So we wanted to try the upland location on the weekend, I ordered the Menudo and my wife had chicken ha diabla. We had to ask for chips or they won't bring them. She brought my menudo first and she was walking towards our table I could smell the menudo, it smelled like poop from the animal. She put it in front of me and I almost gagged, and I have a strong stomach but that was gross. So I told her to take it back and just get me an egg breakfast. She didn't HESITATE for a second because she was probably gagging the whole way. Came on Mothers Day and the service was absolutely terrible. First they sat us at a table that was way too small (squished in the corner) and the speakers were right in our ears. When we asked to move, the waitress gave us attitude. Thankfully the second table was better but that's the only compliment I have. After receiving our drinks, the waitress never came back to check in on us nor did we ever get a single refill on any of them! Brunch also offers mimosas and we were the only table that was not given the option for any. We saw others getting some but we were never offered Not once did we see our waitress after getting our first drinks. Not to mention the ridiculous price! Been coming to juanchos for years, originally in the Ontario location which my family loved. We came today 2/4/24, put our name on the list. A family came in way after us and got seated right away. We got skipped, they came up and said a table for us was going to pop up right away after realizing we got skipped. We ended up just leaving. Food is great here, this was our first time here on Sunday for brunch, the bill was 32.00 each, and we found out at the end when we paid, we were here on a Saturday before and it was 15.00 dollars each, we paid 32 this Sunday but they didn't offer important Information like the mimosas are part of the price, we ordered water, the waiter did not say that the mimosas were free. We were so upset that we paid that much for brunch, so the lesson here is, if its your first time, mimosas are part of the price, and they should put a sign somewhere that says that information. Found this little gem by accidentwhen looking for a place to have dinner and what a great accident it was. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted and seated. There are booths and tables with plenty of seating, TVs, and a bar area. We got the Molcajete and the sopes plate. There is complimentary chips and salsa served while you wait for your food. The Molcajete is big enough to serve 2-3 people. It is served with 2 plates of rice/beans/tortillas and has asada, chicken, cactus, shrimp, and barbacoa in the Molcajete. Everything was savory and seasoned well. This is definitely a must try dish. The sopes plate came with 2 sopes, rice, and beans. The masa was perfectly cooked, and slightly crispy allowing the beans and meat to hold well without getting soggy or falling apart. The asada was also flavored well. Service was excellent. Pastor from the taco lady was the best meat. Asada from the taco lady was good. Pollo from the taco lady sucked. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno. I ate only a quarter of it due to health reasons and lets just say how can you go wrong with bacon & jalapeno? Chile/Salsa - I went straight for the spicy-est out of habit and hubris to handle ghost peppers on the fly. Ok... The spiciest has a kick. Do not underestimate. Birria only the meat. Bit moist than expected. Pulled or Braised Beef is nice, and tender. I eventually ate my tacos with this meat. Veggies/Salad was crispy, fresh, clean and juicy. They provided fresh veggies of the standard sorts and I'm thinking it's cause no one eats them. Fruit - The best, freshest fruit of any buffet I came across. The options were limited, but the cantaloupes and pineapples were succulent, sweet, refreshing, and sweet. Would you like a hack??? If no, the move along... If yes, grab some fresh pineapples and add the juices to the salsa/chile. And cut them up into your tacos. They compliment the pollo, asada and pastor very very very well (and your welcome). First let me say I order albondigas soup, only came with 2 meatballs, they said that a bowl only come with 2 but they gave me another soup on the house very grateful. I ordered an additional 2 burritos, 1 chili verde no beans or rice with cheese wet with green sauce the other carne asada all meat with cheese wet with red sauce. This was take out, got home and CV had red sauce and CA had rice and beans with green sauce. They replaced with no questions asked. Got home and my CA wet still had rice and beans, when I went back then the questions started; wasn't you here earlier, where's the other food, we can't just keep replacing and the kicker "where is your recipe". I gave them my recipe, it was replaced be it was smaller with less meat, no cheese or cilantro and onions and not a I'm sorry for the inconvenience. BTW the chili verde pork was tough. They have a variety of fresh salsas too approximately 4!! All of them had great flavor from mild to super hot! Tacos of all kinds: carnitas absolutely terrific Chicken very tasteful, carne asada was delicious, chorizo taco was reported to be a "WOW" Needed another stomach to try all of them. Next time will taste the papa tacos, and the al pastor ones! They have a variety of specials: lunch menus with special prices, brunch, kids eat free on Wednesdays and they have a 4-5 page menu with LOTS of yummy options. To finalize the night Orlando recommended their flan which was outstanding and their churro with ice cream Oh my WORD!!!! Flautas are so crispy and juicy on the inside. Quesadillas don't skimp on the meat. Really, it's "Do you want tortilla with your asada or pollo?" A lot of meat. And my favorite- Mexican pizza! This is located in a small little shopping center in a not so busy part of town. We've driven by it a couple of times and finally decided to give it try this weekend. First of all chips and salsa...Yey! They also offer a brunch on Sunday with mimosas for $23, but we were too late for that although the spread did look nice! We ordered the skillet and the chilaquiles. The food was great and they had generous portions.Their presentation on cast iron skillets is really charming! The second time we had the send the mochjete back as it was delivered to us cold, having to wait even longer to eat and not offered anything while we wait. Now coming for a third time and last chance in hope the food will be good was a waste of a drive and time for us to come in and eat. We ordered the mochjete for dinner. The shrimp that came with the order was smaller than my pinky finger, barely a bite. The beef was over cooked and burnt, while the pork they served us was chunks and hard as a rock to eat and dry.
