i'm not a person that leaves bad reviews. but the customer service was laughable, specifically from one employee. she had a hello kitty/sanrio bow in her hair, shorter plus sized woman. and she was incredibly rude. i had a pickup order through uber eats, and i'd never been inside the store before, but i'm from jamaica and love juici patties. i come inside, and wait about 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the woman working the pickup area. she was by no means busy, even had enough time to chat with someone in the back of house. so when i finally try to get her attention, she brushes me off, tells me to give her a second when i already gave her 10 minutes. thankfully, her coworker, a nice black gentleman, offered to help when she refused to. i've worked in customer service for more than 10 years, and i've never seen someone so uninterested in doing their job. i hope that's not how she treats everyone. read more

I came here to see what the hype is about, and low and behold, it is just that, hype. First thing that caught my eyes were the prices. For 1 patty and a coco bread i paid almost $9. That is insane!!! This meal used to be the best cheap ways to grab in the neighborhood, guess that's all over now. The service was okay. They had security to keep the line moving steadily, and there were people inside telling you where to order and where to pick up. The ambiance was regular. As far as the food tastes, the coco bread was warm and soft and given to you in the plastic bag as pictured. The patty wasn't anything special to be honest. Again, i only came to see if the hype was real. But living in Brooklyn kinda has you a bit spoiled. Surprisingly as I was headed there my friend mentioned that she was already there and she was able to pick up some patties for me. There was still about a 45 minute wait with the line down the block. She was able to get me the spicy beef patties and coco bread. I wanted to try the chicken but it was sold out. Upon tasting I was like ok not bad but not the best I ever had. The heat was there with the beef but the flavor of the crust was a tinge off for me. Loved the coco bread. It's served warm in a separate plastic bag. I think attempted to visit again on a sunday around 7pm and that was perfect. There was a small line outside with about 4 ppl. We were let inside about 5 minutes later. I was happy to see that they added a shrimp patty to the menu but they were sold out. This this they did have the chicken patty so I finally got to try it. Again not the best but it's good. I prefer the spicy beef. By the time I left there was no one waiting in line. If you do go bring patience with you or go later and hope that the flavor you want is available. I think they chose locations well, because at 2pm on a Monday, it was packed inside. Juici Patties is a to-go only establishment so go prepared to take your treats and go. They have 2 cashiers and 2 kiosks, which helps keep things moving. The menu focuses on one thing and one thing only: patties. Today's menu had mild beef, spicy beef, spicy chicken, and spinach. Naturally, coco bread is also an offering. You can order combos with a drink or patties alone. I ordered 2 a la carte spicy beef patties and stood to the side waiting for my name to be called. Given the number of people inside they did a great job of keeping orders going. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes. Simply put, the patties were amazing. The crust was so buttery and flakey. The beef filling was perfectly seasoned. I swear I could taste the scotch bonnet. I feel confident in saying that these were the best I've had in the neighborhood. The outside was nice and flaky-not dried out. The filling inside is what determines a patty's grade for me and Juici Patties filling was delicious. Well seasoned and perfectly chunky. I hadn't had lunch yet and it was really good. The flakiness of the shell was outstanding very similar flavors to the ones I've had outside of the US, but there's some tiny difference I can't quite put my finger on. I came to Juici Patties after seeing it all over IG and being raved as the best patties coming from Jamaica. The line was short which it almost always never is. I ordered the "quick 6"; 4 spicy beef, one vegetable, and one mild. Now, this will be my review and also including the 4 other people who tried it. Just a resounding "OK". I've been meaning to come to this new Patty place since it's supposed to be direct from Jamaica. Now I understand that it is a chain so it's not a Mom and pop shop however, if the authenticity of the food is better than the local business I'm into trying it out. When I arrived, there was a security guard posted outside of the shop to make sure that there weren't too many people inside the shop and to monitor the line on the outside. Even though it was a weekday, there was still a line outside the shop, but it was fairly quick to get inside. There was also a worker taking orders from people in the line in addition to letting others into the shop to order with a cashier. I chose three spicy beef patties and three spicy chicken. Each Patty was 425 and you have to factor in tax. I've also paid with a credit card so I'm not sure if there was a fee but my total bill was approximately $27. Do not be like me and choose do not print receipt because that's how they make sure that you get your order. I did give them my name and I knew my order number, but I had to explain to the worker that was handing out the bags of food that I didn't have a receipt because i chose the no print option like a fool. It took approximately 5 to 10 minutes for me to get my food, even though it was busy. They had multiple workers, checking receipts and building all the bags. The patties are individually wrapped if you get singles however, if you get more than one of a single type, they will double up the same flavor in one bag. However, everything is labeled and make sure you double check the contents of your bag so that nothing is missing. I did not have this issue. There were also no napkins available because I think they just ran out. Obviously, they are still under growing pains for being a new business and being so popular. I have to say, though the patties themselves are super flaky, and the both the beef and chicken were very well spice and flavorful, and there was a good amount of filling in each Patty. The local Jamaican beef patty places that are based in New York or either lacking in flakiness or lacking in filling or flavor. This place hits all three points so I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to try a very authentic Patty. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. read more
