If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is awful and I'm extremely disappointed. Don't be fooled the cheap prices explain why. I got acrylics put on paid $40 for a full set (which did not match what it said online) and within the second day of having them on 2 nails fell off. It has now been 1 week and 3 days and I have no acrylics on at all. The guy completely rushed and put nothing on the nail. This is definitely one of the prettiest and cleanest nail salons I've ever been to. They were extremely helpful and helped me decide which choice of nails I should pick. They had great conversation too it was nothing like some experiences at nail salon with no talking. There are so many options to chose from and they even offer eye lash extensions! This place is very spacious and very neat. The staff seem very nice and knowledgeable of all of the services and are very accommodating. The only thing I don't like is how the pedicures are not always as long as the menu says they will be. A couple weeks ago, I got the hot wax pedicure and it lasted just over 30 minutes (when it was supposed to be 45) and they waited until the end to tell me they didn't have any hot wax to use so I paid extra to get a short regular pedicure. read more

So happy to find this new place , same owners as perfect nails. It is sparkling clean, practically odor free, and relaxing. No pressure, no rushing. no obnoxious crap on the tv, just spa music on low. Nice chairs, wifi, great communication of staff and refreshment options. This place was fantastic! Today was my first time visiting, and I was not disappointed! By far the best salon in Cumberland. I chose the lavender and mint pedicure, along with a gel manicure, and was given the best service and attention I have ever had at a nail salon. Son took great care of me and my nails, making sure to ask my preferences and take extra time with the massages and sugar scrub. The best part may have been the wonderful relaxing neck pillows, a first for me at any salon! I will definitely be going back again soon-- This place is a must! I've been coming to JT nails for over a year. I typically request the same girl but she is no longer there. I went last week and got Tracy and it wasn't the best experience. She was very polite and nice, this is why I will give 3 stars. She filed my nails and they were all crooked, did the dip and filed my nails for so long that the dip powder came off near all my cuticles. I told her I've gotten this color multiple times and this has never happened. Politely she re- did them and then I asked her to file them down more so they were even. She needs more training for sure, if in paying $100 a month to get my nails done I want them to look GOOD. It seems like all the good nails technicians have left and they have all new staff. I hope they train the new techs better and hopefully their services are more consistent. I will probably find a new salon. read more

I would like to share some suggestive feedback. I've been to your salon in Cumberland 4 times. I was only serviced once. All of the 4 times I've went, I was a walk in. Now, your door does say "walk ins welcome". The other 3 times I've went I was turned away. Which is really discouraging. I highly urge you to remove "walk ins welcome" and place "appointment needed". My 1st visit was with Ben, who was phenomenal as to why I continued to try to return. Today when I was turned down for the last time, the young lady did not apologize when I advised her this was the 3rd time they've done this. I have a busy schedule and cannot commit to appointments. Entire pedicure wiped off 4 hours after pedicure. I called immediately, explained the situation and they asked me to come in the next day at 10:30. I went in, asked to speak to a manager and requested a refund for the inconvenience. She admitted that because I had a hot wax pedicure and if it wasn't cleaned properly, that it could wipe off. So, it was their fault. They refused a refund or any compensation for the complete inconvenience. The last two visits, the polish had chipped in the first few days. Unfortunately, three chances is all I have to offer. Will never return and would never recommend due to the unprofessionalism of admitting they were wrong but did nothing to make it right. Unfortunately , I decided to book an appointment for my mother's birthday. I specifically picked a certain service for her. The day before her appointment they called to make sure she was still going to show up. The next day she shows up and they could no longer provide her with the services I had requested (the only reason I booked her appointment here). When I called to ask why they didn't inform me about the issue, the receptionist tried to tell me they ran out of the product right before my mother showed up to her appointment. Hmm my mother's appointment was at 9:30a and they open at 9:30a. So, you're going to tell me that your ran out of the product the same day of her appointment, but she had the first appointment ‍ They were to worried about the appointment getting canceled that they neglected to inform their customer the day before that they could not provide the services that were requested. Instead they gave my mother a service I did not request. Which my mother had no idea what I had requested, so she went with the flow. It wasnt until after her appointment when I spoke with my mother that I found out she did not received the services I had her scheduled for. Talk about effen up a birthday surprise. Once the receptionist realized she got caught lying she decided the next best thing was to say "sorry" and hang the phone up on me. Honestly, it's the lying that will prevent me from returning. I can totally understand that a product can unexpectedly come unavailable, but I will never respect a business that has no issue with lying to their customers. read more

My first experience here was amazing. I took my daughters for their first mani/pedi 2 weeks ago. The staff treated them like princesses and they loved it. I was raving about this place to my friends and even scheduled a next appt. However this experience was horrible. My appt was for 3 which I arrived early for. Total of 40 min wait for someone to take my daughters. i was more than patient and then realized that they were seating adults who came in after us first and adults who's appt were after us first. It seemed like no one wanted to do the children mani/pedi which was causing a hold up for us to be taken care of. Once my daughters finally get seated the vibe was not there. One tech which I'm sure was probably a manager had a stank face the entire time attending to my child. She was very impatient and I caught her a couple time scolding my child. Im sorry but if you offer children services then you should have people who have the patience to deal with 5 year olds. she was rough with my daughter feet and even tho my daughter kept saying ouch she would hush her or ignore her. The other tech kept changing the pink polish for my daughter. My daughter picked out one pink gel color. She changed it for the feet stating the pink was a see through pink and wouldn't look good on the feet. Ok that was understandable. But then she changed the pink on her nails as well. Which now my daughter has two different shades of pink on her hands and feet. And obvious one is darker than the other. Then I went to pay for the service the receptionist asked the tech how much was the price. the tech said $55 each. so I paid for the service. As I'm about the leave the manager (the rude one who attended m my daughter) tells the receptionist for the one she did it was $65. I don't understand how both girls received same service and theres a $10 difference in price considering no design or anything was done. I had them take it out of the $20 tip because with that experience I just wanted to leave. also the one tech was being rude to the receptionist in which they exchange their dislike for one another. I will not be returning my children here. and it is sad to say considering their first experience was amazing. my only suggestion is since you guys offer children services do better in making their experience a good one. they are also paying for the service just like every other adult. read more

i went in today to get my acrylics taken off and dip ombre put on afterwards, the technician Tom was forcefully ripping my nails off causing my longs nail to tear off and I had to ask him to stop and soak my nails in acetone to help, I repeatedly told him it was hurting but he continued to do so. now with short nails I no longer wanted the ombre bc it would not look as good, they tried to convince me to add tips for an extra price. I went home completely dissatisfied and with burning nail beds. Totally disappointment. However the nice lady at the front asked me how it went and I told her and she did apologize to me, however the technician should have apologized to me not her. read more

I have never had a regular manicure (used to get fake nails put on) and I've finally grown my own. I looked at a few ideas ... one was $55 and I wasn't about to spend that much so we decided to do the cat eye gel as well as a regular pedicure. $70 for both and I gave a $20 tip. I don't usually spend too much on myself but I decided to splurge. 4 days later my nails are chipping. I called the salon and asked how long they should last and was told 5 days. However, their website states that THE NEW PRODUCTS APPLY LIKE POLISH AND WEAR FLAWLESSLY FOR 14 DAYS OF HIGH GLOSS SHINE, ODOR FEE, DURABLE, NO DAMAGE TO NAIL BED, RESISTANT TO CHIPPING AND CRACKING. I have to give this place a 3 star rating. My first experience was great. I was trying to find a nail salon that I could use for my wedding nails. Loved how they were able to look at a design and recreate it for me. That was my first time visiting this place. I requested that the same technician be available for my next booking. I also requested the private area as I was bringing a friend to celebrate my wedding and we would both do a mani and pedi. The girl at the front desk said she noted everything and it will be possible. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment there was no record of my booking or the private area and worst of all the technician that I had booked was not available. I was so disappointed as this was a day before I was flying out for my wedding and had no choice to go to another salon. I went ahead and had my nails done and was not pleased with how they came out at all. The lady had no idea how to replicate the design and I showed a bunch of pictures of how it should look. It even chipped two days after. On top of that I received an outrageous bill at the end as the technician was just concerned of adding extra services to what I had asked and explained it was part of the package which it wasn't. I can understand waiting that amount of time if I was a walk in but thats unacceptable if an appointment was scheduled. I will not come back, terrible first impression. Love this place. I've tried most nail places in Lincoln/Cumberland and this one takes the cake! Good color selection, clean, good service. Prices are about average, maybe slightly higher, but I've always walked away with a great gel mani. My only feedback is they get so busy so you really need to make an appointment. I've tried JT Nail Spa on 3 different occasions. The first time I had an appointment for 11 a.m. and people with 11:30 appts. were going in before me...when I asked why?? they said, oh just a few more minutes, I waited 42 minutes and that was with an appointment. The 2nd time was the same thing, not sure if I'm invisible to them...not a happy camper. But the 3rd time was the kicker....I went online on Tuesday and made an appointment for Saturday at 9:30 when they opened. I received a confirmation and a reminder that day of on my phone. Perfect, I thought. I got there 5 minutes before they opened and checked in, but once again saw people skipping by me....I spoke with Jason (owner) and showed him my appointment and confirmation on my phone.........HE says, Oh that site shouldn't be up yet (not my fault) and they WOULD NOT HONOR MY APPT TIME.....he told me to come back around 2:30!!!! Are you kidding? 1 time I can understand, 2nd time not good, 3 times your off my list. Worst customer service any company could give. Someone needs to remind them that "the customer is always right!" Get a call the night before that "it would be best if I could reschedule for another day". When I asked why, I was given the run around and told that they are busy and felt it best to tell me it wouldn't work to keep my two appointment slots for that date. I had been going to this salon for YEARSSSSS. I loved it, always courteous service and loved the little heated neck pads they provided to relax you. Over time as the establishment got busier, I was waiting 15-20-30 min past my appointment time. I had sat in the pedicure chair while the water went cold on multiple occasions. On my last visit, I had my nail tech suggest another color than the one I had chosen. The color/finish we chatted about afterwards was cute and I figured I'd listen to a professionals opinion. Towards the end I realized that the color was not a paint but one of the chrome overlays that is put on the nail with a small eyeshadow pad. It was very pretty but the execution wasn't fantastic (hey, sometimes that happens but no one is looking that close but me), there was little bits of the color placed underneath all the way around the edges. When I went up to pay, my usual $60-$70 total with tip for nails and toes was over $90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was no mention that the color we decided on was a different price or a different method of getting nails done. I expressed my concern at the desk directly to who I believe is the owner, she wasn't budging on my opinion. She ended up walking away leaving me with a receptionist who couldn't assist me in anyway. I sucked it up as to not keep complaining in front of a lobby full of customers, left my name, email and number and asked that someone contact me. Almost instantly after getting in my car I received such a rude toned call from the woman I had expressed my concern to originally. She gave me the run down that "it was what I chose" etc, etc. At this point I was no longer disgruntled but sad that I knew I would never go back as from my original review, you can see that I loved that salon and had been going for a long time. She offered me 10% off my next visit which I declined, fully knowing I would never give my business to them again. She asked "what I wanted" in a rude tone and I mentioned a refund or getting them redone. Hesitantly she offered me to come back the next day to get them redone. I've been going to JTs for over a year and agree mostly with the other reviews in the sense that the place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Other aspects have been mixed for me. Sometimes they're friendly and go a good job but other times, not so much. I don't find the manicurists, including Tina and Jason, to be very friendly. However, last Friday night was the last straw for me. I will not be going back. I made a 6 p.m. appointment and was not served until 6:25 p.m. and that's only because I repeatedly asked why the delay. The young woman at the front desk was useless and unresponsive to my questions about when could I expect to get in for my manicure. I don't think she should be in a customer service role. If, when I checked in, she had said we're running quite a bit late and would you like to reschedule, I would have gladly done so as opposed to waiting for 30 minutes. Communication is the key to good customer service and this place lacks that, big time. In addition, this has happened to me more than once at JTs and there's never an apology and/or explanation. I will say they did give me 20% off and a bottle of lotion, but quite honestly, I would have preferred timely service. read more

Poor customer service and false advertising! I asked for the Organic Lavender & Mint Spa Pedicure which is listed as a 40 minute pedicure which includes a 10 minute hot stone massage per their menu. My entire pedicure was 25 minutes and I had the hot stones passed over each leg for 30 seconds each (never received 10 minutes of massage with even lotion). When I questioned this, I was told my feet were in "great condition" and didn't require the whole 40 minutes and there was no 10 minute hot stone massage because the hot stones are "damaging to the skin if they are used too long". What a joke. I've had hot stone massages done many times before including at this location. I was told there was "nothing they could do for me". I should have received my massage as advertised but they couldn't admit being wrong. Pathetic. The saddest part is the owner wouldn't come talk to me herself and sent another worker who had no idea what she was talking about. Will never return again and will no longer be referring anyone. I would love to say that my recent visit to this spa was pleasant, as it is a lovely place, but it was downhill from the word go. My daughter attempted to make noon appointments for both of us, days in advance, but was told they could only accommodate us at 11:30. When we showed up on time that day, we waited for 15 minutes before they took us. They started on my daughter's pedicure while I sat next to her and waited for 30 minutes, when I finally complained they got someone to start on me. By that point my daughter's pedicure was done and they had moved on to her manicure (which thankfully I was not having done). My pedicure was very good, but unfortunately my daughter, who had a formal to go to, was stuck waiting for me because they had started me way past our appointed time, and I might add way beyond the noon appointment she had originally asked for. When departing, I told the front desk that to be expected to wait 45 minutes for a pedicure was not acceptable, nobody cared and I was met with blank stares. My pedicure has remained nice, my daughter's manicure, on the other hand, completely peeled off in a few days and she said her pedicure was also not up to the standard I received. I would like to share an unpleasant experience that I had at my first visit to JT Nail Salon in Seabra Plaza. Two weeks ago I went in for a Gel Manicure, unknowing to me the female owner, was my manicurist. During the 30 minute session, she left me 2 times and was also approached by staff 2 times, she certainly was not giving me her attention. When she said I was finished, I brought to her attention that two nails had an uneven area. No problem she filed and it was all set, she sent me up to front desk and as I felt the ridge of all my nails, they were rough and jagged, the girl asked how my experience was and I had her feel my nails and I asked if this is how I should be leaving after a manicure? She said obviously NO, and got the tech, she didn't even take me back to a chair or away from the desk, she pulled by hand over the front desk counter and filed or buffed each nail over all the papers and etc on the desk, my buffer should have already been thrown out so who knows where this buffer came from. After filing my other hand she said , that good, that good, which were the only words that were said to me. Not, oh I apologize, is it to your liking now? NOTHING!!! I paid and left very displeased. Now Two weeks later the skin around my nails is peeling and shredding around my nail beds, tender and not attractive. I went to the salon to give Tina the opportunity to hear my complaints and make it right by refunding my money, after a lengthy discussion, she did not agree to refund me, salon policy per her, is two weeks after an appointment can't be refunded, even though this shredding of my skin just started this weekend. I am posting pictures below so you can make your own opinion on if you would want to go to this Salon, and if you choose to, know that if you have a problem you will receive no accountability.
