The new location looks really nice inside. I ate there twice. The first time I had the carne gusida and it was flavorful and tender. I went back last night and ordered the appetizer sampler so I could get a taste of everything, so disappointed. First of all, came out of the kitchen in two minutes; makes me wonder if it was made in advance. Well it was just a hot mess of assorted unrecognizable appetizers thrown on a plate. Everything was soggy, oily and flavorless. I ate only about a third of what was on the plate. Later that night had a nasty stomach ache (just saying). This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant hands down I woke up this morning thinking about their street tacos I had last night. The restaurant was clean, staff was great and the food was amazing! Salsa is always a good indicator (for my family) on how good the food will be and let's just say we had a lot of salsa . Large menu that included a good variety but didn't stray too far off the authentic path. Can't wait to go back and try one of their many combo plates. My husband had their carne asada and ate every last bite. My son and I loved the off-menu street tacos. First let me say that the new place looks amazing. I used to eat at their other location and always loved their food. So I figured I would give the new location a try. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food or service this time. The waiter barely checked in on us, it seemed like the girl who cleans tables checked on us more than the waiter did. The food just lacked flavor this time like it normally is amazing. The refried beans were unfortunately dry and my enchiladas were burnt and hard. Was not impressed like I was at their old location. Like I stated the food is normally great but this time it was not. The prices have also gone up significantly they used to be priced very reasonable but for 2 people the bills was over $50.00 and we didn't even get drinks just one tea and a water. I would have gotten drinks but for a glass of wine it was close to $9.00 a glass that's crazy! Very disappointing as I used to love to go to their old location. This is just not the same. I got the beef enchiladas plate, it had rice and refried beans on the side for the most part the food was good but the enchiladas were not at the quality I expected they were kind of hard and not that nice soft texture to bite into, and the meat was not as expected being ground beef. I was driving looking for some Mexican food when I came up on this restaurant. We started off with Micheladas... these are the Best ones I've ever had. They are made from the generic Clamato or bloody Mary mix. These will definitely quit your thirst. The food came out with great presentation and was delicious. My first time to visit Juarez and now I'm a total fan , my wife has eaten here with her team before. I ordered the green enchaldas with chicken , came with mex rice and retried beans both were very good. The tomatillo sauce was excellent (not soaked) like many restaurants do + they came with pick de galllo and sour cream. My wife had the trio enchiladas and had the same reaction to the flavors of each , hard to do on the same plate. We ordered a quacamole salad for a appetizer and it was fresh and delicious , warm chips and fresh salsa accompanied the meal + a frozen glass of Pacifico topped it off , my wife had sweet tea (SWEET) might go half n half next time. I popped into Juarez thinking I wanted to try someplace new. It's a nice little place with friendly servers. So I ordered up some nachos thinking quick and easy would be the way to go. I will say the second the plate was put in front of me I knew I was going to be disappointed. For some reason they spread the beans on both side of the chips. Which was great for making them extra soggy. That was the first time in my life I had to eat my nachos with a fork. Every thing about the dish was just sad. No flavor in the beans or cheese. Definitely A-OK in my book. I've been here twice...can't remember what I ordered the first time. Second time, I got the tamale plate (lunch deal, $7.25). The tamale plate comes with three tamales, chile con queso and a ground beef crispy taco with rice and beans. The taco was pretty standard, no real complaints (except there was no cheese!). Queso was decently good as well. The tamales were hit or miss for me. Some bites were pretty tasty (especially when mixed with the queso), whereas others were forgettable. I think I just wasn't crazy about the gravy. On the other hand, one of my dining companions had the tamale plate that came with four tamales and he quite enjoyed it. The beans and rice...eh. They were both pretty bland, especially when compared with the rice and beans from Los Cucos (which are usually pretty enjoyable, in my opinion). The salsa seemed like plain ol' chopped tomatoes from a can with some fresh onion and cilantro. While the fresh strands of cilantro were a welcome addition, it was just ok salsa overall. Chips were pretty good, though, although not really hot and fresh. The food came out promptly and the waiters were quick to refill our drinks. The prices are definitely reasonable for the amount of food, and they have a plethora of lunch deals. The waiter asked from the start if we wanted separate tabs, so there was no issue in splitting the bill. Overall, I'd come back here, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice for Tex-Mex. read more

My husband and I just happened to stop by one night and WOW the food was great! The tortilla on the quesadilla is rich and buttery! My husband had the enchiladas with mole sauce and he was blown away! PJ was our server he was very attentive and very good conversationalist. Got chiles renenos delivered this afternoon. I realize this is not a good item for delivery. That said I think if they opened the vent holes in the container the chiles would fair much better. I also prefer a more gravy type sauce but the flavor and spice level was spot on. The steaming of the peppers and the thin watery sauce wasn't what I was hoping for but it tasted really good. The beans and rice were good as was the guac and pico. They honored my request to put the sauce on the side and I appreciate that so much. I wish they put potatoes in the beef mixture but oh well. On Monday I went to eat dinner with my girlfriend and her mom. As the hostess was sitting my girlfriend and I down while we waited for her mom, the hostess began to tell us about how I was there the day before with another woman. At first we were confused about what she was talking about but she kept repeating herself, telling my girlfriend that I was cheating on her. As dinner went on, that same hostess was making eye contact with my girlfriend while I wasn't looking and shaking her head at me. I've never felt so disrespected and embarrassed in my life. Thankfully, my girlfriend and I had spent that entire day together so we knew she had mistaken me for someone else and there were no issues caused in our relationship. Regardless, this was EXTREMELY inappropriate for this hostess to make accusations like this, especially when she wasn't 100% sure about what she was saying. My appetite was ruined and so was my evening. I've never experienced something like this in my entire life and I've never been so humiliated and angry. We will not be coming back here. There are tons of other Mexican restaurants in the area that don't have employees that will try and destroy random relationships seemingly for fun. read more

Considering the plethora of great tex-mex restaurants around Houston I would say that you can go ahead and skip Juarez. The margaritas tasted like margarita concentrate and a splash of tequila - they were actually hard to drink and a complete turn-off. The salsa and chips were ok, though the chips tasted quite stale. I was really looking forward to the big plate of fajitas that I ordered and imagined they would come out from the kitchen sizzling and filling the room with that delicious fajitaroma! Alas, a dull plate of meat was set in front of me with a random slice of tomato on top. Not very visually appealing or particularly tasty and you're paying the same price as Lupe's or Ninfa's.
