Was at the library and decided to pick up food for family on my way home. Other half ordered online and I picked up the order. As soon as I walked in the staff asked if I ordered for online pick up. How did you guess? Do I not look like someone who eats alone? lol Son had the pad see ew with chicken (it's obvious this Asian fusion is meant to appeal to the demographic that may not know this isn't a Vietnamese dish - the concept works). I had my usual of the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll. Not bad but not the best I've had so not sure why someone commented it was the best they've had outside Vietnam. I've never left the United States but I can tell you pho lovers 3 makes a better version of the #33 here. Sucks that person's review hyped up my expectations. Parking was easy. Staff is nice. I ate at pho lab 3 years ago so was surprised this place literally opened 3 doors down which is kind of wack. Regardless I don't have any loyalty to either and decided to try this place to see if they're any better. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! This is hands down the best pho I have ever had. The broth had so many layers of flavor and was absolutely delicious. The tendon was so tender it practically melted in my mouth! Everything tasted fresh and perfectly prepared. We both got pho. I got the combo, and my husband got the #14 with rare and well-done meat. Both were fantastic! The Thai tea was SO good too! The restaurant was very clean, the workers were incredibly nice and welcoming, and the service was fast. It bewilders me that two amazing Pho spots can exist in the same city that isn't Westminster/Garden Grove...let alone the same parking lot. But here we are. Pholuscious serves some amazing fusion and traditional eats. Their Pho Dac Biet was delicious. Alot of tendon. The Tai was surprisingly tender and I was disappointed that there wasn't more of it. Came in close to opening on a Monday and it was pretty empty. Perfect time to come and try for my first time. Service was great. Inside was clean. Sprouts come pre-boiled. This may or may not be of concern to you. I know friends from both camps (boiled vs. raw) Broth had a lot of favor. The main reason for 5 stars. Not too oily. Not too salty. Just right. The stone bowl is a nice touch. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but my last spoon of soup was still very warm. I'm a believer. In the mood for late-night pho, we ended up at Pholuscious. There is another pho restaurant in the same plaza so I wonder how they compete! The restaurant was large and very pretty inside. The service was attentive and the menu was large. Prices fair, around $13-15/bowl. We ordered beef and chicken pho, all of which were served in hot stone bowls. Admittedly, I was expecting the soup to arrive boiling but it was just hot. While it did stay hotter than other pho restaurants, it was a bit of a let down. We tried Pholiscious for the first time yesterday. The establishment was clean, including the restrooms. Service team was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated that the servers were attentive and responded to requests quickly. Large parking lot with free parking. Food - We ordered three dishes, shrimp spring rolls, rare steak pho and chicken pad thai. The shrimp spring rolls consisted of three rolls cut in half for six pieces. Ingredients were fresh and the pieces of shrimp were good size and average price. The rare steak pho came out already cooked (no pink), broth was good, good protein portion. We order a side of veg priced at $4, not sure that the potion size and mix warranted the price. We also ordered the pad thai no peanuts due to severe food allergy. The dish came out with peanuts and needed to be sent back. It was re-fired and delivered quickly, however, the noodles were mushy, the sauce was unusually sweet and too much sauce for me personally. Pho bowl prices are slightly under nearby competitors by approximately $2. This restaurant does not offer size selection on bowl size. If we eat here again, we will avoid the thai dishes. read more

When I walked in, they immediately greeted me and said hello and said I could sit wherever I would like they brought over a menu and gave me time to review it. Everybody that worked there was super nice. This is a very casual place inside. I had one or two questions and my waiter. Jonathan was extremely helpful and very nice when the food arrived. I wanted to eat it right away, but it is very hot temperature wise so you have to wait or just blow on each bit of it as you're trying to eat. It is a large portion in my opinion, but so very delicious. The pho was amazing. They gave you a huge side of bean sprouts herbs, greens jalapeños so you could add what you would like to, but I couldn't finish. I took home which it was OK but it's much better to eat there. Update 1/18:26 Pholuscious is the place to go for lunch, dinner, or late night snack. You cannot go wrong if you're out for a late and stop in for a snack of chicken wings and spring rolls. Or something more filling like the variety of Pho or rice plates, etc. they have in their menu. Everything we have ordered here has been excellent. Definitely my favorite pho restaurant. I used to be a fan of Pho 101, but this place is now my #1. The food is delicious, they're open late & the service is always great! I always order #12, well done brisket. My boyfriend always gets #8, build your own. The broth is savory, the meat tastes good, it's nice, thin, tender and lean. It's not as fatty as other places, which is a plus for me. The veggies are fresh, the vinegar onions are actually good and yummy. They have all the sauces you need, including the chili oil. The stone pot maintains the broth nice and warm. There's plenty of tables/seats. All the workers are nice & friendly. Shout out to John, he always helps us out. This pho restaurant is 2 doors down from Pho Lab but this location is ideal bc it's in the same minimall w Walmart so both restaurants are doing really well w the WM shoppers. This was my 2nd time so I'm sure my review is accurate. It was a very cold and windy day, I walked in to buy some take outs but it looked festive bc the New Year vibes were still in the air so I decided to dine in, it was a mistake as we had the last table right by the door and it felt like I was in an igloo. They had a huge banner advertising their pho was only $13 next to Pho Lab I think was $17, furthermore they had this new gimmick pho in a metal type container supposedly it kept the pho hot but let me tell you, it did nothing, the pho was lukewarm to start and the wind from people getting in and out made the pho cold in no time. The broth was bland and sweet to me, It did not have enough bone and I was shocked they had the pho noodle from China, not the fresh one as in 80% of the Pho restos nowadays, I usually walked out bc I refused to eat factory noodles they crumbled and turned sour bc of the chemicals they used to bleach the noodles after I learned about all the chemicals from my trip to China. The shaken beef called Lomo saltado bc they imitated the green sauce from the Peruvian cuisine but failed, it tasted Ok but a little sweet w cilantro mixed in. It came out so fast I suspected it was precooked as it was also only lukewarm, my husband was impressed so I let him eat it as the filet was not very tender. Everybody was very young and energetic, the customer service was wonderful but I thought they lacked culinary experience. I'm a news freak so do not join any local community forum, I was shocked my husband told me many Americans are very upset there were too many Pho restaurants taking over all over town, it's ridiculous 2 pho restos in the same mall and every other block there are more taking over all the out of business restos. I can count on my fingers the few restaurants serving American cuisine. People are even furious the Recess Room went out of business and Pho Hanoi is coming very soon, I'm looking forward to it bc I read they were famous in San Jose even though temporarily I'm PHO-OUT!!! LOL!! I'm craving Chinese food but there are so few Chinese restaurants in Orange County. The second time, we did a call in order and it was utterly disappointing. The broth was oddly sweet and tasted Americanized. There's so many other pho places that have better broth. The toppings for the pho like the basil looked like it was already picked by other people. It was just the stems...basically we just got the leftovers. The garlic noodles we ordered had raw onions and barely cooked bell peppers, while the meat was overcooked. We have been going to Pholuscious now for over a year and have eaten there countless times. I have not been disappointed once by their food quality or attention to detail. We typically order the rib bone pho, egg roles, brisket pho to name a few items. Overall they always say good by to you when you leave and hello to you when you arrive. The ambience in the restaurant is really good. Most people in my opinion seem to enjoy eating here. The trick is to arrive between 8-9 pm it's a time before it's crazy busy and after it's busy. I was in the area again, visiting my friend before she went back home out of the country. We had an impromptu lunch and I took her to a pho place. I figured this would be an opportunity for her to have some authentic pho before going back to Europe. Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! It's located in the same center as Walmart so there is plenty of parking available and several other nearby restaurants. Interestingly, there was another pho restaurant in the same center. I learned from our server that the other restaurant opened up about four years ago and this place just opened up a little over a year ago. It was spacious and clean inside the restaurant and welcoming. A nice perk was that the pho is served in a stone pot, which I have not had the opportunity to try yet until today. We both enjoyed our bowls and I nearly slurped up all the broth. I really loved and appreciate that the broth stayed hot until the very end. Our servers were very kind and attentive and checked on us a couple times. Extra bonus points for my friend's to go request of bringing home her leftovers since she cannot eat a lot.
