Canadian bacon eggs benedict it was fabulous
    Gianna G.

We had a wonderful brunch here! I had the Canadian bacon eggs benedict with fruit and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were cooked perfect. All my friends loved their food and all the plates were empty. Can't wait to go back.

Great service! The chicken and rice was a good portion & the benedict was one of the best I have had. Also the biscuits and gravy was a 10/10

To see this restaurant is a gem, is an understatement. There are way too many reasons to list here why you should go here, but I know why we go here. The owner of this magnificent bistro, has nothing but pure love into this quaint, warm, wonderful experience. Every dish is a masterpiece every flavor and experience you will never forget. From the eggs, their fish, or any of their dishes he will not be disappointed.

    Hamburger with sautéed redskin potato.

Food was amazing. Quiche was delicious and very filling, Hamburger was cooked to perfection and very plump and juicy. Service was great. The server was very attentive, very nice, and very welcoming. Jumps is very allergie friendly as well. The ambience is welcoming and makes you feel as if you are on the French Countryside. Price was moderate, $42.30 for 2 people, but worth the every cent. 5/5 stars, would recommend if you are ever in Grosse Pointe.

Chicken gyro loaded with chicken and the home fries were fantastic, but the tzatziki sauce was watery.

My wife and I came here a little after 1 PM on a weekday. It was busy, which is always a good sign: this place is really hard to spot from the street, which tells me the locals know a good thing when they see it. The first thing you see when you walk in is an open kitchen, but the head chef wearing a tall chefs hat. This is very cool: not just the tall hat, but the fact that they're confident enough to have an open kitchen, we can see what they're doing. The downside is when your food is up, and you have to hope your server notices that the food is up. This is what happened us: the food waited a little while before the server brought it out. Fortunately, the food was very good. My chicken pita was loaded with chicken, but the problem was that the tzatziki sauce was very loose...almost watery. The home fries and a crispy, buttery taste to them, and the pea soup I got to start was also very good. My wife got salmon cakes, which featured something I really see in salmon cakes at restaurants: a lot of salmon! The tarragon sauce that came with it was also excellent, and the asparagus was also a nice accompaniment. The creamy dressing on her Caesar salad was also a highlight. This place is a little bit pricey, but the quality is very good.

Nice quiet and intimate environment. Wasn't too busy on a Friday. We had the house made boar sausage omelet with northern beans and the puppet pancake with mixed berry compote. It was okay. The omelet wasn't extremely flavorful, but the beans certainly made it filling. The boar sausage was a little light on flavor profile. The mixed berries were delicious, but the pancake was think and dense. Glad for the experience, but not my favorite.

    Super delicious mushroom omelette

From the moment we walked through the front door until we left, every single person we encountered made us feel like we were celebrating with family. The hostess welcomed us with anniversary wishes, our server was outstanding, the bus staff wished us well, and everyone in between made the evening feel special. It's rare to find a restaurant where the entire team is so genuinely engaged. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The lighting was warm and inviting, the room had a wonderful energy, and it struck that perfect balance between elegant and comfortable. We noticed several other couples celebrating anniversaries, and before the evening got underway, each one was recognized. It was such a classy touch. The food was terrific. We started with the potato soup, and it was one of the best we've had. I ordered the pork schnitzel, which was excellent, and Nancy's fish entrée was every bit as good. The champagne was generously poured, everything arrived perfectly prepared, and every course reminded us why people rave about this place. The funny thing is, we skipped dessert...and spent the drive home wishing we hadn't! We drove from the other side of town, and I'd make that trip again in a heartbeat. Great food, impeccable service, wonderful ambiance, and an evening we'll remember for a long time. If you're looking for a place to celebrate an anniversary or any special occasion, I can't recommend the Dirty Dog Jazz Café highly enough. Thank you to everyone who made our 33rd anniversary such a memorable one.

It's great for taking that special someone if you want to impress them. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. It's less great at 4 PM on Thursday for one reason: the price. Dinner for three with one drink each cost us $150 before tip. It's funny how my wife's mom kept wondering why there was nobody there. This is partly why, though it did just open for the day. Mixed drink prices are in the $15 range, which to be fair is comparable to most places these days. And, beer is reasonably priced at $7 a pint for a Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Be forewarned that Bronze Door is also in the echelon of We Season Our Food Perfectly So You Don't Need Salt and Pepper. You can get some if you need it, which we did, though the need was minimal. My Orecchiette with Pesto and Chorizo was just about perfect, except it needed a dusting of salt. The sausage and pasta were flawless, but the pesto was more subtle than I would have liked. Fortunately, if you order the phenomenal focaccia bread, you get a side of pesto, which I mixed into the dish. My wife's orange glazed salmon was flawless. The potatoes that accompanied them also needed salt. Definitely order the focaccia bread. It's freshly baked and robustly herby. It doesn't need the pesto sauce or the chunky tomato sauce, but they are nice accompaniments. For a nominal fee ($4), you can get a Caesar side salad with your meal. My wife asked for dressing on the side, but the waiter didn't hear her. I'm guessing everybody usually gets the same overly dressed plate of salad. This is such a shame, because all the ingredients are beautiful. This is clearly freshly made dressing over the fresh greens, with shaved Parmesan Reggiano and a little anchovy swimming on top of it. As I said at the beginning, this is a perfect place to take somebody on a special occasion. Everything about the place is old school fancy, from the decor to the cuisine to the service. I think we'll be back on our wedding anniversary.

Our waiter was cool kind and professional. The ambiance is very intimate and upscale casual. The manager was absolutely phenomenal! We saw him walking around talking to different tables including ours. He has great customer service! Now for the food. To share we ordered calamari and firecracker shrimp. Both had great flavor and cooked nicely. The black orchid cocktails were so lovely! We told the waiter to keep the tab open beacuse as soon we finished one, we were ready for another. For entrees I ordered the ribeye with truffle fries while my sister ordered the fish special. My sister said the asparagus had no seasoning but everything else was okay. My ribeye on the other hand was delicious! Cooked perfectly to the temperature I prefer and seasoned very well. The head chef even came by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. So much positive attention and great service all in one night. They know how to leave a lasting impression for sure.

The drinks are always unique and delicious, and there truly is a burger for everyone. Today I went with the dill pickle burger and a side of fried pickles, plus a lobster roll. And, sadly, a Diet Coke since I was headed back to work. My husband, meanwhile, had an amazing-looking martini with blue cheese olives. But let's talk about that lobster roll. It cannot be oversold. There is no filler pretending to be lobster here. It is pure, thick chunks of lobster, and absolutely worth the price. The owner, Jennifer, helped wait on us because one of their bartenders had called out, and she was delightful. I love supporting a family-run local business, especially when the food, drinks, and people are this good. High Pointe has become one of those places we happily come back to again and again. Highly recommend!

Since I'm on this side of town dog sitting, I finally said I'm going here and did the drive in this cold weather. Walking in, it's smaller here than I anticipated. Limited seating and parking, FYI. Not good for large groups since there was literally only one table in the corner for maybe a party of four. More of a two person place to grab a quick bite. The menu is good with tons of options and lots of drinks. I wasn't feeling the booze so I stuck with Sprite and water. My server was friendly and attentive and checked in on me regularly. I got two of the regular sliders with a side of cheesy fries. Everything's ala carte here, so be prepared to spend a little more than normal. Food was great, and I really enjoyed myself here. The trick is to come here when it's not busy so you can dine in. I'm sure during the summer they may have outdoor seating, but since it's the dead of winter, not so much. Overall a great experience. After tip, my bill was $25 for two sliders, pop and cheesy fries. I'm glad I got to visit here and would recommend it to others. Love the menu selection of food.
