This place used to be so good, but the quality of the food has gone downhill. The bok choy we ordered was not good, bok choy was old and yellow. The fried rice was just soy sauce slapped with lots of oil. I rather go to Panda Express than come here. this is hideous....

We ordered takeout and the food came out hot and fast. The egg drop soup doesn't taste like the typical soup that I'm used to. This one isn't sweet and has tomatoes. So the soup tasted acidic/savory. The Singapore fried rice noodles dish has a lot of curry powder seasoning. The chicken is cut into very thin chewy slices (almost like chewing on chicken skin texture rather than the actual meat). There's a few shrimps thrown in there. The veggies are crunchy. Portion is huge so you can share it with another person or split it into multiple meals.

Came in with hubby for lunch, on a Saturday, after an eye exam. Not realizing it, we walked in 20 minutes before they actually opened. The guy at the counter was cool about it and welcomed us in. He insisted we sit down and look over their menu. We ordered a variety of plates. Everything came out hot and fresh. My favorite dishes were the pork dish and the eggplant. The green onion pancake appetizer was the perfect starter. Overall style, mood, cleanliness, service and food were solid. I would come again.

When they first opened I came all the time, to the point the servers recognized me. It was always packed with a wait. Everything I had was really good. Over the course of a few years it just wasn't consistent so i didn't come as often. Last night I wanted their hot and sour soup (they call spicy & sour). The restaurant was empty with the exception of 2 tables. We were seated instantly and given water. It was absolutely freezing inside and the front door was wide open on this cold rainy night. A family was at a table nearby dressed in heavy coats with hoods and hats on. My dining partner asked if the door could be shut and the one server on duty said no. They had the the air con on and the door open. We asked if we could move to the other side away from the door and were told that section was closed and we could not. It was uncomfortably cold so we left as did the groups who came in after us. Not sure what's going on, but this was one of my favorite spots in vista and it's sad to see what it's turned into. Maybe I'll check out the Oceanside location again, hopefully they are more accommodating.

Just came after getting pedicures across the street at Aria- so it was about 5:30 pm- server was not as friendly and my friend was a bit put off- but the food was delicious and we enjoyed our dinner - we stayed but before closing we're basically rushed out of the restaurant- as she wanted to close - early which was weird

I am updating and downgrading my review after today's experience (I also noticed I overrated my firsts experience there, it should have been 3 stars since my spicy dumplings were overly salted). I was craving Xiao Long Bao and decided to go to Joyee for a very late lunch. How disappointing... The XLB skin was extremely thick, cracked open on the top (see my photo here: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/joyees-dumpling-house-vista?start=480&select=1jurpathdFtbweTYK4lJsA ). They looked industrial made and frozen XLB. The "soup" in the dumpling was not tasty and almost not present. Very bland, perfectly shaped ball of meat, definitely machine made. How and what were those couple of pieces of thick pink salty ginger? MEH. I would give them 0 stars. Cucumber salad, again, you can't go wrong (I'd add sesame oil in them though). That was most likely my last time at Joyee.

Service is great here they are always very attentive and nice, the food is flavorful I had the wontons with chili oil they are really good and the green scallion pancake is one of the best appetizers to get it's similar to a quesadilla haha but their own version, the food always come out fresh & steaming hot and very fast paced which is great when your starving! This place is really good can't wait to come back

I got the pork and chive dumplings, which are always good. I tried the chicken and corn dumplings which were ok. It was ground chicken with corn kernels. I think it would have been better if the corn was more ground up and there were more spices or something added. The cucumber salad was very very tasty. The beef with brocolli was also ok. I found the beef to be rather fatty tho. Definitely think the chicken is better here. The service is good and they were super nice and let us be there late.

My husband and I were in the shopping center and we decided to try a new restaurant (new years resolution) we ordered a few things thinking we wouldn't be full with one plate. Boy were we wrong ... the waiter was super amazing welcomed us, served us the food and when we saw the portion it was more than what we expected. The food was prepared to order so the flavor was amazing.

This place was pretty good. It's been in my collection for some time. Finally getting to try it was nice. I haven't had dumplings in a long time. My friend Alex enjoyed it as well. The pork soup wonton was a big portion for $12.99. A good size portion for the price. You can share it a few times and can be good for 2-3 people. The scallion pancakes were so delicious and crunchy! The soup dumplings had so much flavor. They do take a bit of time to make. The chicken and corn were yummy as well. The service is efficient. They had a cute mascot statue outside. It was nice, clean, organized inside. I would definitely come back.

The Spanish rice also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and was a little dry.
