The food was very good. However, the owner or manager was very rude to a family member of mine. Upon finishing the meal and asking how it was, the male running the restaurant told a female family member of mine "you talk to me when I speak to you". It's a little restaurant in the old neighborhood where I used to live. The original convenience store/kitchen restaurant was right next door across the street. The food is awesome. If you're looking for a great original, homemade Tex-Mex food then you need to try Julio's. Everything is great. It's awesome from breakfast to lunch They're steak tacos are the bomb. Especially there carne guisada chalupa's crispy tacos. Everything in the menu is good you can't go wrong with anything especially their hot sauce. I would go bye two, three times a week after school when I would pick up my boys from school there at Los Encinos Elementary school when they were little. They always wanted Julios famous hamburgers I don't live in the area anymore. I moved away years ago, but I do go by from time to time and especially to buy some of Randy's awesome hot sauce I get the big jars. Randy and his people are awesome great service, and always greet you with a smile. You can show up at closing time they will tend to you they will never turn you away. Oh my gosh...YUM!! My boyfriend and I went for lunch and the food was phenomenal. We shared the hamburger as the steak sandwich. The hamburger was one of the best burgers I've ever had and the steak sandwich was definitely the best I've had. The meat used on the steak sandwich was tender and didn't have any gross/chewy parts that beef sometimes has. The crust wasn't soggy or separated from the beef, it was perfectly crispy. I love these types of sandwiches, but a lot of times when I order them they are a soggy mess. Not this one. It was great! I can't wait to go back, perhaps for breakfast next time! read more

The cheese enchiladas were great! They were made of the "melty" cheese. The Fry pie (carne guisada over French fries and cheese) was out of this world. Their carne Asada taco was great it was made with very chopped carne Asada and the thin flour tortilla was awesome.
