This place has the freshest bagels. They are soft and thick. Lots of interesting options but always has the favorites. The only downfall to this place is that there is always a line on the weekend but I think that speaks to their quality more than anything. Although better bagels are to be had on Long Island, for instance, JT's is probably the best bagel place in Ocean County. They make them fresh out of the oven, and not from frozen dough, as they do at Manhattan Bagel. They make each bagel sandwich to order, as you would like it. They are also located not far off the parkway, so there isn't too much traffic to get there. It's great for meeting people from different places for breakfast on the weekends. Omg, omg, omg... the saving grace of bagel establishments in the Lacey-Forked River area!!! Thank GOODNESS for JT's Bagel Hut. I'm spoiled having lived in a predominantly Jewish area, with amazing bagel shops, so naturally I was ecstatic to find JT's. Disappointed that I didn't arrive early enough to get a French Toast bagel, but lucked out and was able to leave with a Cinnamon Crunch. SO delish! The one negative I have to say, is that their sandwiches are made in a fast-food type fashion, to accommodate the breakfast rush. The fixings (eggs, choice of breakfast meats) are precooked on the griddle, and kept in a warmer to assemble as they're being ordered, then they're topped with cheese and put through a toaster to melt the cheese. Thankfully, I ordered egg whites, so they were made fresh. (I'm assuming they're not ordered enough to be kept pre-made.) Either way, I look forward to returning here, 10/10! read more

Luckily, I live more than 100 miles from this incredible bagel shop.....otherwise I would be there everyday indulging in their specialty bagels. My sister lives down the road and we always stop here when we visit. Two of their bagels are standouts: Swiss cheese bagel: fresh & pillowy soft on the inside with a lovely golden brown melted/crunchy Swiss cheese crust on the outside. Amazing!!! I love it with Taylor ham and egg! French toast: As mentioned by other reviewers, this bagel is sublime. On the inside, it is a delicately sweet cinnamon swirl bagel, on the outside it is lightly brushed with maple syrup, dusted with powdered sugar and sprinkled with turbinado sugar......so you get this sweet, sticky, crunchy party in your mouth. Oh my goodness. If I had to choose one word to describe JT's Bagel Hut it would be "wow". This is hands down the best bagel place I've ever been to. I've read a lot of great reviews on Yelp about JT's and my family and I decided to check it out. I'm so glad we did. After scoping out the fantastic selection of bagels, I decided to go breakfast crazy. I ordered a Taylor ham egg and cheese on a Swiss bagel, a cinnamon crunch bagel, and their famous French toast bagel. I'm beyond full right now but it was all worth it. I also got a cup of maple raisin walnut cream cheese. This went perfectly with the cinnamon crunch bagel and the French toast bagel. Overall, as I mentioned, this is the best bagel place I've ever been to. The bagels were soft and chewy on the inside with a wonderful crunch on the outside. This will be my new go-to bagel place when I'm down the shore. I wish I could give it more stars but this gets a five for sure. I highly, highly, highly recommend it., read more

The best bagels in Lacey Township! JTs has been my families go to for years. For less than $3 I get my hands on a well prepared, fresh, bagel. Although I typically stick to an Everything Bagel or cinnamon Raisin bagel with Cream Cheese; I have never gotten anything from here I have disliked. My friends and family seem to enjoy their breakfast sandwiches and other dishes. JTs serves Green Mountain Coffee. It is often fresh and they are always refilling and switching the URNs. With that they also have coolers of various milk, tea, and soda beverages. Special shout out to the JTs staff. I have never had an unpleasant interaction whether its 630am on my way to work or a weekend afternoon. I hesitantly stopped by at about 5 minutes to closing this past Sunday and a woman who was cleaning up waved my friend and I inside. These bagels are fluffy and thick rather then dense. Normally if put in baggies after they cool yes most of the times they are still warm when you get them. These will stay fresh and not get hard for approximately 3 to 4 days. read more

Quick, efficient, lots of bagels to choose from, including a PIZZA bagel (that had the cheese and sauce baked into it) or cheddar or even diverse cinnamon (with cinnamon ALL OVER IT, not baked in), and others. Since this was Jersey, I had to get me some pork roll. So pork roll, egg and cheese. Yes please. They were super quick, and the eggs are grilled, which is a plus (not microwaves). The bagels were kind of big and fluffy, more like a roll than a bagel. I like the fact that they have a bunch of different flavors, but it just didn't feel like a real bagel. I also wasn't a huge fan of the ala carte ordering system. I'd prefer just to order a sandwich without having to calculate prices in the early morning hours. It seems JT's Bagel Hut is a popular location, especially the morning hours (That's a good sign), their service is speedy and friendly. It's a small location with limited seating; you have a refrigerated section with lox, cream cheese and other varieties. The bagels are not expensive, and they are not dense, which is something I enjoy. Their bagels have a lighter weight to them, they are not tough or chewy, neither doughy. I compliment their choice of not being shy to add flavor and intensity to their bagels. I especially enjoyed their version of an Everything Bagel -the added oregano is a nice flavor! At other restaurants, sometimes everything bagels do not have enough of 'everything', sometimes all the ingredients fall off. However, JT's Bagel Hut makes sure to add a good amount of ingredients to each bagel, so you can taste what you're getting and paying. They have many varieties of bagels, some of which I remember are your typical bagels, along with their own creations such as Cinnamon Sugar bagels, French Toast bagels, Pizza bagels, Sundried Tomato and Swiss Cheese bagel. I would go back to this location, not only in support of a small business, but because their service and food is excellent. They have plenty of coffee choices too, as well as a nice selection of juices. The sitting area is convenient and clean especially given the high volume of patrons. If you are passing by the Forked River exit, get off and its less than a mile straight off the parkway - better than rest stop offerings! Especially enjoyed while sitting on the beach. Everybody knows jts bagel hut has the best bagels in town, and personally they are the best bagels I've had anywhere. A great selection of bagels, breakfast meats, and cream cheeses. Everything is always fresh and consistent. The prices are very fair. The icing on the cake for me is the fact they have GREAT coffee too, it seals the deal on a perfect breakfast experience. The staff is very friendly and coordinated, customers are in and out with a large crowd at the same rate they are when it's a small crowd. The kitchen staff is very consistent with preparing the food and they always make sure customers leave with the right orders, just how they ordered it. The only thing I think there is room for improvement on at JTs is the size of the establishment. It can get a little crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
