The corsage and boutonniere were sold to me as a matching combo. Also that right there cost $60

I called and spoke with someone to customize a boutonniere and corsage for homecoming for my son and his girlfriend. The price was high, $60 for the combo, but I went ahead anyways. Not only were the flowers on the corsage not what was discussed - it was supposed to be red and white roses but it was only red - the boutonniere didn't even come with a pin or way to attach it! The band for the corsage is in such a spot that the flowers won't face up properly! This is a total waste of money and energy. I wanted to gift this for their special day and the flowers aren't what I wanted and now I have to find the right kind of pins to even attach the boutonniere on my son.

This is the arrangement that was received

I ordered an arrangement to send to a very dear friend to send condolences. I chose the option to have the arrangement upgraded with more flowers for a nominal fee. She sent me a photo of the arrangement when she received it and I was completely embarrassed and mortified. The arrangement did not look like photo at all, nor did it look like the upgraded version that I paid for. The flowers were wilted and not fresh. Total paid for this $126!!! Jory's was receptive when I reached out and acknowledged that the arrangement wasn't what I ordered. I was offered to have the bouquet re-delivered, but I declined. These arrangements turn out to be very pricey, be careful and make sure you're getting exactly what you paid for

Rich from Jory's flowers created 6 beautiful centerpiece arrangements for my wife's surprise birthday party. I gave him the colors and he took it from there and worked his magic. I highly recommend Rich and Jory's flowers.

Location Change: Jory's Flowers has moved to a workspace within Molli's Restaurant on the corner of Willow Pass and Galindo. I'd recommend calling ahead so the staff can meet you in the lobby (or open the front door if it's during hours when the restaurant is closed). I don't often buy flowers but when I need something special, it's usually a local florist I work with. I needed three, same-day bouquets so I called over to Jory's to see if they could accommodate. I arrived shortly after, met with Rich to explain the situation and sure enough- they were able to accommodate and get me taken care of in less than an hour. Lisa did an amazing job on these and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again, Rich and Lisa!

$70 arrangement. Colors were not vibrant and roses were small and nowhere near full bloom.

It's not often I give a one star rating, but if I could give them zero I would. I placed an order at 1:30 for a flower arrangement that the person on the phone said should be done an hour. He also warned me that he would be leaving earlier than their regular closing time (4pm). After 1 1/2 hours, I called to see if they were done and it went straight to voicemail. Worried that he left already, I drove to the shop. It turns out he didn't even start the arrangement. Annoyed that I drove to the shop for nothing, I was overall relieved that he didn't leave yet. He said it would be about twenty minutes or so for him to make the arrangement. I told him I'd have to come back since I was actually still working down the street. Thirty minutes later I receive an email stating my arrangement is ready. I drive there and end up waiting 27 more minutes for the arrangement. Once I get the arrangement, no apology. Nothing. And when I look at the arrangement, it looks so skimpy for $70. There is zero vibrance in the colors of the flowers and the yellow roses used were extremely small and weren't close to fully bloomed. It looks like an arrangement you could pick up at Safeway for half the price. Completely unacceptable.

Never again will I order flowers for delivery. This was my first time ordering delivery from Jory's, and it will be my last - not just from this place, but probably all florists at this point. So, like a dummy, I decided to give flower delivery another chance. I've used floral delivery services a handful of times in my life, and each time, it's left much to be desired. It NEVER has looked like the picture! And this time was no different. See pics. I checked Yelp and was pleasantly surprised by the high ratings of this place, so I thought to myself: "lemme give this place a try. Maybe I've just been unlucky with other places." I ordered flowers to be delivered to my partner's office by 4pm. Well... the majority of you fellow yelpers lied to me. Not only was the arrangement horrible (legit, it almost made me cry), but it arrived almost 3 hours late, and it had to be delivered to our home instead. I called at 4 pm, wondering what had happened. I was told there was a mix-up with times, and the weather was causing some delays. The individual agreed to switch the address and said they'd deliver "soon." I texted at 6pm and asked if there were updates since they hadn't arrived yet. They arrived around 6:45ish. Sure, I was already irritated with the huge delay, but I tried to understand that things come up... (even though the point of delivering to my partner's office was because work had been all sorts of intense lately)... ...and then I laid eyes on the arrangement... I cannot believe I paid $116 for this (included an upgrade to deluxe, plus $19 delivery fee, and an $8 tip). I felt like I had to apologize to my partner. We had a good laugh. Deluxe, where? I've recommitted to never using a floral delivery place ever again. Please don't waste your money!

It's my first time to order delivery flowers from Jory's Flowers at Concord, California. I was expecting FRESH FLOWERS for my sister-in-law's birthday. But to my disappointment, she sent me a couple of photos ten minutes after delivery and some of the flowers were almost rotting, old and not fresh at all. I paid $118.53 for flowers that are not fresh, maybe 3 to 4 days old with brown edges. So disappointed and not going back to this company. Please be aware of this, future buyers.

I failed to plan ahead and needed flowers delivered locally same day. Jory's was able to do that and the arrangement was beautiful! I liked that I could order online and it was a stress-free experience. I'll definitely use Jory's again!

I ordered flowers through their website so did not deal with any person directly and overall am very happy with the bouquet. They did a pretty good job of including most of the flowers listed on the site but did replace at least one with another type of flower. The website indicated it would be delivered with this specific mosaic vase which is why I picked the bouquet. It mentioned it twice on their website and yet the bouquet arrived in a different vase of the same color family. Still a very beautiful bouquet but expect substitutions. read more

Ordered Mother's Day flowers as I am out of state and can not deliver flowers to my mom for the first time ever. I made it a tradition to send flowers to her work annually on Mother's Day and I really hoped Jorys would help me continue this tradition. I put my order in early and left a note stating I needed them delivered by a certain time. I called their help desk to ensure that the staff would see that note and she reassured me they are on top of that stuff. I trusted her and this morning I found out my Mom didn't receive her flowers. I can say delivered same day. Selection, hahaha. That's a joke. I bought that same plant but BIGGER at grocery outlet for 7$! They changed me 54.98 & 3 balloons for 6$ each, and delivered to same zip code for 19$!!! I'd never use this place again! I called early am & they delivered as requested. THATS IT. QUALITY SUCKS. THAT BASKET CAME FROM GOODWILL! Yuck! Bad value for the money for sure. read more

Very Disappointed! Ordered flowers for my mom's funeral service, I worked with Lisa who was very nice during the order. However, when we showed up to the church (which was 5 miles away) the flowers were not there. It was noted that the Funeral service STARTS at 10:30am, so I would expect the flowers to be delivered in advance. I had to call Lisa multiple times on the status of the order. They didn't always pick up the phone so it was consistently trying to attempt to call them. This was the last thing I wanted worry about at this time. After over 5 phone calls the flowers finally showed up at 10:48am (after the service started). The Funeral director recognized the delivery driver and commented that he is known to always be late. The flowers were beautiful, however the service is unacceptable as I gave them over a week's notice. I do not recommend this florist. read more

My long-stem roses arrived for Valentine's Day and they were gorgeous! The longest stems I have EVER seen on a rose. The bouquet stood 30" tall from base to tip. The most beautiful red roses and baby's breath I have ever received. Thank you, Jory's Flowers for such an impressive bouquet. read more

Ordered flowers for my friend's bday in advance. Credit card was charged and got order confirmation email. Was looking forward to the delivery date to congratulate my friend. The flowers haven't been delivered by 6 pm that day. Called customer service, they told me the flowers can still be delivered by 7pm and they can't help tracking the order. Asked me to wait. Next day my friend didn't get flowers either!! The next next day the flowers have been delivered to my friend's neighbor, who, eventually, brought the flowers to my friend. To sum it up: Flowers have been delivered the next day after the scheduled/promised/paid delivery date AND to the wrong address!!! I keep calling customer service to get a refund for such a poor service, but they tell me they can't do it, they can just submit a complaint and flowers shop will contact me. And nobody gets back to me! The worst service ever! read more

I purchased a LOVELY bouquet for Mother's Day which we were very impressed with!!! My go-to florist - not only do they make beautiful floral decorations that my wife loves but they have amazing customer service. When there was a minor issue with the flowers for Valentine's Day (when I know everyone is short-staffed and working overtime), they responded back to me within two hours and brought an AMAZING second bouquet the same day - within three hours! I really like supporting local businesses (especially florists because they come fresh and not in a box!) and I will continue to support them going forward. Thank you! read more

Good service but I received bad flowers I liked that people here answers their phone calls. I had no issues ordering my Billy Balls for my wedding. I received it on time too. The Billy Balls were small and at the end of its life. I was still able to use most of them but some were molding. read more

Review #070 - 2017 I had this florist bookmarked while searching for something close to the Concord/Pleasant Hill area since that's where our mom's funeral service was being held. I decided to actually use them because when I went to meet up with our funeral director, Russell, at Diablo Valley Cremation, he had their business cards readily available so I knew they should be reputable considering he was willing to recommend them to me. I placed an order for a deluxe casket spray, 2 deluxe heart wreaths and a deluxe photo garden wreath for our mom's funeral service. The person who assisted me with the order over the phone, Kelly, was very sweet and sympathetic. She was very accommodating with the changes that I had requested for the flower selections. When the flowers showed up at the church, they were breathtakingly beautiful. They were even more beautiful than I had imagined. A church member also asked me to place an order on her behalf for a bleeding heart wreath and it was just as beautiful. I asked to have them substitute the red roses with lavender and they were able to accommodate that as well. This place really does go above and beyond to make you feel like you are valued as a customer. Thank you for making our mom's floral arrangements extra special, just like her! read more

THANK YOU to Jerry and fantastic team at Jorys Flowers for the gorgeous rehearsal dinner and wedding flowers! The bouquets were so beautiful especially mine! We had more people wanting the centerpieces than we had centerpieces end of night! Forever our florist. If you want someone who really cares about you and your event, call Jerry. He really wants to help you with your vision and I just liked working with him soooo much. No other florist around cared like him and I called most of them! I had the best experience today getting flowers! My pregnancy announcement photos were moved last minute to tomorrow so I was on a hunt for flowers on a small budget. I will not use Jory's Flowers in the future, I ordered flowers for my wife for our 47 th Anniversary. When the flowers hadn't arrived by 5 pm I called the number provided. I was connected to a phone service who said they would track the driver and call me back. At 6:30 pm (Jory's closed at 4 pm) the flowers arrived. No return call! The flowers are what I ordered but the delivery spoiled the experience of receiving them to enjoy throughout the day. I could tell she appreciated the effort but the Happy Experience was lost! read more

I called and spoke to the owner who promised to send a different plant from the one I originally ordered but an acceptable replacement, again nothing was delivered. I tried calling again and left 5 messages and have not heard anything. But my credit card got charged! They didn't forget to do that. AVOID. read more

Update: Rich, an owner, reached out to me again today to get the details from the second attempt that I still wasn't happy with. He agreed to refund my money because they still didn't get it right the second time. I initially agreed to take down my review but after seeing a few other recent reviews with similar experiences of sub-par arrangements I decided to leave it up because people need to know. But I'm changing to 3 stars since I got a refund. I understand that staffing is hard right now with so many people still not wanting to work but then the delivery window on the website should be adjusted. Hopefully they can work out their employee training issues if that's what's causing this. Orig Review: If I could give 0 Stars I would. I ordered a premium arrangement of flowers for my Daughter's first baby to be delivered to the hospital. What was delivered was embarrassing and infuriated me. It literally looked like a kindergartner had arraged it. It didn't even look close to the picture of what I purchased for $146 along with 2 balloons (they only sent one) and a Medium white animal (they sent a small brown one). The first image is what I ordered, the second is a collage of the various angles of what was delivered. I sent an email and then called and left 3 messages in 24 hours before one of the owners called me back. I had to specifically tell the service to list on the message that if I didn't hear back I'd dispute the charges with my credit card company. Within 20 minutes Rich, one of the owners, called me. He asked what he could do to make it right, they wanted to redo the original and deliver it but she was home already. So I said a gigantic spring bouquet with pinks and red roses would be great. He agreed. What was delivered today (valued at $114 with delivery fee) was a pretty bouquet but still not worth what they charge and not even close to the flowers that were supposed to be in the original arrangement, or what Rich promised me he'd have made and sent. They did this to me once before, 12 years ago but I thought I'd give them another chance. I'll never do that again. I'll never use this company again. They bait and switch figuring the person who sends flowers will never see what is actually delievered. $146 for crappy service when I was trying to use and support a local company. Don't use Jory's, they're horrible. read more

Thank you for the amazing flower arrangements you created for my mothers memorial. Death is never really welcomed but the beautiful colors and design made moms passing more comfortable. The staff at Jory's worked with us from start to finish and went above and beyond to deliver a product that was exceptional in every way! The delivery was flawless and the follow through from Chelsea, the designer and shop manager, was truly unexpected. I was looking for flowers for my mothers small graveside funeral. I ordered a flower arrangement on a stand, with purple and white flowers with a ribbon. This was all to be delivered by 11:30 am on Saturday. I received 3 or 4 phones calls from Jory's 1 and 2 days before with problems with my order. First with the what kind of flowers (any purple ones are fine), then they said they hadn't charge me for the ribbon I had requested. The issue went on and on. DAY OF FUNERAL "NO FLOWERS!!!!". Made several trips up to office to check for them NOTHING. Even called a few times to Jory's, oh they were dropped off. FLOWERS WERE BROUGHT TO THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE HALF WAY THROUGH THE SERVICE. Flowers were white, with this pale ugly looking pink color NOT PURPLE!!! JORY"S blamed the issue with cemetery not bringing them down to gravesite. EXCEPT I had been up to the office myself looking for them with the mortician and check ALL OVER several times with nothing found!!! For $200.05 and then $45.73 for the ribbon I would have thought when I called and complained about the HORRIBLE SERVICE, and how these were the ONLY FLOWERS for the service that when JORY'S interrupted the service to deliver them and take a picture of them SOME KIND of an apology would be given or EVEN WHEN I CALLED TO VENT my issue after that some kind of compensation or something would be given. NO NOTHING AT ALL til this day and service was July 23rd. This is something that can't be forgotten, my goodness it was my mothers funeral. JORY'S says its cemetery's fault and CEMETARY says its JORY'S. Where the flowers just hiding in a coffin?? read more

It was my friends birthday and we didn't get a chance to actually hang out the day of her birthday so I decided in lieu of being together I would replace myself with flowers. Her favorite flower is the Gerbra Daisy. I went to the website link, off of this yelp page and picked a Birthday inspired bunch of flowers that, in the photo, included a few Gerbra Daisies. I know that sometimes they take liberties with the arrangement depending on that flower shops availability but the arrangement she got looked nothing like the photo. Not even the same color scheme. If there was at least one Gerbra I would have been happier. She loved it and was very surprised. I will use them again but next time I will call instead of doing everything online. read more

A+ for service! Oh yeah and the flowers were awesome too! I wanted to send flowers to a patient at John Muir Hospital and I was provided with the phone number for Jory's Flowers from the hospital gift shop volunteer. I called Jory's Flowers on Tuesday morning at about 10 am and spoke with Don. She took my order over the phone. I knew I wanted a medium sized bouquet that wouldn't be obnoxiously large in the hospital room. I didn't have a preference for the type of flowers in the arrangement, but wanted fresh seasonal flowers that looked good that day. She said she would place the order for a medium size 'florists choice' bouquet incorporating bright colors. I didn't have the patient's room number when I placed the order, but I had the name. Don said it would not a problem and assured me that they would call the hospital prior to delivery to get the room number. I paid for my order over the phone and was assured delivery by noon the next day. Total cost was about $65.00... $50 for the bouquet and $15 for delivery. It was totally worth it because the flowers ended up being beautiful. I even got an email confirmation upon delivery! I would definitely recommend Jory's Flowers for your floral needs! read more

I understand that not every florist may be familiar with that term, and I would have been perfectly happy to explain what I meant. What disappointed me was the customer service I received. Instead of professionally asking for clarification, the employee seemed to mock my question and made me feel uncomfortable for simply asking about a flower style. She kept asking if I went on their website to check out their flowers. When I told her I did and didn't see the style I wanted. She automatically turned me away saying "okay, I don't know what you're talking about, this is flower bowl not farm girl flowers!." I can sense frustration, and attitude. Which led me ending our conversation. The conversation felt dismissive and unprofessional from the start. The interaction ended with her saying, "Okay, you weirdo, my dear," while laughing before hanging up. Whether it was intended as a joke or not, I found it inappropriate and unprofessional to speak to a potential customer that way. As someone who was genuinely interested in placing an order, I expected a polite explanation or follow-up questions about the style I was looking for. Instead, I was left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Customer service should make customers feel comfortable asking questions, not mocked for them. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

My order was taken & I clearly provided the information for delivery (my cc was promptly charged even tho the person taking my order didn't know the exact fee... for a dozen roses...). The destination is a 5 min. drive from the recipient. This costs $140; that's fine. It's important to me that the flowers get where they're supposed to go, WHEN they're supposed to go. That's the whole reason I'm calling a professional florist. They deliver the flowers a day early, seemingly for no good reason. When I realize this, I immediately call to explain what's happened. I could have bought beautiful roses from anywhere else for much less & taken them myself... the TIMING is important in the florist business (I assume?). I calmly ask to speak w the mgr. & I receive pushback. The lady who answers the phn doesn't want to track down the mgr.; I can just tell her about my issue. So I clearly explain what is wrong & (when asked what should be done) that I expect a partial refund or some form of compensation for my $140 dozen roses delivered a day early before Valentine's Day. Ppl make mistakes... but... The sole reason I'm even leaving this review is bc of the lackadaisical, almost resentful tone & attitude of the lady who fielded my call. She is the opposite of what a business owner or founder would want for customer service. If timing is important to you when you order flowers, you might want to avoid this business. That would merit a 3 star review. If customer service is important you, def. avoid this place. This is a 1 star review primarily for the tone-deaf reply I rec'd when I initially expressed my dismay: "well... you know, mistakes happen, & I mean, they were delivered."

She arrived home later than planned from too many errands in a new area & grocery shopping. When she saw the arrangement on her doorstep, she said she brokedown crying bc it was so beautiful and it would make the table so special & beautiful. Mind you I had only ordered it a few days prior bc It took awhile to find what I was specifically looking for, a centerpiece arrangement that would be in a cornucopia basket. It was a thing growing up in the 70's, our Mom's had this type of basket that was put on the table every Thanksgiving yet somehow times change, and many moves later no basket. They now had one again, and said it brought back all the good memories from many childhood family Thanksgivings. The funeral home suggested that they'd deliver the flower to the cemetery, but Sonia wanted to ensure they arrived in perfect shape. After my sister-in-law passed away on February 12, 2016, I began checking the obituaries in her local daily newspaper for information about a date and time for her service. I found the notice on the same day as the viewing. The national floral service provided through the funeral home said it was too late in the day for a delivery. I called Jory's Flowers after reading their Yelp reviews and website. My brother-in-law phoned today to thank me for the 'absolutely beautiful' flowers they received via Jory's Flowers. This is from a man not easily impressed nor given to compliments in the superlative. That endorsement was enough for me to share my confidence in their representation of the product and how satisfied I was with their handling, design consultation and follow-through. Maureen was professional, thorough and displayed such kindness and consideration by accepting the request at a late hour in the day. Trust is invaluable in this kind of situation; they certainly earned mine. read more

I just hosted a small but important event at a restaurant and needed 2 centerpieces for a long table of 18. I had seen Jory's work previously at weddings and such, but wanted something very simple and organic - not your typical 'centerpiece'. Don Hotten, the owner of Jorys emailed to see if he could help. I sent him pinterest photos of what I was thinking. He said, "You'd better come in". So I did and he took me in the back workroom, and we picked out branches and leaves in the Fridge; he placed them in a tall vase; added a few blossoms; edited, shifted, and designed just the right element of flower perfection! The price was very reasonable. They were delivered on time and graced the table beautifully! Jory's delivered the personal attention I was seeking and created the highlight of my event! I ordered an arrangement for my sister two days ago for her birthday which was the following day. I was a little afraid since I live in Texas and I wanted for her to get the most beautiful flower arrangement. I gave them a call and I told them that I wanted for her to get a big bouquey of the most beautiful flowers that they had. I wanted the arrangement to look full and to incorporate some purple flowers since thats her favorite color. My sister called me as soon as she received the flowers, she was so happy! she completely loves the flower arrangement that they made for her. My Mom just pasted away and I was recommended to Jory's.....OMG what a wonderful experience at a sensitive time. Don the owner no doubt gets it!!! He and his staff took a sadden time and turned my mom's passing into a joyful celebration. It is so wonderful to see a family that has been in business for so long go above and beyond to put forth the greatest customer service and understand each situation or event they are attending to. 5 STARS! Beautiful arrangements, user friendly website, great prices, wonderful staff, and 5 Star customer service. I called them at the last minute (Saturday) the night before Mother's Day and placed an order for delivery the next day. (The company I originally placed my order with cancelled) Jory's Flowers promised they would get the beautiful arrangement I selected to her on Sunday. They did as promised, the arrangement was fresh and my aunt absolutely LOVED her flower's! This delivery was important to me for a number of reasons. I lost my mom last year and my aunt has been there for me and my family. It's so refreshing dealing with a professional and friendly business. I live in South Carolina. I called Jory's Flowers in Concord, California yesterday to ask the impossible for most florists - a same day delivery. I had just learned about a memorial service planned for the next day and very much wanted a floral arrangement delivered to the home as an expression of sympathy. The gentleman I spoke to at Jory's was kind, understanding, capable and efficient and delivery was promised for later that day. I walked in off a recommendation from a friend and was helped immediately by Don. I told him what I was looking for for my sons wedding. He nailed the colors immediately, and was able to get the exact flowers we wanted in mid winter. The price was very reasonable too. He was easy going and easy to work with. Most important he delivered the flowers on time and even threw in the brides toss bouquet for free when I ordered it at the last minute. I want to express my dissatisfaction with a recent order from Jory's. I ordered a floral arrangement 1 week in advance, costing $150 and it was scheduled to be picked up at a specific time. However, just 30 minutes before the scheduled pick-up, I received a call informing me that three types of flowers essential to the original bouquet were unavailable. I am particularly concerned about the short notice provided. It is unclear why this issue was only identified and communicated within an hour of my scheduled pick-up time, rather than the day before or even a few hours earlier. I attempting to use 1800flowers.com & FTD.com to have an arrangement sent to someone special at a specific time of day. Neither could accommodate my request. I live out of town and wanted to send a funeral arrangement on short notice, I didn't know who to contact so another friend recommended Jory's. When I called to place the order I had no idea what type of flowers to get but the person I spoke to was very accommodating and was able to offer a lot of helpful suggestions. When I came to town for the visitation the next day I was very happy with the arrangement; my friend even made a point to mention how beautiful it was. For my 30th Wedding Anniversary I chose Jory's to create and deliver to my wife at her workplace an awesome arrangement that would contain 30 of her favorite kind of roses. I worked with Maureen, who was tremendous to do business with, i.e. very patient, kind, and knowledgable. Net, net, these guys delivered a gosh darn Picasso of an arrangement to my wife and with super fast turnaround. My wife went nuts with joy. All the women she works with went berserk as well. I am beyond thrilled with the floral arrangements from this florist! They created the most stunning bouquets for my bridal shower and tea ceremony. Although they initially mentioned that white peonies weren't available and would be replaced with orchids, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bouquet with beautiful white peonies. I had 7 days to prep for my daughter's wedding! Had the idea to have some gardenias (a childhood fav) in a bouquet for her...NONE could be found...on the day of the wedding...i googled flowers close to me, Jory popped in my search, he answered the phone and within 1/2 hour, I had an entire BOX FULL of delight!
