1 star - Dishonest, Unreliable, and a Total Waste of Time and Money I truly don't understand how this shop has so many good reviews--until I realized Jimmy, the owner, actively asks (or rather begs) customers to leave them. That explains a lot. I brought my car in for a repair because Jimmy said he guarantees all of his work. Not only was the issue not fixed, but when I brought the car back under their so-called warranty/guarantee, it sat untouched for days. Every time I followed up, I was told it was being worked on, tested or just about finished. But when I showed up in person, it was still on the lift, clearly not touched at all. They lied to me repeatedly and wasted so much of my time. In the end, I had to take my car somewhere else and pay again just to get the work done properly. So I'm out all the money I originally paid Jimmy for absolutely nothing. The dishonesty and runaround were shocking, especially given the fake impression the Yelp reviews give. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind, stay far away from J's Auto Garage. Jimmy talks a big game, but the follow-through is nonexistent. read more

This was easily one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've had with a mechanic. It began when I spoke with a technician who told me that if I towed my car to their shop, they could potentially have it diagnosed and fixed by the next day. That gave me confidence, so I paid out of pocket to tow my vehicle over immediately--thinking it would be worked on right away. But once the car arrived and I spoke with the manager, I was told they wouldn't even be able to look at it for another three days--maybe. That was completely different from what I had been told on the phone. Had I known that upfront, I absolutely would have shopped around for a more honest and transparent shop. I expressed my frustration about the timeline and the steep $180 diagnostic fee, and instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the manager said he'd "hook me up" if I left them a 5-star review. In the end, he reduced the diagnostic fee to $100, but it felt less like a gesture of goodwill and more like a bribe. It was clear he was trying to buy a good review rather than earn it with real service. Despite the shady vibe, I went ahead with the repair--$100 for diagnosis, $200 for the fix. Less than 24 hours later, the same issue happened again. When I called the shop, I was told I'd need to pay another $180 just to re-diagnose it. That's unacceptable. If the original repair fails immediately, the shop should stand behind their work--not charge the customer again for what appears to be an unresolved issue. The fact that I was being treated like a new transaction instead of a returning customer with a failed repair says everything about how they do business. Between the bait-and-switch on the repair timeline, the failed fix, the shady offer in exchange for a 5-star review, and the attempt to charge me again for the same problem, this place feels completely untrustworthy. I won't be back--and I recommend anyone reading this look elsewhere for honest, professional service. read more

I did my tint on my new Tesla model 3 at J's auto. The price was so unbeatable compared to other shops. I think it was about $300 difference. They tinted it all the windows including the front and the top. They use ceramic tint. Jimmy was nice enough to drive me and my friend to the golf range while the job is being done. The tint came out looking nice. There was some small bubbles but Justin, the tint guy said it should go away in a day or two. If not, he can redo it. It actually went away in a day and everything looks prefect. The ceramic tint does a good job blocking most UV ray keeping the car cooler and the Tesla doesn't need to use so much power to run the AC. read more
