Came around 12pm on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. Didn't get a chance to try their coffee, but ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good. Oh to live local so I can return more often! My job has me visiting cities all over SoCal and while I was in the area I decided that a matcha latte sounded perfect. A quick check on Yelp to find what was nearby landed me here at Joyful Noise. After seeing what people recommended, I knew coming in that I needed to try the avocado toast and a scone. The store was "packed", for a tiny place, and certainly seems like somewhere frequented by regulars. Staff was super friendly too. I ordered my hot matcha latte and was given a choice between a barista option which has the matcha powder sweetened, or a ceremonial/traditional that is not sweetened. I opted for unsweetened, because I am trying to reduce sugar where I can. Ironic because I also ordered a scone (I'm sorry I cannot remember the name of it but it had cinnamon and was delicious!) and I ordered the avocado toast that has ricotta, Pico de Gallo, and a balsamic drizzle. I found a seat and waited for my order. To my surprise, the sweet lady at the counter brought the food items straight to me instead of just calling it out at the counter! When my drink was ready I grabbed it and headed out. Let's start with the scone! I had it warmed up and it was tender, "flakey" as a scone can be, and so perfect. It was perfectly sweetened. The avocado toast blew my mind! So much flavor packed into this meal of a toast. The bread...if I could buy a whole loaf of it I would! The bread is thick, soft, and fluffy, with a nice crust on it. It was topped with a layer of ricotta, avocado, Pico de Gallo, cilantro, and finished with balsamic. It sounds like a lot but it was delicious! If you stop here and need a bite to eat, get the toast. Finally, the drink. Admittedly, this was my first time having unsweetened matcha latte, and I think I should order it next time with a pump of vanilla or something. I enjoyed it but my palate isn't ready yet for fully unsweetened matcha and that's OK! But I will be back and I will try it again. It is a good drink and I do recommend it. That was a lengthy review all to say that this place rocks and I highly recommend stopping in for a drink and a snack. I'm excited for my next time in the area so I can stop in again! read more

My wife and I just tried Joyful Noise Coffee for the first time--we loved it! It's on a corner, with large windows down the side and across the front, so it gets a lot of morning light. The inside has a beautiful counter and tile backsplash. Very inviting. I had a coffee and my wife had a caramel latte. Both hot and delicious. We each had a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese (which were perfect), plus we shared a slice of blueberry crumble and coffee cake. Both were delicious, but the blueberry crumble was amazing. And the service was very friendly. There is also patio seating outside. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

First impression was not good. This place was not friendly to me or my kids. We got there at closing, my fault, but maybe some welcoming kindness even so would've been nice. This place felt very "clicky," and that left a terrible first impression. Rather than be pushy that it's closing, ALL are welcome, no matter how late or who you are. Mind you, they close at 4! If I would've known, I wouldn't have purchased anything because I felt uncomfortable to stay another second. Why would I ever check the time of closing, it's 4 o'clock! Again, my fault for not paying attention to the closing time, but when I asked about the food, I was met with a very loud and aggressive reply, "all of our food stopped a while ago," (super obvious point that I don't know it's closing time) so maybe be nice or offer me what you do have available? Oh sorry, I'm not part of the click. Staff is rude, period. It felt like they were kicking us out, even their little click member/customer kept commenting, "it's closed" out loud, not directly to me but loud enough to get the picture that she's saying it to me. When we left, not a goodbye, nothing. I would not have felt inclined to comment had I not been with my sweet children who got second hand horrible treatment that made us feel like outsiders. This should not be happening. It sucks because we don't deserve this type of treatment. Nobody does. So in closing, the food might be good, didn't get to try it, but the customer service is lacking big time if that matters to you, and it should. Maybe come with others so you feel like you're at least accepted by your friends/family and not left feeling like you're not part of the click OR EVEN BETTER, DON'T GO AT ALL. Let's start with my regret and get that out of the way.... Why didn't I take a picture of the Avocado toast I ordered? It was amazing, and I could have shared it with all of you. I live out of the area, actually in Orange County; however, I have learned to include Joyful Noises as part of my journey. Tuesday, 9/2/25, was no exception. They had an abundance of sugar-free syrups, delicious coffee, and seriously the best avocado toast I've had, the sourdough is priceless, avocados were ripe to perfection, seasoned and drizzled with goodness. I felt so welcomed when I arrived, I felt safe, and so incredibly comfortable as I worked. I noticed a father brought his little daughter in for an after-school snack and drink, and the owners were so kind to her. I noticed they were closing at 4, so it didn't give me as much time to work, but I know what its like having responsibilities after 4 pm, like after-school sports, shopping and preparing dinner for your family, so I left right at 4, I mentioned this because to be honest I had a lot on my mind when I arrived, I was stressed out, and being there really helped me find some peace. read more

We had such a great first visit to Joyful Noise Coffee Shop. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like regulars, even though it was our first time there. I think it was the owner who helped us, and he was so kind and attentive. They offer a nice selection of coffee, treats, and even ice cream, which was a fun surprise. We have driven by this place many times and noticed a lot of cars in front including police cars. So we knew we had to check it out and one day after an appointment we stopped by my husband, and I each got an egg sandwich. Mine was on sourdough and his was on an English muffin. They both were very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and it was very filling. We got a vanilla latte and one of their cups. It was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming . Great little coffee spot right off of the McCall exit. I popped in here for a meeting and I'm so glad I did! Lots of hot and cold drink options, delicious savory and sweet food choices and they have a cool little area with scented soaps and coffee beans you can buy. I got an iced coffee and the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich. The coffee was awesome and the only knock against the sandwich is that I didn't order two!! I absolutely love it here! They are my favorite local coffee shop. Ally is super friend and kind-hearted. I generally bring my black lab, Sierra in here and they treat her so well for my to-go orders. Thanks for having dog treats and a water dish outside. They have some nice outdoor seating too!! All their coffee, matcha, chai tea, Smoothie drinks are delicious. They have wonderful pastries and bagels. I wish they had gluten-free options for pastries (maybe, one day). They also have ice cream, which is fantastic for kids and adults on these upcoming hot summer days. A very warm, feels-like-family ambiance from the moment you step inside. The Avocado toast was one of the best I've ever had! The only negative is no bathroom inside you need to head outside snd go a few doors down. That said it was clean and functional. They have TVs on (muted) and country/christian music playing the whole time.
