I've been coming here for about 3 years and always order the same drink -- the strawberry coconut snow at 50% sweet. Unfortunately, the taste has never been consistent. Sometimes it's much sweeter than requested, and other times it barely tastes sweet at all. After giving it so many chances over the years, it's honestly disappointing that the quality hasn't improved. I recently tried Teacup and their drinks have been much more consistent. I was hoping to keep supporting this place, but consistency really matters. read more

I came here with my family for a little time to get out the house. The establishment itself is a smaller spot. The menu itself is super big though. I got a hocus pocus drink that only comes in the large size. You also have to pay extra to even get boba added to your drink. I will say the hocus pocus drink was good at least. My boyfriend got a coffee lovers drink. It tasted nasty and he didn't like it either. However, there is a no refund sign on the wall so we left it. My daughter got a strawberry drink that she did not like. Considering the no refund sign, I just asked if we could switch it out since she didn't like it and I could pay the different for any other drink. But they told me I needed to just order and pay for a whole new drink. So we threw it away. This establishment doesn't seem worth the visit and doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. All the signs and tactics within the menu make it seem like they only want the money. I am perfectly fine not returning. The facility also does not have restrooms for customers and has a whole section of the shop closed off so the guests can't even go near the restroom area. read more

When you first walk in the boba place looks really good with a lot of different flavors. Had to be over 50 different kinds. I got a Pistachio Milk snow (smoothie) with taro and regular boba, my sister had gotten a Matcha Milk snow with taro topping, and we got another drink which was Taro snow with reg boba. When our drinks were ready mine tasted weird? I couldn't describe the weird initial taste I was getting when drinking and thought it was just mine? Until my sister and I tried each other's drinks and it both had the weird aftertaste from both as well as the third drink. I kept thinking of what could the weird taste be compared to and then it hit me. It has the same taste as if you're smelling nail polish remover. We couldn't tell if it is like artificial flavoring?? Or from the boba itself, honestly just not worth going back. We were both super disappointed, we both love boba shops and were in the area because Ross is next door and we saw the boba sign while parking. My son wanted boba for his bday so we came straight after school. He really needed to pee after waiting in the long pickup line and when it was my turn to order, I asked for the key to the restroom. The employee told me that it was for employees only. I asked her where the customers of a liquid-centric business are supposed to go and she told me that we could go across the street to a DIFFERENT food establishment. I had to pay for a water bottle at the next place so that my son could use the restroom. Mind you, I had already paid a CRAZY amount for one regular-sized drink! Who charges 9.33 for a regular boba drink and has the audacity to send us to another shop for a child to pee?!?!?! The gal in front of me asked what flavor one of the bobas were & the lady who worked there shrugged and said "i don't know".. (you would think you know your menu). They advertise various flavors, around 50+ and when we tried to order, they didn't have any of the flavors. Our cashier appeared to be having a miserable day because she was mumbling and when we asked for a regular drink she replied that it only came in larger. When I asked, "we can't order a regular?", she then changed her mind and said "oh yes of course". $21 for two regular size drinks without boba. My spouse order a coffee with chai & it was watered down with zero coffee in it. I ordered a Thai tea that was also watered down and lacked flavor. We have been to this boba spot before, their service and drink has gone downhill drastically. Location is ran by people that lack simple work ethic. The only plus side about this spot is the luscious potho plants. Gorgeous plants and greenery. I've been here a handful of times. My daughter loves the coconut snow. It is refreshing and delicious. The staff is friendly and informative. The reason I only give three stars is because it is horrifically expensive. $10 for a 16 oz coconut snow with pineapple jelly is crazy. I don't know if that's the going rate for boba but it blows my mind that a drink can cost that much. Quick service with tons of flavors to choose from. At one point there had to have been chairs for guests to enjoy sitting, but no more. Prices are higher than competition but milk tea is good! I ordered a Thai milk tea in large with boba and it was about 8.50. It's located in a busy strip mall so perfect for a quick stop while shopping. read more

Like always this place never has regular boba but the real reason behind this terrible experience is the poor customer service. After I politely asked the cashier what other boba flavors they offered, she named 2 then shrugged me off. While I was waiting for my drink I saw a boba I wanted to add in but was caught off guard when the cashier chimed in and literally said "it's a little late for that". The blatant disrespect makes since given their rating. There are plenty of other boba spots in the area with better reviews. I strongly suggest you pick one of those. read more

We are on a recent craving/infatuation with Boba. Sadly, the best part about coming to JT was to remind us of what outstanding Boba could be... and this was not it, for several reasons. The cashier (and possibly the owner) was a bit difficult to understand with her accent. Her demeanor was robotic -- no cheer or pleasantries of any kind; no enthusiastic recommendations; no clarity regarding cost/options. We ordered the large, Taro milk tea with kiwi boba. That came to over $8. Unlike (most) other places, JT's charges $1 extra for the 20-ish different flavored bobas. Moreover, our large drink had less than half of the number of bobas that one normally gets! The worst part of it, though, was how watered down the milk tea actually tasted. While the Taro flavor was accurate/good, the value for this drink was simply too.... diluted. On the plus side, the menu provides for some customization that is unique: you can choose how much ice (75% 50% 25%) and how sweet (75% 50% 25%). We opted for 50% sweetness (which is their default) and requested only 25% ice so we could enjoy more milk tea (50% is again the default) ... Hmmm, maybe that's why the drink was watered down? read more

While the product itself was pretty tasty, overall I wouldn't return unless I was in the area, and even then, I may try something new first. Pros: The space itself is cute. They have many flavors of boba and jellies... there is something for everyone. Service was pretty quick. They have some games towards the back if you want to stay and hangout. They also have a boba challenge.. a HUGE drink and if you finish it (with up to 3 people I believe) you can win a $225 gift card. If you lose though, you owe $75 for your drink. I love that stuff. Cons: Its expensive. I've had comparable drinks for half the price around Phoenix. Especially for its location I found this kind of odd. The drink sizes are huge.. but it was almost excessive. I enjoy lots of food and drink but barely finished a fourth of mine. While lots of selection is good, this place borderlines on too much... it's a bit overwhelming to go through every combination or flavor option. I just want some black milk tea! I ended up with the Assam milk tea which you could only get in a large size... no idea why. It was a little too sweet for me but the flavor was great. I just could barely drink any of it. It's HUGE! My girlfriend got a small cherry and coconut slush with rainbow jellies. The slush is more smoothie but she said the flavor was good. She could barely finish a fourth of hers either though. Just too big! Flavor wise, not a bad option but I'm just not sure I would ever return. read more

This place has gone through some name changes and maybe ownership since opening. They used to do bubble waffles and icecream but now only serve drinks - maybe it's a different business, same location. This is my second favorite boba place in the west valley. They have good milk teas and boba is always chewy and fresh. Their cups change a lot and they could definitely be using more fresh fruit. Nice ambiance and usually empty. read more

Got to try this place out on the weekend, I'm not typically a big boba drinker but I was in the area so thought why not? Tried the matcha tea latte with boba, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! the actual matcha wasn't too sweet which is how I like matcha, it had a nice earthy ness with a smooth consistency and NO Lumps! the boba added a burst of sweetness, I was the only customer at the time, it took about 5 minutes so not too long but might vary if busy, overall I'd highly recommend If your in the area! read more

I hate that they always give me the white bobo, I got it it taste the same to you. For me, it doesn't and this is the second time. First time it's whatever, second time and like can I get just the plain regular bobo. They refuse and told me it taste the same... the point is that I paid for regular bobo not old, use, or similar to what it suppose to be. Boba was good but the milk tea was okay. Got the ube tiger milk tea. Asked for no sweet because I actually prefer the taste of tea but the lady was insistent that it cannot be done. When I got it, it was far too sweet. The service wasn't great. Not the friendliest, the lady acted like my questions was inconveniencing her. This is in between a 2 and 3 for me. More 2.5. It looks like a mom and pop, which I love. All the ingredients and teas looked fresh and there were so many interesting choices that I was excited to try. I went for a classic black milk tea with regular boba, 25% sweet. It was okay. It was still insanely sweet and it just left me a little disappointed. I think this place has so much potential, but they need to work on their ratios. read more

After a quick Google search though, I learned that for the price I paid, I could have bought nearly 18 teabags of this tea. What the flying fuc---! JT Boba, you are way overpriced, homie! We came here because we saw that they had food. Imagine our surprise when we learned that they didn't serve food. Ugh. So really, there's no point coming back. This place is always spotless and feels so clean! Great staff and delicious jobs with so many flavour options. Highly recommend!
