A hidden GEM!! This restaurant was featured on Fox61 Foodie Friday and I couldn't wait until the following day to come visit. I came alone so it only made sense to sit at the bar top (no alcohol). There was a short wait but nothing out of the ordinary. Kate have me a menu to look at while I waited. Once a seat became available I sat and Lindsey cane over to greet me. Service was quick and my coffee cup was never empty. I ordered the gluten free cinnamon French toast and a side of hash, came out quickly and was delicious. They bake their own bread!! While I was waiting, I asked Heidi, seemed to be manger, if they served lunch today I wanted to take home a Reuben she politely said not today. A couple minutes went by and she told me the owner said she would make me one of I wanted! Wow!! What great customer service!! I enjoyed my breakfast and now will enjoy a nice lunch. Went to Josie's Corner for breakfast this morning. Food was average. I had egg sandwich and my wife had the 1 egg breakfast. This being our first time there, I would advise new comers to watch out for extra charges and be careful to add up the check to verify the charges. Apparently there 's an additional charge for the toast too. Our check was added up incorrectly as well. The waitress was quick to correct it and apologized for the error. read more

My son and I stopped here on our way up to do some ziplining at Go Ape in New Britain. We were greeted at the door by a charming woman who told us to "sit anywhere we like". My son got 3 chocolate chip banana pancakes and couldn't finish two! These things were HUGE and delicious. I had eggs, bacon and two pancakes and couldn't get through mine either. Found this place through good Yelp reviews. My girlfriend and I spent the weekend in this area for a wedding . On the day after the wedding before heading home we where looking to get a good breakfast . My girlfriend has a gluten sensitivity and this place had gluten free menu items. They even make their own gluten free breads and muffins . I had the cheeseburger omelette which was awesome . My girlfriend had gluten free cinnamon French toast which was delicious . My only complaint is the seating situation . They don't have system set up for seating . You walk in wait in a line and as tables open up you sit at them . Most of the table seat 4 but there are some larger booths that seat 6. read more

Best breakfast I have had in quite some time! Recently moved to the area and brought my parents who are very hard to please. The corned beef hash was excellent and crispy. The homemade toast to die for and the French toast (made with the homemade bread) was so good I couldn't stop eating it. The homefries were some of the best!!! my mom gave the blueberry pancakes two thumbs up and my dad gave the omelette 5 stars ! Holy stuffed my dear lord! The staff, the food and the atmosphere make for a perfect breakfast experience. There was literally a line out the door but the staff kept it moving. We waited 10 minutes to sit and we're taken care of quickly. French Toast on homemade bread was the best I have had at any breakfast spot in the state! The waitresses are a hoot (be careful of the one with the Jets hat she takes her team seriously :) ) My wife and I have never been here before and stopped by on a whim I am so glad we did. My friend went for breakfast and waited an hour and twenty minutes for their breakfast. Once the food was on the table, it was delicious of course. But because of the ridiculously long wait, they left only a $2.00 tip and used their debit card. Once the transaction cleared the account, it was apparent someone fiddled with the numbers and took a $12.00 tip. So she visited Josie's to straighten it out. When she got to the restaurant, she saw her waitress from that day and discussed the problem. The waitress addressed the owner and said, this is the customer with the $12.00 tip on her bill. It was clear in the discussion that the owner had questioned the waitress that day on that tip which seemed high for the amount of the bill. The owner argued with my friend, saying that she has the receipt at home and finally hesitatingly gave my friend her $10.00 back. Why would my friend give a $12.00 tip on a $20.00 meal when it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get served? And why would she go through the trouble to travel back to the restaurant to discuss this unless there was a wrong that needed to be righted? And why would the owner have discussed this specific tip with the waitress unless there was something not quite right? So, when my friends and I went, we were sure to pay cash. Unfortunately, when we went, the food wasn't as good as it usually is and the pancakes were dry. It seems like they need to return to down home customer service and cooking. read more

This little diamond in the rough was an amazing find. The food was great and the service was impeccable. Our waitress was extremely nice and was very attentive. Won't be going back... While they do offer a great selection of gluten-free menu items, I lost my appetite quickly during my last visit. We sat in a booth, and I sat on the inside seat near the window...the windowsill was crawling with fruit flies during my entire meal. This I could deal with...it happens. But when our server came over, she arrived with a handful of napkins and utensils and proceeded to set the table by holding all of our silverware in her (presumably dirty...let's be real) hand with the tips of the forks and knives in her closed hand (as opposed to holding the handles). Kind of gross being handed your fork by a waitress, while she's gripping the part you're going to put in your mouth, inside her bare palm. I officially lost my appetite once she proceeded to cough a meaty cough directly into those same hands as she was writing our order on her notepad. Hence my reasoning for finding it distasteful to grab all the utensils the way she did. Forget that it's cold and flu season, that's just plain gross. I'll just stop there. Waited for a very long time and was never seated. Once finally sat, and waiting for 30 min for our food (which mind you is breakfast foods shouldn't take so long in such a small place) our order was very messed up. Asked to split the check and the waitress wrote a jumble of numbers on a single small note pad piece of paper. Once going to pay and explain that this was apparently our "split check" the hostess/cashier woman proceeded to make very rude snarky remarks to the men close by saying "guess they can't pay for common sense. It's probably because they're millennials" (side note: were not) (other side note: WE DIDN'T MAKE THE CHECK) it was very upsetting. I've been here multiple times and today I did a take-out order. Granted the restaurant was half full, but I still expected my order to take at least 10-15 minutes. I didn't think to time it but I know I was not sitting there that long. The restaurant really has that homey feeling and the food is always excellent, especially for the price you pay. I got the 2 eggs, homefries, bacon, and two slices of toast with a large orange juice and the total was less than $10. The food was so good and so filling that I may go get another order tomorrow morning. This place would get 5 stars if not for how noisy and crowded it gets on weekends. People flock to this place from all of the neighboring towns and rightfully so - the food is delicious.
