Jollibee is just that, Joy! First off their Pineapple Juice Drink is so delicious and refreshing! I wish they had a bigger size cup. The Classic Chicken Sandwich was fresh and complimented with the perfect amount of mayonnaise spread. I am going to say it, beat fast food chicken sandwich hands down! Not ones flaw. What is this and why did it take 30 min to get it ? I only came here because it was heavily hyped on FB during its arrival to San Antonio and I couldn't wait to get it , it took months before I had the chance and wow was I disappointed. So delicious without all the sodium of Chic-Fila. I had the fried chicken deluxe and it was super yummy! It is one of the best chicken burgers I have ever had without all grease. This was our first time visiting Jollibee in general so we weren't sure what to expect! We were going to order the chicken sandwiches but they were out of sandwich filets so we ordered the tenders and the cheeseburger. We also got some of the legs to try since everyone else was getting bone-in chicken. Everything was okay- the legs were SO GOOD so we will definitely order those next time! As someone whose mom is from the Philippines, finding good cooked Filipino food is hard. Very surprised to that Jollibee's take on pancit is so good given that it's fast food. If traditional Filipino food, isn't your style their fried chicken is soooo good!! Last night after playing Pickle Ball at Takas Park in Windcrest, our group in 3 vehicles decided to have a quick dinner at Jollibee, we got there at about 9:24pm the door was closed but the time of operation on the door says it is open up to 10pm. So we finally got to talk to a manager, he says the drive thru only is up to 10pm not the dining area. Who does that? No restaurant in San Antonio ever does that, at least in my experience, if you advertise hours operation it should be open for customers during that hours of operation. Considering we have to drive quite a ways across town to support this local business, unfortunately I have no desire to give them my business ever. read more

I've been wanting to try their chicken and I was not disappointed. I had the deluxe chicken regular chicken sandwich. It was hot and crispy crust with tender juicy chicken. I am so sad that I had such a disappointing experience because I honestly wanted this to go well. I had been watching them build and then eventually open so I was excited to give this a try. I went on an evening where there 4 or 5 cars in the drive-thru so I thought I was safe as far as the wait goes.... so very wrong. I pulled up a menu online to try to figure out what I would want to order since this was my first time. Once I got up to the actual menu, I realized there were some differences. I had to adjust a bit but ended up with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, spaghetti and mango pies. After ordering, I paid and then was directed to park out front. I was waiting for over 40 minutes for our food. Had I realized this was going to happen, I would have never stopped. It was late, we were hungry and needed to get home. There was also no rhyme or reason to who was getting food and who wasn't because there were several cars that arrived after me that came and went. What's even more disappointing after all that is that we were not fans of the food. Maybe this has to be one of those places that you need to be raised with because I did not see anything redeeming about the entrees. KFC, Churches, Bushes, Bill Miller, Chick-fil-a all do a much better job if what you are looking for is fried chicken and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were bland, chicken was just ok and the spaghetti is sweet, ugh. I have no clue why this place is such a hit. In the south, fried chicken is a staple and comes with high expectations, if you have any idea about how fried chicken should taste, this will be a disappointment. I don't expect fast food to ever be great but this was gross. My whole family has begged to never go back. The ONLY thing that was any good were the mango pies. Jollibee provides a different twist to some familiar food favorites. They also introduce Filipino flavors by offering accessible dishes that aren't on the "wild" side. Of course, you have to get the fried chicken as well as the spaghetti. Most everything else on the menu is a win for me. Also, the staff taking the orders and prepping the food are great. The reason for this low rating, though, is due to the inconsistent quality of their food and the lack of customer service from their management. I have had Jollibee multiple times since they opened and it always seems that there one food item that is messed up. On my most recent trip, there were several issues with my food that prompted me to call the store. Food was missing from my order. The burgers were over cooked. The adobo rice, normally one of my favorites, was mushy. So in my attempt to get things corrected, I called the store. No one answered so I left a message. In fact, I've left messages 3 more times and have not spoken to anyone. It has been a month since this happened and no one has reached out to me. I really want Jollibee to do well, so I hope this isn't the norm for them. read more

I've had this via DoorDash in the past and as good as the chicken is it needed hot sauce and you can't ask. So this time I decided to find the location and pick it up. They gave me Tabasco however the 2 piece with spaghetti was so good. The spaghetti is sweet with I thin hot dog pieces. The pineapple juice is a perfect drink with this combo. Yesterday was very different for me from my usual Tuesday mornings, starting with the fact that I was sitting in a packed, newly opened fast-food drive-thru line waiting to get spaghetti and fried chicken. For breakfast. At 7:45 in the morning lol. You can go ahead and add that to the veerryy long list of unexpected happenings that have been the hallmark of 2020. The line surprisingly moved pretty fast (I was driving off by 8:30am) and I felt completely welcome from the moment I turned the corner and pulled up to the start of the drive-thru queue with 2 menu-bearing employees dancing and smiling. They were wearing masks but I'm pretty sure they were smiling because of how high energy they were. Despite not having had my morning coffee yet, it wasn't annoying, which was nice. I can't wait for it to die down so I can walk up and take an obligatory photo with the creepy mascot bee; yay! I know I'm not the only one who thinks he's creepy lol. So they don't have breakfast and they don't have Halo Halo. Not a big deal since this was my first time visiting so I'm blissfully ignorant although I'm sure both are delicious. The longanisa and pancakes sounds nice, hopefully (maybe) they will eventually incorporate breakfast into their menu offerings because I would really like to try that garlic rice! For right now, at least until it does down, one of the 2 Jolli employees will walk up to your car with a big electronic device (wear your mask!) to take your lunch-menu order, tell you how you can't change it or add more once it's been entered, and then you get to wait until you've finally reached the window to "claim" your food and drive off with your loot. Things on my list to try *next* time: pineapple quencher, palabok, burger steak. Things on my list that I tried *this* time: spicy fried chickenjoy, regular fried chickenjoy, gravy to dip the chicken in, spaghetti, and peach mango pies. All were surprisingly different and unique in their flavorings. For example, if one were to compare their spicy chicken to any other spicy chicken joint (cough cough, Popeye's) you'll find that the spice used at Jollibee is definitely different and almost slightly curry-ish, if you will. I also liked how the exterior of the peach mango pie had almost a "crispy wonton" type flavor to it while the filling was bursting with peachy mango-y goodness. And last but not least... that spaghetti!!! Perfectly cooked noodles (NOT al dente) with a slightly sweet yet savory sauce dotted with ground beef, ham bits, and weenie slices! Can't forget that good ol' slice of processed yellow cheese to counter the sweetness with a little punch of sodium. It. Is. Heavenly. In the land of tacos... and burgers... and pizza. Ordered "4" 2 piece fried chicken combos for my wife and 2 kids plus a pie. The pie was probably the only good thing. Chicken was fresh but the steamed rice was cold. The meal was pretty pricey for a fast food joint. I paid $67 bucks. It was worth a try since I've never had jollibee before. I don't think I will be making this place a regular place when I come to San Antonio. I got the 2 piece chicken joy with mashed potatoes and it was pretty good! The chicken was moist, had seasoned breading, and paired well with the gravy that comes with it. I didn't realize that you could get spicy chicken but I tried some of my friend's and I think the spicy one is better! So next time I get the 2 piece chicken joy I would get the spicy version for sure. I didn't love the mashed potatoes though; I think fries would've been better. The mashed potatoes were just mediocre in my opinion. Other than that, I think the 2 piece chicken joy is a pretty decent meal if you're craving fried chicken. read more

My first and last adventure. So. I know we have the whole Covid thing going on. Yes I get it. I understand the challenges. So with that being said. What a joke. I don't care how good the food is, the drive thru and service is a joke. Once you order through the drive through they will have you park out in front with the other twenty or so something vehicles to wait it out. Man, was this place busy at the very beginning of the opening. It would take anywhere from 1-2 hours in a long drive through line just to be able to order food. Now the line and the hype has died down, and it doesn't take too long to get your food. Is it all hype though? I think if there's not a big line, that the food is definitely something to experience. It's unique in that there's spaghetti with fried chicken. Definitely unusual pairing, but the sweet spaghetti really compliments the fried chicken. They have burgers here too which are a good treat. We went 3 days after opening at around 10:30am, waited 30 minutes in the drive thru, which wasn't too bad at all! Service was very helpful and friendly! We got the 10 piece fried chicken bucket, half spicy, 2 adobo fried rice, 3 peach mango pies, and 1 yum burger. Their yum burger is simple, but fantastic. It's like a salisbury steak with cheese and mayo. Different, but still satisfying. I could honestly eat their chicken all day, and I did! Combined with the adobo fried rice, I was in heaven! Topping it all off with a peach mango pie was a nice happy ending. It's great hot and fresh or even cold the next day (assuming you put it in the fridge). I look forward to coming back here again, but probably gonna place a phone order so I get my food faster. :) read more

This is tricky restaurant to get food from right now. Jollibee has modified their parking lot to be a drive thru line, meaning no parking for pickup. We lucked out and managed to order food by phone around 5:30 pm. Pickup was around 6:20. By ordering by phone, you do have to provide your credit card details over the phone. To get your food in the most efficient way, park either at the Burger King next to the restaurant or the Walmart behind the restaurant, and then walk to the store front and give your info to the takeout employees. (I tried calling them when I got there, but their line was busy). We went with the combo pack A, which includes 6 pieces of chicken, 6 hamburger steaks, and three peach mango pies. We also got an order of their spaghetti. Overall the meal was very good. Jollibee lets you sub in spicy chicken (recommend), which have a bit more flavor than the regular chicken. The hamburger steaks were tender and had plenty of gravy and mushrooms. My only complaint is they tasted like a TV dinner Salisbury steak. The spaghetti was the best food part. Sausages and a surprisingly good sweet sauce. The real star of the show was the peach mango pies. We reheated them in our toaster oven, so their crispy outside and cobbler-like inside could be refreshed. I'm still excited about my next visit, in which I'll order spaghetti, lots of peach mango pies, and some of their yumburgers and sandwiches. read more

If you're looking for amazing fried chicken, this is the place to go. My husband craves this chicken and is willing to drive 30 minutes across the city for it on a regular basis. We always get the spicy option and it's just barely kissed with spice, so nothing that's going to scald your face off. The hamburger steak is not my favorite, it came out cold, as did the mashed potatoes and rice. The spicy deluxe chicken sandwich is something to write home about. It is fantastic and flavorful. They put jalapeños on the bottom bun that are very good. Of course I had to try the Jolly spaghetti and it's interesting. I'm still on the fence as to whether I like it or not but I always get it. It's very sweet and the noodles are not over cooked. The star of the show is the seasonal pineapple/coconut pie. It's amazing! Don't sleep on that if you decide to visit Jollibee. We had to get a classic peach/mango pie, which is always great. There was a sign on the door that stated that they were shortstaffed and asked for patience.
