This little gem of a restaurant in Corpus Christi offers delicious TexMex in generous portions. I've been dining here for breakfast or lunch since 1999, and the food is consistently good. We particularly like their refried beans. The chips and salsa are some of the best around. Nine times out of ten, we get cheerful waitresses who are happy to serve. It's more often crowded than not, but we've hardly ever had to wait to be seated. It can be loud when the restaurant is full. We stopped here for breakfast while we were in Corpus a few weeks ago and it definitely hit the spot. Some local family recommended this location specifically for its quality and proximity to their house. It doesn't look like much, but the food was delicious and quick! We weren't sure what to order and asked about breakfast tacos. The staff were all super helpful and told us they could basically make any combo we were interested in. We did bacon, egg, and cheese tacos, black bean and cheese tacos, and one with egg, cheese, and sausage. The tortillas tasted incredible and were definitely house made. The salsas were also good: the habanero definitely was spicy, but delicious. This was definitely some of the best food we had while we were in Corpus, so we'll definitely be back when we return! Soooo good! I am a Corpus Christi native, but have not lived there for over 20 years now. I was in town helping care for my mother in the hospital and had gone several days without a good sitdown meal. Stopped by here for lunch after running an errand or two, and it was the most satisfying TexMex ever! I had a basic Chalupa with Al, Pastor meat and a taco. Simple but just so delicious! The kind lady who waited on me was so sweet and cheerful, and just brightened my day. There is a lot I do not miss about corpus, but great food like this is definitely missed! read more

We have breakfast here often. Prices are low and the plates are really wonderful. Wait staff is very fast. You should give them a try. We love their Huevos Rancheros and the Migas plate. The tortillas are fresh with homemade corn tortillas. read more

I am new to "Yelp" but I'm not new to Jalisco's. I've been having breakfast here almost daily since I retired a liitle over 4 yrs. ago. The service is always excellent, everyone wears a smile and they are so attentive keeping the coffee cups full of hot coffee. I understand that this is a mexican food restaurant. However, it's not in the RGValley so it's kinda expected that your waitresses have some grasp of the english language. "Tea? Sweet or unsweet?" OK...she can say that...does she know what it means? I tell her "sweet" and repeats it back to me and writes SOMEthing down. Brings me un-sweet...but at least it had a teaspoon. Food unremarkable. Very salty. That's not something I've previously had problems with. As I consume my tea, she comes back with two pitchers and before I look up I hear her "more tea? Un-sweet?" I say, "No, SWEET!"...and she pours unsweet to fill my glass. WT*?? The food wasn't enough to get past that bit...it's a matter of having waitresses who either can understand or comprehend the customers. This pleasant woman couldn't. read more

Tried this out on Sunday. It had been years since I had eaten at one of these. They are all over the city like Whataburger. We were there for breakfast. I had the standard Mexican breakfast--chorizo con huevo, beans, papas fritas, and tortillas. My friends had migas plus pancakes. All was standard good. Prices are also reasonable. Our waitress was really nice and provided great service. Actually, all the staff we encountered were pleasant. I would like to go back and try another location for lunch or dinner. read more

The food is bad regardless of the freshness, they put red chili powder on almost everything they make and not a little they overdo the chili powder, portions are small prices are high I've received the wrong ordes but yet they overcharged my debit card. This location has great, consistent food. Service is wonderful, which really makes it a six star eat instead of just 5! I've never had bad food here or bad customer service, and even though the lines on weekends can be long it is well worth the wait! They really do a great job at this one!! read more

I love this place the food is good and the people who work there are amazing excellent wait staff.. I live in the neighborhood and I frequent the restaurant for tacos in the morning and many evenings my bosses will go there for dinner and take me along. We really enjoy eating at Taqueria Jalisco on Staples. All of the wait staff are especially nice however one employee really stands out and that is Jazmin always smiling and Happy she makes your day and always puts a smile on my face.
