    Straw too short for glass.

My dining experience was at 7pm on a Saturday night. I only saw one server, whom was friendly. There were only two other tables dining besides myself, a few more people-customers showed before I left, but not many. The young lady at the cash register was not very friendly, talkative or attentive, she acted like I was disturbing her from playing on her cell phone. When I approached the counter to pay my bill, she glanced up at me then looked back her phone. I said that I need to pay my bill, and without speaking, she put out her hand to accept my bill; and payment and after accepting my payment, she just handed me my card back and receipt to sign (no thank you, have a good evening, nothing). I would not even give her a one star rating. There were very low levels of food on the buffet, understandably due to not very many customers to eat it. Even though all of the hot foods were in the buffet steamer pans, most selections were lukewarm to cold. The taste of the food was standard, nothing that was exceptional. I agree with another reviewer about the crab rangoon. It was crab-less, just cream cheese. There was no signage on any of the food items. If you are familiar with any Chinese buffet, you would know what the items were. But, if you are unfamiliar with the items, you would not know what any of the items or sauces were. I dined with my mother and she came back to the table with a ramekin of what she hoped to be sweet and sour sauce and not hot sauce. They only gave us one napkin, that our silverware was wrapped in and none extra at the table. We asked for more, along with just about everyone else around us. Our waitress brought us a small stack of napkins (the size of the napkins were smaller than the ones you would get at White Castle). When eating peel and eat shrimp and various other hand foods, they should have larger napkins, or have extra napkins already at the table. This would save the waitress an extra trip to every table to disperse napkins. As with several other reviewers over past years, they still have not changed their carpet. It is still dingy, stained and peeling back. Just nasty to look at and a sign of how sanitized and clean they keep their establishment. The salt shaker cap was rusty and if someone did want to use it, they couldn't, because it had was clogged with old dried salt. The straw that they give you for your drink is too short for their cups. You have to use your fingers to pull the straw up to drink out of every time you want a drink. I very seldom rate a restaurant with only one star, but this one definitely deserves it. The one star is for the friendly waitress and the decent price of $25 for 2 people to eat on a Saturday evening. I have added a few photos including: the salt shaker, stained carpet, short straw, crab-less rangoon and a sample of their food selection.

    Many choices hot and fresh

We had decided to go away for Christmas 2018. And needed to head back home to Ohio. We had gone to mass and then googled places to eat on Christmas and we know people need and deserve to spend time with their families and were really fortunate to see this Chinese buffet open for business. The reviews were confusing as this is not our first Chinese buffet so not sure what the issue was. The parking lot was pretty full and many families were seated at tables. A buffet table with many salad options. A table of sushi and 2 with Asian dishes. Dont forget if you are really hungry that there are several dessert options and icecream Son found hibachi which is included in the price and they cooked what he requested. The staff was friendly and the food was good and the place friendly. We left a nice tip.. as these people want to celebrate with their families as well. So we disagree with the negative reviews and we have several Chinese buffets in Ohio. It's important that food is fresh and hot and the place is clean.

    Empty buffet.

If I could give no stars I would. Utterly discuting. I wanted Chinese for lunch but didn't want to drive to Louisville so I have it a second chance, everyone deserves a second chance right? WRONG. This place needs to be shut down. I was there at 12:10pm, I think that's a fairly popular lunch time, half the buffet was empty, I posted pics of this. The food was atrocious, and I was scared to try the "Mongolian grill" portion of the buffet, the chicken looked a little green to me. I'm done, won't be back.

My husband and I just finished lunch at jumbo Buffett. The food was greasy and had very little flavor. We will not be going back.

The restaurant selection was limited to three options. An upscale steak restaurant, a sports bar and a cafe. The casino was fine, but if second had smoke bothers you it will Be an issue. The bar in the casino was always backed up with a long slow moving line and the prices were not discounted. Overall, it was fine, but it definitely did not blow me away. Edit: I took this down to two stars. I got this morning to no hot water. Last night my wife said she got lukewarm water for her shower. Hot water is an expectation for any hotel and especially a place that clams it's a "luxury resort". If you look over my review catalogue you will see I give out 4/5 star reviews fairly regularly and 1/2 stars is rare for me. This was a disappointment from Belterra.

Casino hotels are always tricky for me because I'm someone who really likes to gamble, so I am…read morealmost always given free rooms. Still, I don't think my experience is different than what anyone who comes and pays for the room would be - especially at Belterra. This is a place that has a lot of potential. I can remember when I still lived at home (I grew up in nearby Northern KY) coming with my parents for the giant buffet with crab legs. The place was bustling and it was a fun evening, even though my parents don't gamble. I think those glory days are over. The buffet is no more... open only on major holidays. Most of the other restaurants have limited hours and the place is, especially during the week, practically empty. Still, I was able to connect with an extremely helpful casino host who hooked me up with a player's card and free rooms on two occasions. Note that they do NOT tier match, which is a bummer. I go to Las Vegas 2 or 3 times a month and NO - this isn't like Vegas. At all. I didn't expect that and you shouldn't either. None of the fawning, fancy VIP stuff... it's both refreshing and jarring. Some things to know: * They take early check-in seriously. It's 3 pm and do not come any earlier or they will charge you. They don't care who you are. * Valet parking is only on weekends - so expect to have to handle your own parking and bags. But the parking lot is free! * There just isn't much in the way of dining and you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Lower your expectations when it comes to meals. Our room was a basic mid-level hotel room... think Holiday Inn. I think the beds are miserably hard but mattress firmness is a really personal issue so YMMV. One thing that I really hated... during our second stay, the bedside alarm clock went off at 5 AM. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, so the damn thing continued to go off every 10 minutes until I unplugged it. That's something that just shouldn't happen. Sloppy. The solicitous (and tip-expecting) staff you experience in Vegas has nothing in common with the staff at Belterra. They are not impolite but they don't really care that much and it shows. On our second stay, my mother needed a motorized scooter, which we were able to rent from the hotel. It was her first time using one so we asked for a tutorial. We got basically 1 minute of instruction and were sent on our way. We didn't know how to charge the thing, how to turn it on or off... nothing. The staff at Nosh was consistently deeply uninterested in customers. Casino staff are a little better (save for the security that stare at you as you go through the metal detector), but there is a distinct weariness and lack of interest. Food has been either just OK or not good. There aren't many options at all, and what is there all feels like they're just phoning it in. There is a very small high-limit slots room (I heard there were two, but couldn't find the other). There are some real antiques in the casino - if you like older slots, you will love it here. If you like the latest machines, you're going to struggle to find any. The casino will scratch your itch but that's about it - know what I mean? I don't think we'll do Belterra again... but I do plan to try out some of the Boyd properties in Vegas. If you live nearby, this may be a fun overnight or night out, but definitely not a reason for a special trip.

I started with a huge center cut pork chop. It had a great grilled flavor and a very interesting tomato based sauce. Next there was tasty smoked sausage which was surrounded by a large variety of grilled vegetables. I don't eat veggies but I could tell those who do would be happy as well. Then I had some tasty taco beef and I topped it with some cool bean sauce and cheese and sour cream. I also had a nice piece of steak very flavorful. The iced tea was nice and strong. I also had a glass of orange and even it was better than normal it was strong on syrup with a good bite. Next the deserts. At first I was disappointed because they looked like they came from Walmart. However, when I tasted them I was blown away again. The lemon cake was moist and tasted like the delicious lemon archway cookies from my childhood. Next I tried a pumpkin cream log. The spices were perfect and the filling had an excellent balance of tangy cream cheese and sweet. The lunch buffet was $15 drink included. Not only was it the most real and flavorful meal I've had in years but the couple running the place are super friendly and keep the buffet very well maintained. The place was completely clean including the restrooms. The only thing I was missing was some bread or mashed potatoes, but I think they have those sometimes just not the day I went.
