My group had an absolutely incredible experience at Julia's! The friendly service alone was worth the drive from Chapin. The schnitzel was amazing, chocolate cake was moist and delicious but not overly sweet like most cake. Very authentic german food, beer, and vibes. We will be coming back very soon!

Tried out a new (to us) restaurant today. We love German food and it's been a minute. We tried the remoulade with spaetzle and red cabbage, and the jagerschnitzel with German potato salad. It came with a delicious salad of green beans, shredded slaw and beets and a delicious crusty roll. It was really good! We split the plates in half but one would have been plenty for the two of us. Great service. Family run.

Veal Jaeger schnitzel and potatoes with a Warsteiner.

A Warsteiner and a Veal Jaeger Schnitzel took me back to Germany after being away for over a year! My server was nice and prompt with my drink, salad, bread, and then the main meal! The restaurant lets you connect back to the German experience with the decor, and this has been a breath of fresh air while I am in Colombia! It is a must stop when you are in town!

You have to come here if you're ever in the Columbia area. A true German staple. Sad to have moved away but will always return when I visit

Finally being able to visit again! It took several years for me to come back for a second visit but it was just as great as the first. Greeted immediately walking in by friendly & helpful staff. I chose to sit at my perferred location which was of course the bar. I noticed no matter who came through their doors everyone was always acknowledged & greeted, even from behind the bar if the wait staff was busy running food or with tables. The waitress patiently waited for me to figure out what I wanted and when I couldn't decide, she helped me choose from several combo options as I wanted to taste it all! Thank you. First, the Potato Pancakes & Applesauce because I had them the 1st visit and they did not disappoint this time either. Second, a combo of brats with red cabbage. Magnificent, my hats off to the chef! I had never had red cabbage before and I can't fully describe the flavor but I am so glad I tried it. The 3 different bratwursts all had their own unique flavors. And lastly, I just had to try some dessert when I saw the Strawberry & Pistachio cake. I love the combination of flavors! I would have liked to have seen a fresh strawberry on there and a little more Pistachio cream but it was still very good. I was also able to meet Jerry, Julia's son. He graciously allowed me to try a sample of what will absolutely be my next dish to order! A schnitzel with mushroom gravy, red cabbage, & potato salad. Putting all of these items together in one bite is soooo good! Thank you! I definitely recommend for everyone to try out Julia's if you never have. Try to come when they first open before the crowds come in to get the full experience :)

Open faced Reuben with German potato salad

German restaurant with friendly staff and Homestyle vibe located off Clemson road. Menu offers an array of German classics from schnitzel, reuben, spatzel, herring, and goulash. Portions run large so my guest and self opted to split the Reuben. Unlike others Julia's served hers with a tasty cheese sauce. Sandwich came served with choice of side, tonight we picked the German potato salad. The corned beef was moist and tender and the sauerkraut was perfectly seasoned. The German potato salad was served cold although a bit too vinegary for my liking. Save room for dessert as Julia's always has an array of daily offerings.

This spacious German eatery is great in satisfying your Schnitzel cravings. We had the sample platter, the White Jager schnitzel and the Jager schnitzel, along with Sauerkraut, potato salad. The sample platter came with some wurst which great and a pretzel and schnitzel fingers. The pretzel and schnitzel fingers were ok, what I did like about the pretzel however was it light and not too chewy. The main star of the show is the schnitzel I order the senior plate which was the perfect amount and you still get a side. Thr schnitzel were cooked to perfection and the sauces they had were great. I really enjoyed the potato salad and how it was seasoned. The sauerkraut had more of a sweeter taste, which was different for for me. Lastly we ordered the bread pudding, which was suppose to be almond apple. But it lacked both of those major flavors. It contained many raisins which I took away from those flavors. I would come back ere again as the staff is very nice and their schnitzel is great.

The home potatoes, red cabbage and schnitzel were amazing. I would recommend them. We had a crowd of 4 and everyone enjoyed themselves.

I've not been to Villa Europa in 30 years. I learned recently that they are having some economic…read moredifficulties, and I wanted to visit. My late maternal Grandmother took several of us there when she closed on her home many years ago and I remember a very pleasant experience. The spot is stuck time and represents the glory days of South Augusta. It still smells and looks the same. We started with the Bavarian Fritters. They were so scrumptious. I love the apple sauce with which they are served. I had the pork schnitzel with Spätzle for my entree. It was delicious. They have outdoor dining and a large dining room. Our service was great and we had an excellent turnaround time on our food and orders. I took a slice of German Chocolate Cake home. Parking is free and ample. Come support this longstanding Augusta institution that has been around for 50 years. I'd recommend some updates from an infrastructure standpoint on their end to really improve the experience but otherwise we had a great experience.

I am revisiting my review of this iconic Augusta restaurant. We visited on a Wednesday evening and…read morethere were only a few folks there although our wonderful server told us it had been busier earlier. This restaurant has been here for 40 years and I fear she is on her last legs. Villa Europe is like a grand dame of yesterday in a shabby mink and run down heels. The wallpaper is torn her and there, the carpet is a bit worn and things just look old yet it is still cozy and somehow elegant. My daughter lamented that they "don't make restaurants like this anymore". Our waited predicted that the place would most like close by June. He said the building is too costly to maintain. It's a shame because this is our go to for German cuisine after having some negative experiences at the other German restaurant in the area. We did notice that they are no longer selling alcohol but fo offer some alternative options. As we always do we had German fare although Italian and American are offered. My daughter chose the braised pork with a mushroom cream sauce served with spaetzle and german potato salad. She declared it very tender and tasty. I had my perennial favorite Jaeger schnitzel with brown mushroom gravy and roasted red potatoes. I also had a nice side salad with excellent blue cheese dressing. Mom got the sampler platter with home fries and had to carry half home with her. Over all everything tasted great and the service was top notch. I hope to make it back before the doors close for ever. If you've ever enjoyed a meal there, or you are looking for superior German cuisine give Villa Europa a visit before the doors are closed forever on this Augusta tradition.
