It's really small size that the shrimp are very small, different from every other time I come to buy. And not good service

Food was good but they must be trying kill off their customers, there was a pound of salt all over my mushrooms, fish and chicken.

    Prospect loc

I usually go to the one in independence but I was close by Prospect , I wanted combo 6 large shrimp and 2 catfish. The whole plate looked disgusting and old. The Shrimps were not large at all. The catfish was thin, dry and hard. Along with barely giving me fries. I paid $15 and they refused to give me back my money along with refusing to remake it and with getting smart at me and tried to gaslight me to say the shrimp was jumbo/large. They are scamming customers over there, what I received today was not $15 worth of a combo I'm use to. I am very disappointed and angry about this.

5 piece legs and thighs and a large mac & cheese
    Brad V.

The fried chicken is to die for!! I loved the amount of crispness to the chicken and the prices are not bad at all. I got the 5 piece thighs and legs and it only costs $4. The downfall to this restaurant was their mac and cheese for me. You can tell in my picture below that the mac and cheese is pretty basic consisting of elbow noodles with a thin coating of cheese on the noodle. I can't even call it a cheese sauce because it was so thin. It felt like they just used Kraft mac & cheese, scratched the butter, and only added half the cheese packet making for a pretty bland side. In the end, J's Fish & Chicken is a great option for anyone craving fried chicken in the KC area. The taste and value of the chicken make for an excellent meal option, however if you are looking for sides to go with your chicken, don't get the mac & cheese and go with a different side.

Swift's Cajun Cuisine Food Truck Review…read more I tried Swift's Cajun Cuisine and ordered the fish with fried rice and shrimp. Unfortunately, the food was just okay for me and not something I'd personally return for. The fried rice was a bit spicy and it actually tasted like it picked up several different flavors from the grill it was cooked on. I also added shrimp after placing my order and was basically charged a dollar a shrimp, I received five shrimp, but honestly, that extra purchase wasn't worth it for me. The chicken was the best part of the meal and was actually pretty good. However, I bought the chicken intending to give it to my daughter, who has a fish allergy. After purchasing it, I asked whether the fish and chicken were fried separately and was told they use the same fryer and peanut oil. That's definitely something I should have asked beforehand, so that part was my mistake. Overall, I didn't really enjoy the meal enough to feel it was worth coming back for. This is just my personal experience and taste but unfortunately, Swift's Cajun Cuisine food truck wasn't a hit for me.

Oysters were as beautiful as they were varied and delicious; jamon iberico de bellota (this was the real deal, by the way) that transported me back to Catalunya; a panko-breaded halibut dish with mashed potatoes and some of the most vibrant collared greens I've ever eaten. EVERYTHING was delivered with such precision and beauty, and the flavors were from another planet. The experience: as good as it gets. Or is a cozy bar with comfy chairs, warm lighting and a full menu more your style? No problem - The Parker Hollow is here, AND it has a terrific menu, too! While I had the fisherman's stew (rich, decadent broth, loaded with seafood goodies - no measly Midwestern "here's your requisite two suffering shrimp" here), maybe seafood isn't your thing. And that's okay, because my husband had the Wagyu beef burger just to ease your concerns, and he said it was absolutely fabulous. Or at least his empty plate did. For dessert we suffered through the orange blossom saffron olive oil cake. You read that right - all of those words belong there, in that order. And by "suffer," I obviously mean our usually pretty chill marriage was tested by Who Would Get the Last Bite. It was that flipping good. And rich, and weird. But it was the perfect compliment to our dinner, as was his drink (I cannot remember what it was called, but it tasted like key lime pie and sunshine). We will definitely be back!

The shrimp were plump and satisfying, especially with the seafood cocktail sauce, which had the perfect kick of horseradish. The hush puppies were a delicious Southern start before moving on to the mains: crispy cod, shrimp salad, and lobster roll. Everything was delicious! My favorites were definitely the shrimp and the crispy cod, with its irresistible crispy coating. The lobster roll was good, but not my favorite--it was generously coated in sauce, which was a little too much for my liking. Overall, though, a great meal and definitely worth trying!
