Salt was such an amazing waiter while he was taking care of the entire house. I appreciate his patience and speed when it came to his overall service. I believe it was also the owner who helped us out too since she was dressed so beautifully. She was very sweet. While they don't have a larger variety of certain cuts of protein their marinade is really flavorful. For the price it's definitely worth it compared to other restaurants. I've been to Jong Ga a solid amount of times and it's an old school dining/bar area, which I like every now and then. Nothing fancy. The grills could use some TLC, as the proteins weren't grilling/cooking as I'd like, but overall still a good spot. I was craving Korean short ribs, and convinced my friend to try Jong Ga House with me. We were thinking of doing the AYCE BBQ, but we decided to go for their lunch special menu because I knew my friend wouldn't get her money's worth, and she ALWAYS only eats half her meal and has the leftovers for another meal. I'd been to AYCE BBQ before, so wasn't sure what came with their lunch special. We were pleasantly surprised that they had (9) side dishes that were refillable, along with a bowl of rice (I chose the multi-grain), and a cold appetizer soup. I chose the LA Galbi short ribs with soft tofu soup, and my friend had the bulgogi lunch special with soft tofu soup. Service was great, food was great, cravings were satisfied! We got the all you can eat. Food was okay. Short ribs and brisket were good, but rest of our meat and seafood selection was mediocre. Even the Bulgolgi and spicy chicken were bland. Service was also not great. While the food came out fast as expected, we had to flag down our waitress whenever we needed refills on sides or drinks. For the price, we expected them to be more proactive about that. Especially since we came in at 5, and the restaurant was mostly empty. However, the thing that really bothered me was that when they saw my girlfriend setup her tripod and phone to record herself for social media, they asked if she was a streamer and suddenly started treating her much better. Step aside all other AYCE KBBQ favorites I've had in the past...Jong Ga has taken the crown. Quick service, delicious meats, and caramelized fried potatoes?! Ugh, I love it here. Our group of four visited on a Saturday night around 8:30. After circling the block a bit, we ended up parking in a nearby neighborhood but there was also street parking available up front-ish. At this time of night, there were still some tables available where we didn't need to wait more than the 5 minutes it took for them to set our table up. I see they also have a waitlist on Yelp that you can join ahead of time if you don't want to just walk in. From there, we browsed the menu and ordered while snacking on some of the sides and the food came out steadily after that. My typical KBBQ order is bulgogi and theirs was delicious. Not too greasy and perfectly marinated. I also really liked their boneless short ribs - and I'm not usually a big fan of short ribs. But I'll definitely be ordering that next time. Add the rice wraps, lettuce wraps, and garlic and I'm set. OH and of course, can't forget the caramelized fried potatoes. I can never find this anywhere else and it's my favorite! Variety of meats may not be as extensive as other kbbq restaurants, but I still really enjoyed the selection of meats they had. Their banchan was a 5/5 for my partner and me. They also have a great selection of other dishes. I had their corn cheese, soondoobu, and spicy buckwheat noodles (bibim naengmyeon) to pair with my meats. Their corn cheese was a nice big serving, good to share with the whole table. I love their bibim naengmyeon. It was savory, a little sweet, vinegary, refreshing with a little kick from the chilis. The soondoobu was just okay, but I honestly would still get it again. The servers were always busy because there was only 2 of them. However, they still stayed quite attentive to us. They would come to us whenever they could when they noticed our meats and other dishes were running low. They even did our grill changes without us having to ask. This is my second time here and we had made a reservation via Yelp prior to arriving. It didn't seem overly packed at the time we went as there was no one waiting in the waiting area that they have set-up. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately given the option to order food from the All-You-Can-Eat menu. This was probably one of the fastest instances where we were able to order food right from the get-go. We ordered mostly beef brisket, bulgogi, and pork belly. Everything was pretty good overall. There were a few moments where the beef brisket was cut a bit thicker than what you'd be used to which made it a bit more tough to eat. Staff came around often to take empty plates, change dirty grills, and take more orders. We definitely ate our money's worth. If you're looking for rice paper, this is unfortunately not an establishment where they do rice paper, but they do have other wraps like lettuce and radish that you can use as a substitute if you wish. read more

Service was friendly but they were super busy, so they couldn't check on us much besides to bring us more meats. The restaurant itself is big and has a homey feel to it. Food wise, everything was exceptional. The portions are very generous. The spicy chicken was marinated to perfection and it was chicken thighs which is my preference. The beef short ribs were delicious. The garlic pork belly was fatty but that's to be expected from pork belly. We also ordered bulgogi marinated beef. That was my man's favorite. The entire cooking experience was fantastic. We also ordered pineapple soju and they have liquor as well. We got a shot of henny and poured it into the soju. This spot was recommended by a friend to try. We had to change our dinner plans and was glad that this spot was able to accommodate our party of 14 on a Friday night. They had a decent size room upstairs to accommodate us. For the setup, I'm glad there was 4 grills for us to use. It had all the banchan sides prepared on the table. As for our waiter Salt, he allowed us to order meat ahead until the rest of our party arrived. He was very consistent in the beginning and brought everything for our party. After 2 rounds of ordering, he did stop coming around and I get that he was busy with other parties. Only con I the grill I had, had very low propane and it took forever for our first round of meat to cook. But Salt was able to replace it and brought out our next round of meat.
