This place is the perfect intimate date night spot. We had such a good time here and our waitress was awesome & super friendly. I will definitely be back. The place itself is Pinterest perfect. I loved the ambiance and dim lighting. My party of 4 had lychee and espresso martinis, followed by mixed drinks. After a couple round of drinks we headed out for a more lively place. This is a place you start or end a fun night out. It's a lowkey chill vibe. If you're looking for something romantic, this is it.

What a find! Beautiful upscale restaurant with a unique menu of creative and delicious choices, and exceptional service. Suzanne, or server explained every item on the menu and was incredibly attentive. Bloody Martini and their take on the Cosmo. The Latka Appetizer was amazing, as were the chicken and eggplant meatballs. Pasta and Seafood mains were all memorable, and the dessert selection is off the charts. Check the menu.

Judy and Harry's is a beautiful gem in Asbury Park worth visiting for a fancier night out or special occasion. Located on a quieter, more residential street, Judy & Harry's is a beautiful beach cottage that will make you feel right at home. There is tons of natural light, gorgeous wooden decor, and a friendly host and wait staff with a stunning view of their pool just outside the dining room. The restaurant feels semi-open concept with some of the dishes having their finishing touches being prepared right in the center of the restaurant. While all the food was incredible, standout dishes include the calamari, orecchiette, and of course the lobster arrabbiata.

My friend and I made a reservation for a Thursday dinner in the dining room at Judy's! We got there a couple minutes early and was led to the bar/lounge area called Harry's where we had to wait for a decent amount of time past our reservation time. The restaurant itself had many open tables available, so we felt as if we were led to Harry's to encourage us to order a drink (which we did). We ordered the focaccia, butternut squash ravioli, chicken parm with potatoes and brussels sprouts, black bass crudo, and chocolate budino. At the table we ordered an espresso martini and a new banana drink they had that day. The focaccia was delicious and we loved the olive oil and dip that came with it. Although the black bass crudo was presented beautifully, the fish itself didn't taste like anything. The butternut squash ravioli came in cute flower shapes but it was a bit bland and pricey considering each individual piece was ~$7 without any meat. The chicken parm came with two sides, but we felt that everything was too salty. For dessert, we had the chocolate budino which was a complex dish with many elements which we overall liked! The service throughout the meal was amazing with several staff members checking in on us and explaining each dish. When one of our servers saw me taking pictures of the food, she even rearranged the dishes on our table to make everything more picturesque. Overall, we probably wouldn't come back but we wouldn't discourage others from visiting and I enjoyed the experience!

Scarpinocc with black truffle and pear. Outrageously delicious.

The service was prompt and attentive, though it did feel a bit rushed at times, as if they were trying to move things along quickly. The drinks were nicely made and enjoyable, clearly showing care in the cocktails themselves. However, the experience would be much more complete with a food menu. Even a small selection of bites would complement the drinks and encourage guests to stay longer. Overall, it's a solid spot with great potential, especially if they expand the offerings beyond cocktails.

Right now they have a tiki theme, however, that's it in my opinion as far as draw to keep going there. The drinks are an overpriced smoke screen for people who want to waste money on a sugary drink. And it goes along with the whole Asbury Park eclectic vibe but most of the drinks have a 5 or more ingredients I never heard of (which is fine) but it waters down the drink. I don't want to have a drink (or pay $15+ for a drink) that tastes like a fruity cup of juice. As far as the limited food suggestions on the menu- only 2 or 3- this is the third time we've been there and they said they were out of food -so then take it off your menu if you can't be consistent!!! We're not just going to keep drinking without anything to eat to go along with it. As far as the service it's inconsistent, when we sat down there was only two of us- The server was very nice but we waited too long for our drinks. A party of 7 came in about 1/2 hour after us and they had their drinks within 5 minutes- that should never be. After one drink we got the check and we left, we are completely scratching it off our list, we will not return there. It does bum me out because it has such potential and there's nothing like it around but I'm not going to visit an establishment where I walk away feeling it was a waste of money.

Walked around & landed on this place. Such a swanky cool kind of new age hipster but also vintage vibe? Lol No idea! But I sure was digging it! The bartender was super sweet in helping me make a decision for dinner, because I wanted to try it ALL. I folded on the Lemony Shrimp & Bean stew (absolutely spectacular and this is coming from someone that doesn't like being or vegetable type soups) the leeks were so yummy but the shrimp was the star, just look at how huge they were. Sliced Flat Iron - SO JUICY. Such flavor! Literally haven't had any steak til this day that could replicate that flavor of the scallion chimichurri and celery root purée. It has been over a year now since I've been here, and I still CRAVE, I'm talking I have full on dreams about having this place again. Can confirm, I AM Homesick.

I loved my bucatini cooked with zucchini and garlic. The cherry on top were the zucchini flowers. This added a nice crunch. Our cocktails were refreshing. My summertime cocktail had cucumber and St. Germain. It was refreshing! Next door to Homesick is Lovesick, an adorable cocktail bar. When down the shore, this is definitely a must try!

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.

Our server, Michael, provided by far the worst service we've ever received. He appeared to be under the influence of something, as he spent long periods simply standing around making odd faces while our table and several others waited and waited for him to acknowledge us. We were left wondering if anyone was going to take care of us. When my husband politely asked about our meal, Michael became rude instead of apologetic or helpful. The food itself had good flavor, but it arrived cold, like it was not served right away, which was disappointing. To end the meal, we ordered a cappuccino, but it was so poorly made that it tasted like nothing but warm milk. It was completely undrinkable. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've always loved Moonstruck. It's been one of my favorite restaurants because of its excellent food and outstanding service. If this is the level of service the new owners are willing to accept, I worry about the restaurant's future. I truly hope management addresses these issues because Moonstruck has always been top notch!

We got the tostadas which was an interesting plate of a couple different things, the nachos which I loved, the ceviche which was ok-not your typical ceviche and bit too spicy for me, the salad which I really liked, camerones which the table liked, the pork tacos which I heard were very spicy, the chicken tacos which were good and the steak which was hands down my favorite and the yuca mash was so yummy and different. For the steak, you can only get it medium rare or well done which I is 2 complete ends of the spectrum. We are medium people, so we ended up getting a medium rare. The sushi is fresh and tasty, we enjoyed the seared scallop appetizer. My sushi (Tiger roll) was magnificent. The Yuzu lobster roll could have had a bit less rice in the roll but was otherwise very enjoyable. The combination of fish in this roll paired very nicely together. Taka has a vast menu with many options from appetizers to specialty sushi options. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic mocktails for those of us not interested in consuming liquor.....the mocktails are fantastic. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars was the staff needs a bit of work on serving. We ordered an appetizer and were also given two additional small plates since we were sharing this item. When we were done with the appetizer our specialty sushi plates were bought out and the same server left the three empty plates from the appetizers on the table instead of removing them. Dessert was absolutely decadent and moist (I omitted the whipped cream since I don't like it) but the shortcake was perfect without it. I look forward to returning to Taka and trying more items on the menu.
