I met a childhood friend here for lunch, she lives in the area and I was driving through in my way home from Branson. I love when locals tell you about a really good restaurant. We love Mexican food and this one did not disappoint! Chips and salsa were good, it's decorated so cute for Christmas, the staff was great and our meals were pretty delicious. I had the lunch fajitas, my friend had the chile relleno and my hubby had the 3 tacos. We all left happy and full!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Springfield. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they have a nice outdoor patio. The food is delicious and they offer multiple wines which is great! The service is so friendly and welcoming.

EXCELLENT! Taco Tuesday was awesome and it's a great atmosphere! Shredded Chicken and beef tacos were delicious! Side of rice and beans can be split between 2 people. Also loved that they gave everyone in our party their own salsa cup for dipping the chips. Service was great!

We brought 25 kids in tonight. The server was great. Everything was made to order. Has an awesome theme, Jose. Food was good

Visited on a Friday night and was surprised by the live singing which was beautiful but got a little loud as the night went on. I had tacos a La cart and a watermelon marg. I didn't enjoy the marg it didn't taste like watermelon but the shrimp and the steak tacos were good. I didn't enjoy the chips and salsa but the queso was delicious and probably my fav thing here. The service was quick and our server was patient and friendly.

After a grueling 11 hours drive we found ourselves searching for dinner at 8:45pm on a Sunday night. Luckily Jose's was 4 minutes from the hotel and was accommodating to our to go order. The employee that took my order was patient, kind, and quick! I had the entire order and was back in my hotel room at 9pm. We ordered the horchata which was homemade. It was so creamy and had a nice vanilla flavor, we both would highly recommend trying it. Then we shared an order of chicken fajitas which were fantastic. We hate green peppers and they allowed us to substitute jalapeño for the green giving it a great spice. And the accoutrements were on point, their beans and rice were great and loved their salsa. The fajitas come with three corn tortillas, there is plenty so I would recommend getting a second portion (if Jose's allows, we did not ask) and split, you will both be well fed. If we lived around here we would go again but for us it was a great ending to our first day of travel!

My favorite place for cheese dip and fajitas. #1 in my book for Mexican food. A little pricey.

This place is great. A little expensive for Mexican food, but we have never had a bad experience. Quality food with prompt service!

We chose some comfy chairs next to the large windows that overlook downtown Springfield. I'm absolutely obsessed with the ambiance. It was dark, moody, classy, and modern. I bet it looks very different during the day when all the natural light comes through! Our sever Elias was quite memorable! He's very attentive and personable, and his outgoing, bubbly personality is contagious. For reference, he literally skipped around rather than walking as he went to and from our table to check on us. It seemed like he was having so much fun and genuinely enjoys working there. I enjoyed a glass of sauvignon blanc. Very small glass for the price in my opinion, but no complaints about the taste. My partner had an espresso martini that was also served in a rather small glass, but it was strong and delicious. Love that they offer so many mocktail options on their menu as well! Next time I'm in town, I'd love to visit again to sit outside and try some of their appetizers. Everything sounded amazing!

Adventure Saturday!!! Today we took a drive into Springfield and visited Finley Farms - a MUST go…read morefor a little bit of history with a load of amazing food. Finley Farms is the Ozark Mill along the Finley River that was purchased by the daughter of Johnny Morris (owner of Bass Pro Shop). They did a huge renovation and conversion to include a restaurant, country store, fine dining speakeasy style bar and restaurant, coffee shop and gardens. We started with brunch at the Ozark Mill restaurant. Then walked the grounds, including an old bridge. We headed out for a few hours and returned for dinner at The Garrison (speakeasy vibe bar and fine dining). We had reservations on the patio and it was simply gorgeous. The food and cocktails were amazing. Service was exceptional - We cannot wait to go back!

Last year we had to cancel a reservation due to our friend's illness, this year we decided we can't wait for our friends anymore. We have to take matters in our hands and come by ourselves. We don't need no stinking chaperone !! We arrived early to shop in the Finley farms shop and check out the ozark Mill. The brick parking lot is beautiful and inviting, we absolutely love the history behind the Ozark Mill, and we're excited to see how gorgeous everything was on the inside. I was slightly concerned that my expectation was gonna be way way way out of bounds considering I've been looking forward to coming to this restaurant for four years. Shockingly the experience was so much better than I had anticipated. We love that we're able to check in upstairs and have a codeword to check into the speakeasy type restaurant downstairs. Not to brag but I still remember the password! We were blessed to be the first couple seated and it was fun that we got a booth so we could check out the other tables and really soak in all the ambience . Our waiter Chris is top notch. He is knowledgeable, quick to help and very authentic. Per his recommendation, we decided to have the Garrison experience which is an eight course meal. We decided this isn't happening all the time so let's go big so then we can go home. To prepare for the dinner of a lifetime. I did decide to do a 24 hour fast so that I would have every nook and cranny of my stomach ready for the amazing meal that I knew was to come, boy was I glad I did. It's obvious that one can tell the skill of a chef based on how everything tastes, what separates magnificent from excellent as when something you typically hate ends up tasting surprisingly good. I have always hated cheese. I know this is a cardinal deficiency in my palate , but it's just the truth. When I saw that there would be French and soup on the eight course meal, I quietly decided that I would just not partake in that course. When I noticed shrimp was on that same meal I knew my husband wouldn't take part in that since he hates shrimp. I figured the experience would be fine if we just didn't eat some of the things that were served to us. Shockingly enough everything was delicious. The girl who hates cheese, devoured her French onion soup, and the man who despise a shrimp decided the shrimp was actually pretty good. Wow !!! That's saying something. We of course, also had to partake in the signature cocktails. I had the molasses cocktail and my husband had the Garrison. Later, we shared the Boulter and my husband was able to have a glass of wine. Our eight course extravaganza took three hours and we loved every second of it. Kris was there the whole time warning us not to fill up too early since there was delicious food ahead. Not a piece was bad things that we typically hated we loved and we left knowing this was the night that will always remember. I am pretty sure this is going to be our standard anniversary, got a promotion, daughter got engaged sort of restaurant where we will mark big occasions with wonderful memories at the Garrison. On our way out, Brandon was sweet to help us. Take the epic Garrison photograph in the tunnel. Thank you, Garrison. You knocked it out of the park.
