Everyone should try this spot for a quick breakfast/lunch. They have fit a surprising amount of seating in the small space, but given the popularity, be prepared to take your food to-go. In case you miss it, they have regular water and sparkling water on tap for free in the back by the kitchen. For a fun coffee treat, I recommend the Cafe de Olla. read more

I've enjoyed the food and coffee here, cozy spot. I'm not sure what to make of this, but the first time I ordered the tacos, the staff brought me out this lovely sauce with a chutney. I didn't ask for it, it was brought to me. It was great to dip the tacos in. So I've asked for it since. No issues. The last time I was in was recently. It was the day after the election plus I had experienced a horrible tragedy in my family. I had tears and runny makeup. It was clear to my friend and others there that I was very sad. I asked for this sauce again. A man came out and was holding the sauce with an iron fist. And I mean, really holding it, and having a power struggle with me about why I wanted it. Have been wanting to try Jonas for a while and finally went late on a Saturday for lunch. As promised, it is very busy. Seating is very limited and everyone is in everyone else's way. We took our order to go. The scotch egg was our favorite. We also tried the breakfast sandwich and tacos. The food was good but overpriced. Everything was fantastic from the service to the food! I've tried coming here before but the line is always too long. I guess since it's a holiday weekend we lucked out. Everything on the menu is influenced by Indian cuisine with a fusion twist. I had the vegetarian breakfast sandwich while my friend had the meat version. They look very similar by there is bacon in the meat version. They were giving samples of the chai which reminded me very much of the chai I've had in India. I was between 4 and 5 stars on this one, leaning 4 due to price and minor disappointment, but 5 due to my faith that other items were better than the kati roll that I ordered. Finally tried Joya's on a Wednesday morning, there was plenty of space and I had time to ask a million questions at the counter. Lovely little rose donut and brown butter rice crispy samples were waiting - always a nice touch. Folks at the counter were helpful and at ease. I settled on a kati roll and the house chai, enjoyed at the long counter at the back. Coming in at $16, this kati roll was filling, with a super flavorful lamb filling, but overall was very dry in the mouth. There was a sprig of cilantro and a slice or two of pickled onion, but it was otherwise a crumbly, fried bread experience. I work awfully hard for my money, and so spending nearly $30 (with tip) for this breakfast felt extremely steep. That being said, I think if I would have followed my heart to the fried chicken sandwich my second thoughts would be gone! read more

Unplanned , my husband and I popped into Joyas for brunch today . Wow - delicious !!! I don't even like lamb but Chef Avishar does such an awesome job with lamb - the Kati roll was soooo good ! (We went to Agni too previously and I had a lamb meatball that was to die for ). We also had the breakfast sandwich Bobby style . And a side of the tots - the aioli sauce is so full of flavor and the tots were perhaps the best ever . So very good . Finding a place to sit could be hit or miss . I have only been here during the farmer's markets, so the line has always been out the door for this place. I'm glad I waited the first time because the drinks have been fantastic throughout the menu. Today was the first day I tried the food, because the astronomical prices usually keep me away. I like to think it's due to premium ingredients, but who knows? I was starving and caved, and the food was delicious, but I don't know if I can justify the food prices. The drink prices are comparable with other coffee places. They are also very considerate of allergies or diet restrictions and ask about them at the register. Even though this place was super busy, all of the staff were super attentive and checked in on me multiple times, I felt very important. There is a water area for people dining and they use steel cups, which is comforting regarding cleanliness. This place will always be my go-to coffee in the area. read more

Probably the best eggs I've had in my life I'm not a huge fan of eggs, so I was really nervous about getting the breakfast sandwich. But it was the most popular item, so I went for it. And I'm so glad I did! This sandwich changed my perspective on eggs and I didn't even need to eat it with ketchup (for those who know me, it's a huge deal.) If I lived in Columbus area this would be my go-to brunch place. Joyas Milk Chai + Breakfast sandwich for about $20, and I have no complaints. I originally ordered a mini sandwich; but they were out and I'm so happy cause I devoured the regular size one. Can't say enough great things about it and this place. It's busssyyy. We didn't know that when we went this morning after a early flight back home, all we want is a relaxing brunch place, but it was very small place and crowded, not a lot of seating and way too much people. Wow, I finally made it to Joya's today and had an amazing experience! It looked so busy when I walked in, but they are super efficient! From time of order to the time I was finishing my Thai tea was probably 40 minutes. I chose the crispy chicken sandwich and was so happy with my decision. The glaze on the chicken was spicy and sweet, and I couldn't have said more about the slaw! And the chili aioli was fantastic. A well-rounded sandwich, something you don't realize you need at the time. I loved this place! I came here with my sister and was super excited to try it, though was skeptical about whether or not it would live up to the hype. It definitely did. The inside is a little small - there are a few tables in the front and bar seating along the counter and back wall. It had a small coffee shop feel to it. The drinks were ok. We got the Thai tea and chai tea - I usually prefer my drinks to be stronger. These mostly tasted like milk. For the food, we wanted to try everything on the menu! But we settled on the Kati roll and breakfast sandwich. Now, I LOVE my Fox and the Snow egg sandwich, but there MIGHT be a new rival in town. (I love both so I can't choose a winner). The bread on the breakfast sandwich was so soft. The egg in this sandwich was more of a scrambled egg consistency- mixed with it the special Joyas sauce and it ended up being the perfect combination. The Kati roll was SO long - it was over a foot long. Inside the fried roll were eggs, beef and another deliciously sweet sauce. I was able to have leftovers for lunch the next day. I will now always be craving the Kati Roll! I've tried a few sandwiches and all have been delicious but OH MAN THE KATI ROLL. The sauces were the star of the show for this sandwich. The bread was soft and fluffy. It was a little smaller than anticipated in size, however, it was packed with flavor. 〰 Joya's Latte (12 oz, $5.75): Latte with sweetened condensed milk. Wow, the sweetened condensed milk added the perfect amount of sweetness and creaminess. Added bonus for the latte design! We went around 12:00 on a Saturday and it was packed. The restaurant itself is pretty small inside. You order at the counter and find an open spot. The seating includes about 2 tables and seating at the bar and along the wall. The prices are certainly higher for a restaurant that is not a traditional sit-down place. However, I would say it was definitely worth it for the fresh, flavorful, and unique dishes. I have not enjoyed a meal like this in a long time. I loved everything we ordered and am so glad I went with another person so I could try a little bit of everything. We knew we would be taking something home so we ate in an order that made the most sense for that. First the breakfast sandwich! The sheer fact that there was a mini option, all stars! Sometimes you just wanna try a bite and not have to fully commit! So glad we did it. The bread. THE BREAD. i loved it so much. Sweet, fluffy, amazing! Next I went to the taco. We opted for the brisket but there are 3 options total. Would totally do the veg option--sweet potatoes and black beans. The brisket wasn't too Smokey, had some sweetness to it, delicious! Melted in your mouth. The shells were so crispy. Everything held together so well. Generous with the lettuce and the cheese, just how I love my tacos. Everything was so balanced! Could've stopped here but was told about the fried rice so obviously we had to get it. The easiest thing to take home of the 3 and it held so well as a snack for later. The blend of flavors, some sweetness, savory and a little spice. Did not try it 'Danny's Way'. I'm a purist when I'm trying new things for the first time. It might've been my favorite dine in meal this year, and even with a few days left to close out the year, I don't think anything will top it. What a great addition to Columbus. Was told that the chef was one of the contestants on top chef and I just knew I had to try it. My first meal by a celeb! The shop's kinda small but man it is packed! Probably all there to check meal prep by someone from top chef, I honestly don't care if he was crowned top chef or not. But I do love the food! I personally love the fried rice best, there's chicken cutlet and bbq pork in there all stir fried to perfection! My sister and I discovered this place after she read reviews. Let me say that we were not disappointed at all. The first thing you noticed was the restaurant was pretty intimate, we looked at the menu while waiting in line and when our turn came we ordered, paid and grabbed some seats at the bar. I heard so much about this place and finally tried it today. My husband and I usually order a few things and share so we get a tasting of a few things. First it was super busy with a line to the door, it's a small place so it has limited seating. We ordered the nitro chai, joyas milk chai, the joyas breakfast sandwich (13) and the Crispy Chicken Manchurian Sandwich (16). It was all very good! The nitro chai is cold, sweet and more spicy. The joyas chai can be hot or cold, we chose hot. It's less sweet and not very spicy in flavor. The Joyas breakfast sandwich was light, not overly filling but very good. $13 seems a little pricey for what it is, but it was good. The crispy chicken Manchurian sandwich was very messy, it seems to have some Korean influence with the cabbage and pickled cucumbers. It was more filling than the joyas sandwich, very tasty but again over priced in my opinion. I think I would have felt better if they offered fries/chips/hash browns with either sandwich. Sooooo goooooooood! As a long time fan of Service Bar, I eagerly awaited the opening of Chef Avishar's new venture. It was worth the wait. It was not terribly busy on a Wednesday morning. The toast in a cup was amazing and the perfect breakfast for a lazy morning. There was so much variety of flavor and texture within one cup - nothing bland and homogenous here! The other thing that impressed me was the compostable cup, compostable utensils, and the reusable cups for water at the self service in the back. I'm not the greenest person, but I try to do my best with recycling, composting, and eliminating single use products in my home as much as possible. It's the wave of the future, and I'm so glad that Joya's is doing its part. read more

I was finally able to try the food after months of trying to get in. Every time we've tried to get some food, they are super busy. The food is really good but WOW - it is not cheap. I had the Double Crunch Tacos with an Ice Chai Tea, and my husband had the Chicken Sandwich with water. That's it. The total was $39 before tip. That is pretty expensive for a lunch. And the portions are not all that significant. My husband was still hungry after he ate his sandwich and the tacos were relatively small. If you're super hungry, you might want to go somewhere else. read more

The only worked I interacted with was the guy behind the counter taking our orders, and he was very delightful and helpful. Our food came out within 10 minutes and was warm. The only thing I have to say negatively is that this space is very small for the amount of people who want to eat there. That's definitely the customer's problem, not the restaurants.
