This is a very nice location that has indoor and outdoor seating. There is a huge parking lot so no issues with parking. Every time we have been here there is always a nice cashier with friendly service with a smile and we love it. The place is very clean and spacious. We ordered two affogatos and a strawberry pop tart. The drinks were so yummy and I enjoyed every bite and very glad we decided not to share! LOL. he pop tart we had later I t be day and it was good but reminds us one of jam on a shortbread cookie. Still tasty and delicious. Journey Coffee is a nice coffee and breakfast location at the One Lake development. The location oversees a man made lake designed for the local community. The interior and exterior decor is modern. There's limited seating inside but they also have a few tables outside. Typically, it's crowded on the weekends with families, so arrive early if you're needing a table. Week days aren't too bad and we've found a table within the first few minutes. We ordered the breakfast wrap & the egg white bowl. Both were very delicious with fresh ingredients. It's hard to go wrong when everything is fresh! For drinks, we had a cold brew and the match latte. Their food & drinks are made to order & consistent each time. Our favor pastry to grab to go is there Nutella hand pie. The pastry is rich, soft and the crust is flaky. Very similar to a pop tart, but way better. I found the quality of this coffee shop quite average. Coffee itself was plain and the Matcha felt whatever. The overall space is quite big and I can see myself studying here. The worst part was how long until to get our food well over 30 minutes to get a breakfast burrito and a salad. I got the stuffed avocado salad and it was so unbelievably plain. The food was delicious, gluten friendly, and reasonably priced with large portions. the service was excellent, friendly and informative, barista went above and beyond helping a member of our party figure out an espresso drink. Their pumpkin spice latte is delicious, not sludgy or too sweet (like Starbucks), it has just the right amount of sweetness and pumpkin flavor. This place is awesome! Some friends and I stopped by here on our way back to the Bay from Sacramento for a quick coffee break. The decor in here was really nice and it's spacious for people who want to come in here to get some work done. There is a variety of pastries (the usual coffee shop stuff plus one vegan option of banana bread). The flavored syrups are housemade, which is a bonus. We ordered: Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Decaf Latte, and Matcha Latte w/Almond Milk + espresso. My friends have been here before and went out of their way to come back here, so that should say something about their opinion of Journey Coffee. As for myself, I have to say the Matcha Latte was superb! I ordered my drink with absolutely no sweetener so all I could taste was the matcha and a hint of the espresso. That's a rare happening. I'm guessing this is not the preference for most palates as straight up matcha can taste a bit bitter. The matcha starts with a bitter bite but finishes really sweet. I forgot to ask what kind of matcha they use, but this place definitely does it right! Minus one star for charging extra for alternative milk. In this day in age, I don't think coffee shops so be charging extra for that since plant milk has a longer shelf life and more than half the population is actually lactose intolerant anyway. Not nice to charge extra for something that more than half the population would potentially be ordering. Just my opinion anyway. We didn't try any of their food, so I can't speak on that stuff this time but I'll be sure to update if/when I do. read more

Needed a hot cup of coffee to start my day and decided to try something new. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, and I naturally had some questions about the selection here. The barista was patient and very informative and I ended up with the South African latte. It was sweet, creamy and uplifted my morning. We got the breakfast handpie, a coconut cocoa latte, and a strawberry banana smoothie. The breakfast handpie said it had cheddar cheese, which is false, it's American. It tastes very similar to a McDonald's breakfast thing aka not good. Latte is alright, they put just a touch of flavoring per my request, but you can't taste any coffee, it's like flavored milk. It's becoming a ritual to get up on Saturday morning and go study/do homework or work work with the lovely staff at Journey. The vibe is super chill and the space is appropriately designed with the bar as soon as you walk in and the seating area, complete with benches, tables, statement chats, and outlets everywhere, off to the right. The bathrooms are around the corner in a "separate" room but they're easy to find. There is a moderately sized conference room that I'm assuming is for rent. The staff is always pleasant and ready to help me make a choice when I'm still waking up. This morning I had an undertow with a splash of rose essence mixed into it, a wonderful treat. There food service isn't super fast which makes me happy if I'm being honest, when it comes out it's hot all the way through. Not microwave hot. I have come rather fond of their hand pies and savory scones, so good. I look forward to hanging out with them every week. read more

I really used to love this place. I always got the lavender latte and it was my favorite drink to indulge in along with a donut from Donut Queen. Post COVID, the appeal of this place has been completely lost on me. The milk options would vary wildly from location to location, service would be hit and miss, especially when ordering in the app, and wait times would be ridiculous. My signature drink started to taste burnt. Even when I would ask for a remake, it was clear that the simple syrup used to flavor the drink was burnt. I switched to the house brew and even the basic black coffee had an acidis, over brewed aftertaste. It left a metallic taste in my mouth. It's not just my taste buds, normally I would pick up a vanilla latte for the hubs, but he asked me to stop brining him coffee from Journey because he did not like the aftertaste. I enjoy the atmosphere, the employees are genuinely friendly and wonder people, but the coffee is just not good. I would not recommend them as a local place to visit anymore. read more

This has to be one of the most well-known independently owned and operated coffee shops in the Fairfield/Vacaville area and takes me on a "journey" to beautiful Solano County. This is none other than "Journey Coffee". Conveniently located on the right hand side of I-80 (going westbound towards the Bay Area) in a strip mall off of Alamo Dr. & Merchant St. in the heart of Vacaville, this Journey Coffee has been serving up delicious coffee & treats ever since 2013. It is also the first location while opening up two more stores in Fairfield. I came here on the morning of 11/14/2020 before heading across the freeway to do some shopping at the Vacaville Premium Outlets. During my visit, parking wasn't too much of an issue as it was quite spacious. Furthermore, indoor operations were allowed as I was able to order my drink and food item while sitting down at a table; socially distanced of course. The interior layout of this place is very spacious well thought out by separating all of their tables very effectively with the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020/21. Additionally, they have a small area where you can purchase clothing with their business name as well as a cool little wall that reads "You Matter - Journey Coffee Co". Instead of the typical coffee drink, I ended up going chill mode by ordering their "Green Sun Smoothie" (priced at $7.50). This healthy beverage consists of organic spinach, banana, orange, pineapple, greens, and vanilla plant protein. My smoothie was ready within 5 minutes and tasted absolutely delicious. Definitely a big step up of what you'd get at a Jamba Juice or any other big name smoothie shop. During my visit, it was quite busy as many locals or people passing through from Sacramento to the Bay Area enjoy coming here over a Starbucks/Peet's Coffee. I love the wood theme decor as well as the black coffee cups and black chalkboard where the menu is displayed. It is an overall clean, timeless appearance. All in all, I highly suggest visiting "Journey Coffee". They are a unique small business that offers a ton of breakfast & lunch options including avocado toast, paninis, pizza, salads, wraps, and sandwiches. And their beverage department does not disappoint as you can get a variety of hot & cold coffee/espresso drinks, smoothies, & even milkshakes. They even offer a small variety of beer and wine to choose from. With that said and done, I am giving Journey Coffee an above average four-star rating. However the music playing during our visit was a heavy metal screechy genre that I imagine would appeal to a limited few. But this is coming from someone who typically has drinks at 30% sweetness. Service: staff were nice, however, I didn't know my order was ready until I inquired. I like the variety of food and drinks they offer. Pre-covid, I used to get local beer from the tap here and kombucha because I'm not much of a coffee drinker. Their pastries and snacks were always delicious. This was my first time getting a sandwich from there. I had the BLTA. The avocado and other ingredients were delicious, fresh, and the perfect ratio. The sourdough bread was a little too stiff and chewy. But overall, I enjoyed it. Will definitely order this sandwich again or try another. I was a little disappointed at the price. When I glanced at the Yelp menus, sandwiches were $7/$8. The sandwiches now are $12/$13. There was a WiFi password and you are able to use their WiFi for an unlimited amount of time. read more
