Always on our top for rotisserie chicken and potato salad. We ordered the two whole chickens and one extra large potato salad special. No tortillas so they gave us extra salsa. All for under $40. Parking is sometimes tight here.

Fun Facts About Founder: In January, 1984, Albert Okura opened the first Juan Pollo in Ontario, California. His brother-in-law, Armando Parra, helped to develop the initial rotisserie chicken recipe deriving back from his roots in Chihuahua, Mexico. Juan Pollo Mission Statement: We believe that the most important interactions happen across the dinner table with the people we cherish most. Our dedication revolves around three main aspects of life: 1) Food not only nourishes our bodies, it reminds us of who we are, and where we come from. Nothing brings us closer than sharing great food. 2) Family is the most important aspect of life. The meals we provide and share with our families should bring us happiness and joy. 3) Fiestas allow us to share the joys of life with the people we care for most. This is what makes life worth living. =========================== Juan Pollo Promo: Currently, they have a 2 chicken deal for $23.99 that includes tortillas and salsa. The last day for the deal is 10/31/2025. Credit Cards: Credit cards are accepted, but there is a surcharge. Restrooms: No restroom available at the shop. Visitation Rights: Been to this location once, but I've patronized the east la location in the past. Location/Parking: Located on the SE corner of Olympic and Garfield. Parking can be found in the shared lot or either on Olympic or Garfield. Ambiance/Decor: Small shop with some modern furnishings. Service: Service was very good. The staffer behind the register was patient and attentive. My food didn't take long to be ready. Food Of Choice: I got the 2 chicken deal that came with tortillas and salsa. Chicken was quite delicious. It was tender, juicy, and quite flavorful. Literally, fell off the bone. :) Juan Pollo For Thought: Would definitely come back for the chicken and try their potato salad.

Best tasting chicken in town. The moistness and texture and the flavor can't be beat. Sorry Elpollo Loco...Not Sorry.

We got chicken today. I noticed that they do run out of chickens. They're saying when I ordered there's only like six chickens left. I don't know why this place always runs out of chicken.

The service was impeccable--everyone was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special. We had to get the Michelada Oysters again because I had been craving them since our last visit. They were just as amazing as I remembered--fresh, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addicting. For Dine LA, I started with the Tostada Campechana, which was like an elevated ceviche with scallops, tuna, yellowtail, avocado, and a citrus sesame sauce. Everything tasted super fresh and the citrus gave it the perfect balance. The Bone Marrow Mole was rich, flavorful, and came with a generous portion and toast. For my main course, I had the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly--tender, well-seasoned, and delicious with the green sauce. The homemade tortillas were amazing too. We ended with the Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta, and it was the perfect finish--creamy, smooth, not overly sweet, and so good we practically cleaned the plate. Amazing food, great portions, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service. Ka'teen definitely delivered. I would absolutely come back again.

The restaurant itself looked super nice, beautiful interior and a huge bar in the middle. Some tables were in outdoor patio area too. The menu had bunch of small and large plates, alongside lots alcoholic and N/A drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail that almost tested like a smoothie. The fried calamari, corn, empanadas, short rib tostada and chicken taco, all were good dishes but none of them were mind blowing. Prices were mostly fair. The service was really good. Our server did a wonderful job. All the dishes came out in short intervals. Overall a good location to have relaxing dining experience with friends and family.

While I am by no means a connoisseur of Oaxacan food, I am perplexed at the number of reviews raving about this restaurant. It's fine, there nothing wrong with the food, but I, personally, don't think it's rave worthy. I've been here 2x now. I'll come back to a place especially when it's on a "best of" list and I wasn't impressed. I always think it may have just been a bad day or perhaps I didn't order well.
