Terrible experience.... Maybe our group of 12 overwhelmed the waitress. But for one of my coworkers to have her chicken plate taken because they forgot the vegetables, returned the same chicken plate now cold, have her wait longer for her vegetables to finally arrive defies all common sense. My coworker left without eating. And to add fuel to the fire, my food was never delivered because, according to the waitress, it was taken to the wrong table. By the time she realized the mistake, she stated that I would have to wait until they prepare my order all over again. When she starts bringing boxes and checks as everyone else is finished eating and ready to leave, here I am still without food, which at this point I asked to box it, as our lunch break was over. When she finally brought my food and everyone is getting ready to leave, I gave her a $20 bill for a $17 check and the waitress assumed that the $3 was her tip despite her horrible service. The waitress was unapologetic but simply took my money. I will not be returning to the Gallatin location. read more

It's my first time back in a couple of years to find the place forever short of parking space while running as well as it can at post-pandemic staffing levels. The service was quite good for the smaller number of servers and the food was as good as past memory. The SRO days may be gone for a while yet, but Jonathan's is doing well...maskless, but not down and definitely not out. The occasion was a drop-in Happy Hour mixer. Based on the appetizers (and arguably the most beautiful onion rings in town) the entrees are sure to please. Definitely worth a repeat visit. read more

I read a google review at this exact location last night making this same complaint about the salad. I've been a loyal steady customer for many years and was disappointed that one of my favorite dishes, the teriyaki salmon not only increased to $25 but not longer comes with the wild rice. It was replaced with a tasteless white rice, The side of vegetables was always one of my favorites has changed as well. I won't be back any time soon. read more

Arrived at Jonathan's at 12:45 today to watch the games with my family, secured table, my additional party arriving within the hour, in this time I was approached by my waitress and the manager/ Candace if my guest do not arrive within 10 minutes I must leave after me already spending over $125.00 in this place. I have been coming to Jonathan's since they opened 23 years ago, always a loyal customer and being asked to get up and leave is totally disgraceful on Jonathans and their ownership. Because of this action I will never waste another penny in this place nor should any one else. Horrible customer service and management and I would FIRE Candace today for her ignorance and lack there of customer service service skills. Well, it was hard to really eat my salad after I watched a large green bug crawl out of it. They replaced it of course but the salmon spinach salad was tasteless and I had lost my appetite. You think they would have comped me but no, they charged me $18 for that salad. I ate two bites and just couldn't keep going. We've been to Franklin before but never been to Jonathan's Grille. We've been missing out! The service was on point, and the food amazing! Every single thing we got was superb! We ordered the southwestern egg rolls for an appetizer and they were so good. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin and baked potato= excellent and cooked exactly like I ordered. It was so tender! They've got some great deals, but I'm sick of finding stuff in my food. Two years ago, it was a piece of zip tie in my soup. Last year, it was a hair in my buffalo dip. (Might I add that 2 bites in, we found the hair and sent it back, all they did was discount the dip 50%, so we still paid $5 for literally one bite of dip each.) And now, my to-go pizza has hair in it. I don't know what they've got going on back there, but 3 out of the last 6ish times I've gone, I've found something in my food. Stay away if you're worried about covid-19 This place has signs on the door saying they're practicing safe social distancing - but they're not enforcing I at all. I walked in to get a to-go order and people were ALL over the bar area Close by , eating and not in masks. I kindly asked the host to please have the bar bring my to-go order up to me at the host stand , as I felt unsafe to go to the bar to get my food as I was advised I had to do. She gave me the snarkiest rudest glare and said "I GUESS I can ask if they'll do that" The manager apologized and told me they have curbside (even though there is no mention of this on the website or when you order ) and she said the host shouldn't have been rude like that but she also said most of their customers don't care about social distancing or curbside ! We stopped here for a quick lunch and were quickly seated at booth. The staff was friendly, wore masks, and the food was really good. It seemed a little more crowded than what I'm used to but they were seating customers socially distant. I had the Chicken Tenders meal which came with a side and a salad and it was delicious. Visited with my son-in-law on a Sunday planning to watch a specific NFL game on one of the 40+ TVs in the sports bar. When we arrived the parking lot was filled nearly to capacity, but the crowd (probably watching the Titans game) began to thin as we waited about 5 minutes for a table. (Ours was a late afternoon game.) Before we knew it, the place emptied out. Oops #1...acoustics are horrible. One game blared out, drowning out most conversation. (With so many TVs showing so many different games, why not some ambient music since the broadcast dialogue we could hear did not apply to more than 2/3 of the TVs in our room?) Oops #2...no sampler or flight for the fair number of brews on the menu. However, they will allow you to try any you care to with a small sample glass. Oops #3...The first beer I ordered from the draft list...they did not have! (I was fairly undecided at this point because the remainder of the brews were some I had tried before or strong IPAs I wasn't interested in this day.) They do have a decent selection of bottled beers as well. Point to the "good." It does get better with attentive, friendly wait staff and some good food. Ordered apps to share during the game. Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips was flavorful and a decent size. Soft Pretzels were excellent; the Queso dip is apparently house-made but just so-so; viscosity is fine, but tastes like white Velveeta. We spiced it up with some Cholula sauce and turned out pretty good. Salads, salads, salads...more than one might expect. Also burgers, sandwiches, and entrees that appeared nicely presented (at adjoining tables). Higher marks could be earned with better acoustics and a little broader draft selection. Perhaps more micros and fewer big brewery commons. All-in-all still A-ok, especially since Sunday afternoon was 2 for 1 drinks. Nice surprise, Jonathans. read more

First timers at this place, here visiting friends and they recommended coming here. We ordered the buffalo dip, and it came out extremely fast however did not have a lot of chicken in it. Then I ordered the Medium Buffalo wings which were very good however some were really small and some were really big no in between. Even made eye contact with two waitress that were standing in a group of four by the beverage stand. I got up and asked on if this area was open and she just looked at me like I had three heads and mumbled something. The dining area wasn't even busy. We got up and left. This used to be our FAVORITE place and we came to this location all the time. I'm very disappointed in the change over time. The beer and happy hour is still good. The increase in food prices is OUTRAGEOUS. $15 for a single piece of cheesecake??? I get inflation but dang. Even the beer prices are insane! I just miss the old Jonathan's. The Buffalo chicken dip used to be my favorite thing there. Last time I ordered it I sent it back 3 times, thinking that they had given me a bad batch from the day before, but every single time it was just as bad. It smelled so gross and had the most disgusting taste. The waitress smelled it and agreed. After 3 attempts she asked to get us another appetizer, so we ordered the hummus. I was expecting them to comp it but nope, we paid for it. I wouldn't have gotten something else instead and would've just waited for our meal. But this Buffalo chicken dip was DAYS old and just being reheated again and again and again. This would've never happened in the past. I also got the nachos ($15) and they were served on a square plate with not many chips at all, not like they used to be when they came in a HUGE bowl and it was a massive, good sized serving. I also got both a pizza and a flatbread (at different times) to go and they did not taste the same as they used to. I had the exact same pizza the same week at the Spring Hill location and that one was absolutely delicious, just like it always does. I don't know why things have taken a turn for the worse but they really really really need to take a few tips from the Spring Hill location and go back to how things were a year or two ago. I placed an order online for my family. Drove 20 Min to pick it up. As I was waiting for my meal, i was shocked by how many people were packed next to each other particularly at the bar. No one had a mask there was no social distancing. I was stunned. I did get my meal and returned home. As we started eating our meal my daughter found a green bug in her food. So we all put our food in the trash except the meal with the bug in it. I drove back to the restaurant to return the bug and it get the issue resolved. They offered a $20 gift card to make up for the issue. I found a $20 gift card for a bill that was over twice that amount unacceptable. Particularly given i will never eat there ever again. Disappointing given i use to eat there often pre-COVId. I requested a complete refund and although they didn't like it, they agreed. read more

Late night in Nashville from out of town looking for somewhere to eat and this place was the only place opened close to the hotel. Would've been better if we had other options. Walked in and was not welcomed in by staff. The waitress we had seemed as if she didn't want to wait on us 3 black men. I We just didn't feel welcomed there, especially being the only African Americans there. She was speedy with taking our order and only check on us once while being there. Food was ok. Ordered wings, 2 bbq 1 flavorless chili lime, 2 out of 3 orders was satisfactory. The pizza rolls were actually good. Place was pretty clean. Typical bar atmosphere. Nothing too impressive. This was a great place to grab some dinner just a short walk from the Aloft hotel. They were slammed when I walked so I headed to the bar area and was lucky enough to snag a high top. Had a late lunch at the restaurant and took advantage of Happy Hour. Beers were two for one and wine was discounted. We shared a house salad and the Bistro Burger with sweet potato fries. There was plenty of food for the two of us, and they even brought it out on two plates (burger was cut in half). The burger was delicious! It had a little spice and the sauce was so good. The fries were also good, nice and crispy. We got the half side salad, which was good for us to share. The raspberry vinaigrette was not too sweet and I appreciated that.
