains the mixed reviews you'll sometimes see. Personally, it's never been enough to ruin my experience. A quick tip: reservations are highly recommended for groups of four or more, and they'll usually ask ahead of time if there are kids in your party. If I had to nitpick anything, the dipping sauces are pretty simple and not particularly memorable, but nothing is perfect. The restaurant itself is small and dimly lit, but I think that's part of the charm. It feels cozy and homey -- the kind of place where you can sit around the grill with friends and family and just enjoy the moment. I've made a lot of great memories here over the years. Before moving out of state, I used to come here almost every other month with different groups of friends or family. I've included photos from several past visits with this review because they really show how often I've come here over the years. If anything, they're proof of how loyal of a returning customer I've been. ;) no bonuses or perks besides good food lol. After you're done pigging out, you can grab Melona bars or taiyaki ice cream fish sandwiches from the freezer near the front for cheap. Or if you want to extend the night, there's a Baskin-Robbins right next door for dessert. Parking is also pretty easy, and even though the lot gets a little dark at night, the bright lights from Gangnam Ave make it easy to spot. Maybe I'm a little biased because of all the good memories tied to this place, but there's a reason I've been returning for many years -- even before COVID. If you love AYCE KBBQ and want variety, good marinades, and a cozy vibe, Gangnam Ave is absolutely worth checking out.

The first time I came here, it was the very first time I had tried KBBQ. Now that I've had it quite a few times I thought I'd come back and give this place another try. Overall, it was pretty good. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I like the space. It has a nice set up. They even left the ceiling open, so you can see the ductwork. There's actually a term for that, it's known as " industrial chic." They have screens playing K-pop on the wall. I'm seated at my table, and my Bachchan are already there. I didn't eat much of the salad, because that's just a filler, and I didn't care for any of the spicy Bachchan. Next time, before I'm seated, I will ask them to leave those items off. I decided to go for the "a" menu. It's the more pricey menu, but it has more items. For my appetizer I had the steamed egg and the cheese corn. for my proteins, I had the brisket point, the prime steak, beef tongue, small intestine, marinated boneless short rib, and the baby octopus. It sounds like a lot of food, and it was, but I specifically asked for smaller portions. They were very good at swapping out my grill as it got "gunked up." Overall, everything was good. I really liked the cheese corn and the steamed egg. Last time I was here the steamed egg was burnt on the bottom, this time, it was perfect. Most of the meats were excellent! I loved that boneless marinated short rib so much, I had a second portion. While the brisket point was flavorful it was still frozen to the point that it was sticking to the plate that they brought it on. As such, while the flavor was good, it was a little bit tough The two things I didn't care for, were the baby octopus and,The small intestine. The baby octopus, even though it was marinated, it didn't have much of a flavor. It was just chewy. I love, adult octopus, especially the tentacles, but I will stay away from the baby octopus. The other thing I didn't care for was the small intestine. I love Menudo, and I love a good "tripas taco", but just by itself, the intestine was too strong. It needs some sort of broth, sauce, salsa, basically, it needs "backup dancers." There was nothing for dessert on the menu, so when I asked my server, she said that they had Korean ice cream, but there's an extra charge for it. Really? I've never been charged for dessert at any other KBBQ. I just left it off. Food, soda, tax and tip, and I was out the door just south of $55. Would I come back? Yes. I live down the street, and this place is close. However, while I'm glad I tried the "A" menu, next time I would stick with the "B menu. There are enough items on that menu, and the price is similar to what other KBBQ places charge on Sundays. This was much improved from my last visit. Thank you.

We went here for my daughter's graduation dinner and had a party of 10. We made reservations at 7:30 but got done with pictures faster than expected. We called to ask if we could come earlier and they said they had lots of reservations which we absolutely understood. However they called back a few minutes later to let us know they could accommodate us! We were so grateful and the service continued to be wonderful throughout our dinner. The price was good for soooo much food and they were quick with bringing out items we requested. Everything was super fresh! Will definitely be back!

First time trying this spot. I would recommend this place. Their side dishes are on point, but you do have to ask them to refill if you run out, they don't automatically refill it. The meat was super tasty and marinated well. The atmosphere is very family oriented or a great place for a first date.

We were able to snag a table before it got too busy and was given a different variety of banchan (all super tasty). My table decided to go with course A and got to try everything on the menu. The meat quality was good, along with the appetizers. I was very impressed with the seafood tofu stew, one of my favorite warm dish I've had in a long time. Our server checked on our table regularly along with picking up our plates. I would see myself coming back and recommend checking out Gangnam Ave!

One of my favorite kbbqs in Sacramento. It's all you can eat Korean bbq, need I say more? Jk. There is a little bit for everyone here! They have marinated and unmarinated options here. They have a lot of appetizer options. If you get course A you can get the cold noodles which is my favorite. Lettuce is extra here but they give you a decent amount! Service is quick and they checked on us often and made sure we could put in orders before we were done with what was in front of us! Great atmosphere for a good time!

Ban chans- kelp salad I really liked- Jap chae had a nice seasoning- Appetizers-popcorn chicken - diced fried bite size- decent if you dipped in sauce- Pot stickers were nice and crispy- Cajun fries - good and hot- Ramen was really good! Was looking to try some new KBB places and realized we have not tried this place out yet. It is out of the way but we arrived at opening and we waited a few minutes to be seated. This was because they prepare your table with the side dishes and drinks before you sit down. You check in at a kiosk with your name and the size of your party. They had a choice of 2 menu options for the AYCE, we chose the option for the full menu for $40.95. We probably would have been okay with the cheaper option for $32.99. Drinks and the dessert option of popsicles were not included with the AYCE which is standard but they had regular can sodas and not refill fountain drinks. With the AYCE, you get 3 appetizers and 3 proteins at a time. For our first round we ordered the popcorn chicken, dumplings and corn cheese. For some reason the veggies are also listed there. As for the proteins we got the brisket, LA Galbi and the boneless fresh short rib. My husband and my dad both ordeeed the ramen and they liked it. They also have 3 stew options which I don't see often. Overall, this was a nice experience. There is no gimmicky robots or conveyer belts delivering your food but we had great service from our server as well as the whole staff it seemed. It also wasn't too loud but there was music playing. I also was a fan of the lighting, in alot of places it's so dark you can barely read the menus but here there was a dedicated light pointing down at the grill. Honestly, sometimes it's the smallest things. If it was a little closer to my house I'd include it in the KBB rotation. It's definitely worth a shot!

Decided to give it a try again but got turned away at 9:05pm on June 3rd 2026 when they closed at 10pm. Only kbbq place I've been that turns away ppl 1 hour before posted closing time. Unbelievable!

Multiple times coming here but still good as ever and best korean bbq in town so far. Love the place, all the varieties of AYCE meat options and appetizers. Always hot and fresh from the soup, egg, ramen and even the rice. There is only one comment i can say is the server. This old lady like that always becoming our server every time we are here. She is not smiling, checking on us, always late on giving our orders, she is not even looking at us, i dont really like her. Hoping to get other servers when coming back here because i really love this place and the food,

Truly, the best genuine Korean bbq in town. We were so amazed by the quality and flavor of everything. Yes you can find other places with more options, but they don't taste nearly half as good as Gangnam does. Richard was also our server and made sure to make the visit special for my partner as it was his birthday. This is definitely going to be a go to spot going forward, especially since the overall vibe was so much calmer than a lot of other places.

Service was great! I got seated fairly quickly when it was a small party. Everyone checked up on you and gave great suggestions when suggesting what meats to try next. Would definitely return and perhaps try their second location. Anna was my servicer and she was super efficient and mindful.

And while the wings are also excellent (I didn't try any of the other offerings), it is the smashburger that I highly recommend, and for which I am adding my 5-star rating. Finding TTB was a bit of an adventure. There is no visible signage from the parking lot. You enter from the parking lot under a sign that reads "SF Super Market". Then you walk toward the supermarket ahead, but turn left to go under the sign that says Saigon Street Food Court. And then you need to locate the TTB counter inside. And for this smashburger fan, the journey was definitely worth it. The smashburger patties are large, with the requisite crispy edges, yet juicy and beefy in the middle. And even with all that goodness inside the bun, the bun itself remains perfectly intact. It is a giant, yet easily navigable sandwich, and it is delicious. Just the right amount of melted cheese and condiments, everything fresh-tasting. We also tried the onion rings (perfectly crispy) and the wings (with a crunchy coating over juicy, tasty chicken). The fries were a bit thicker than I like, as I am a shoestring-fries fan. But they had a bit of crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. The chef/owner, Young, took our order, went back inside the kitchen, and then brought everything out to our table. He is a terrific guy, and so pleasant to interact with. With eight or so restaurants in the food court, there are plenty of tables and chairs for eating inside. The whole burger experience was comfortable, and I definitely look forward to returning. All of Young's offerings are fairly priced, and as should be obvious, I highly recommend TTB for an outstanding smashburger experience.

It was presented as partially mashed potatoes with chunks in it and the cheesy flavor was almost like the flavor from a packet of mac and cheese sauce. The sandwich was a flavorless tasting shredded barbecue. We asked for barbecue sauce to put on the sandwich and it tasted like somebody put vinegar and sugar in that sauce. I ordered the chopped BBQ sourdough bread sandwich and there's no way that was sourdough that I was eating but instead tasted like bread that was toasted. That was probably the best thing I ate was just the bread because the meat was as I described before no flavor and very disappointing. I also ordered fries and thought at least I can eat these but I was wrong. Even their frozen fries were lacking in flavor. We also both ordered iced tea and asked for yes, artificial sweetener and we were informed that they don't carry any. Just regular sugar. That was a first for me! Never ever been to any restaurant or eating establishment that didn't carry a variety of sugar for people who drink iced tea. It's unfortunate that everything my husband and I ordered was really bad. It almost was comical except that we paid $80 for that inedible food. The Service: Our server, Ana was awesome!! She was the only one taking care of everybody and she did it flawlessly. When we asked for extra sauce, she delivered it quickly. She was good about checking on all the customers even though there were only 4 of us in total. A family of 5 left 10 minutes after we arrived and 2 people sat at the bar 15 minutes after we ordered. She had a great attitude and smiled a lot. She said she was new to the job but her actions made it look as though she were a veteran. OVERALL: The service was great and the establishment itself is a great neighborhood sports bar hang out but the food was really really bad. It wouldn't have been a terrible thing if just one or maybe two items we ordered weren't that great but the fact that every single thing including the tea was bad, is the reason that we will not visit this place again. By the way, it took me a couple of weeks to write this, because I aim to see the good in everything. I do not like to receive negativity or give it. It was difficult to be that honest especially when other people in the reviews really liked the food. Good for them! I do hope that this place will have enough customers to stay open for a long time. I wish them the best of luck.
