I don't know about the landscaping side of the business. We went today for the tree farm! EXCELLENT!!! The people were so friendly. Great selections of trees as well as photo opportunities! Also provide hot chocolate, s'mores and letters to santa! They had a Santa that was so nice and great with the kiddos! Definitely a new Christmas tradition. read more

From the moment I called JP from the quick response from the office manager Kappie, to a site visit by the owner JP my estimate and job were handled with pure professionalism! I had several key land cypress that were downed by the recent snow/ice storm. Josh and his crew were able to right and brace all of them, trimmed them beautifully to withstand the snow better, and really fixed everything in very short time. Keep shopping, they are horrible with customers and the work is shoddy. After we signed a contract, they were non responsive/not answering emails nor phone to sett up the appointment for completing the work. When we did ask to cancel the project, they were suddenly responsive and came out within in a few days. They indicated that they had already purchased the trees and were keeping them alive to plant, and we were on the hook for paying for the trees. So, we went forward with the work. A few weeks later, some of the trees died (aside from 4-6 hours/day of watering), and we were not able to get in touch with JP nor the supplier of the trees. We tried calling several times without any response. Finally, the owner did reach out to us (once we emailed him directly), and he argued over the phone with us that the timing of the project put the life of the trees at risk and was pretty nasty over the phone. We ended the call and we are now going to replace the trees and replant them ourselves at an extra expense. Really sad, as we were hoping to do establish a long term relationship with this landscaper to continue improving our yard. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This company, specifically the owner (JP), is very rude. We hired them on a "full maintenance" contract for our home. Up until that point, I had been maintaining the property and our lawn was thriving. I was initially impressed with their service contract. Unlike with other landscaping maintenance companies that I've dealt with in the past, their contract was very detailed (stating what work would be done and when). I even convinced one of my neighbors to contract with them. Over the course of the 15 months that we had them, my lawn went from looking great, to looking horrible. Even when asking the weekly maintenance crew to complete basic things that were clearly listed in the contract, they would always respond that there was no time... to prune, to rake, to trim... They told me that they were monitored via gps which showed how long they were staying at any given property... and that they never had the proper time to do the work. In spring 2014, due to the deteriorating state of my lawn, I contracted them to do a complete lawn restoration. That day was a nightmare. They showed up late (I had to call JP)... which brings me to the main reason we ended our relationship with them that very same day. The owner (JP) was extremely rude to both me and my wife on the phone that day. Yes... rude to my wife as well. This was not my first taste of JP's "excellent customer service"... we had spoken one time earlier in 2013 when we first contracted with them. I had a question about what I felt were discrepancies between his very detailed contract and the services being delivered. Both times he was consistent. Rude. Insolent. Out of the entire crew that he had servicing our property, there was only one person that we liked and felt comfortable speaking with (his property supervisor at the time). To give you a little insight into who the owner is... the property supervisor had just celebrated the birth of his first child just a few days prior to our lawn renovation. He told me that he was given one week off to be with his family and that he would not be there during my lawn renovation. But when communication was breaking down that day between us and the owner, the property supervisor showed up at our house. I asked him why he was there and he stated that the owner called him away from his agreed on family leave with his wife and new baby and was forcing him to be there! Shortly after the lawn renovation day, the property supervisor informed us that he could no longer work for an owner like this and that the owner habitually mistreats employees. This is the kind of person running this company. It would be one thing if my lawn flourished, but it didn't. It became worse under their care (15 months). To get them to do anything other than mowing and blowing was like pulling teeth.. and when they did perform pruning or the like, they used the soft touch of butchers. The lawn renovation that they did was a disaster... additional wasted $$. Our monthly bill was $300 and we are people that never missed a payment. We are also people who like to stay with a company for a long time (at&t cell customers for 17+ years, geico customers for 20+ years, etc..). So if you are a timely-paying, established customer, that doesn't mean anything to JP. Unbelievable. I do not understand how any company with an owner like this can stay in business. We've been to this farm a few times now and always get AMAZING customer service! This family emulates the true meaning of locally owned first-person service! We thank you for you. Beautiful farm and home that you show to ask picking their trees...... and they carry pre-cut and you cut! They also have wreathes, swags, center pieces, trees watering tools, dog chew toys, branch bundles, etc...... all at great prices, and all very healthy and not dried out! read more

Got my Christmas tree at JP Landscape, and couldn't be happier. The customer service was great, the experience of being there was fun, and the tree itself is beautiful and fragrant. The cost was so much cheaper than buying in town, and we made a day of the trip out to the country. It's now 2 weeks after Christmas and we haven't seriously considered taking the tree down - it still is going strong and brightening the house. Definitely going back again! read more

When we hired this company two years ago, the job was done but in our view not completed. There was no Forman onsite to direct the workers so things were done out of sequence and not very well. This affected the finished product. The French drain was good but the other parts were not done to specification. Our biggest issue was that we had asked them to take the fill dirt from digging the French drain, and spread it over the back part of the property where we were trying to build it up. They left it in a massive pile in the back yard. We were told they could not spread it because of the drain field. When we originally got the bid we were very specific about the use of the dirt and were told they could spread it. By hand no tractor, and we were willing to pay, but post project they said they couldn't and was not in our contract. If you use them MAKE SURE you have every single detail covered in that contract. read more
