The BT21 collab is so cute! Got one of their special BT21 Galaxy drinks, the galaxy matcha latte. It was a flavor mix that seemed to work pretty well, matcha with purple sweet potato (ube) and black sesame. The black sesame flavor dominated but it was still delicious. So happy that Junbi finally opened a location closer to where I live! I'm in San Jose and I still am willing to make the drive to Mountain View to get some Junbi. The first time I had Junbi was in SoCal and I loved it so much, I had it 3 times while we were down there. I follow one of the franchise owners and when he announced they were expanding throughout California, I was so excited! I was following the Mountain View Junbi on Instagram for a while and made sure I was checking their page regularly for updates on when they would be opening. On a random Saturday night, I noticed they posted they will be having a Soft Opening the next day. I was so excited, I called friends and family so they could come a long. During the soft opening, it was actually pretty calm. There wasn't a long, crazy line of people but since it was still soft opening, their menu items were pretty limited. I decided to get the Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Latte with less sugar and it was pretty good! You can definitely taste the Madagascar Vanilla. It was actually so strong, it almost overpowered the matcha. But it was still really good! Since their soft opening, I've dropped by maybe a handful of times. My go-to drinks are usually the Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Latte and the Guava Matcha Cold Brew. I know a lot of people who aren't a fan of cold brew matcha, but I think Junbi does a really good job at brewing it. It's always very clean inside and the workers are always super nice and friendly. I'll definitely be coming back every time I'm in the area! read more

The staff are super friendly and nice and provide excellent service. The location makes it a bit difficult to find parking. For the drinks, the gold Peach matcha latte was pretty good, but for the rest of the ones we got, they didn't really feel special. The prices are definitely on the higher end so I feel they don't really justify the taste but give it a try and see for yourself first. read more

A matcha made in heaven. I finally visited my first Junbi location that I have been following since COVID days. I ordered the Miffy Sakura series - lychee matcha latte! I adjusted the sweetness and ice so it's less. I also ordered the mango refresher with boba and less sugar and less ice. Both were refreshing and tasty! They forgot the boba but quickly remade it with no issues. I ordered a couple of their miffy pins ($8 each). Miffy T-shirts ($40), electric mixer ($25) were available, while their glass cups, totes and a few other merch were out of stock. Staff were friendly. Lighting was nice. Area was clean. I need to try guava matcha next time and their rice triangles and soft serve when it's available. I loved that their straws are environmentally friendly made of sugar cane- not the paper straws. We've been fans of Junbi in LA for a while and was excited that they made their way over to the Bay Area! The drinks were good and consistent. I got the guava matcha latte - the guava kind of overpowers the matcha so I might just stick to a plain matcha latte or a strawberry one next time. Parking is relatively easy, since they have a parking structure right next to the store. My only qualm is that they don't have WiFi, which would've been nice for those who want to stay longer and work in the space. read more

Super cute spot with a few tables and chairs and nice chill music. I was 29th in line but still got in within about 30 minutes. Once I ordered, my drinks came out fast -- only took around 5-10 minutes. The matcha here is pretty good and the drinks not too sweet. I got a couple fruity ones which had good flavor and nothing over powered the other. I would come back to try the expanded menu and ice cream. read more

I'm so disappointed in their Miffy glass tumbler cup. I just put in an ice cube into the cup and the bottom shattered. So sad. For the price too, it was expensive! Their drinks are decent though! I've been a fan of Junbi since years ago when they were still called SIP in Rowland Heights/City of Industry. I love matcha and Junbi has consistently provided that clean, smooth matcha taste. There is plenty of underground parking at this location. As you approach the store, don't miss the parking entrance right before it. As Junbi Mountain View is a franchise, there really isn't any room for menu change (sure, some may have a location-specific item like the POG at Junbi Waikiki, etc.) but in theory, their drinks should taste the same across stores. Hence, it's crucial for management to properly train the staff on drink-making and understanding their items. Unfortunately this was not the case at this location. I ordered two drinks -- one from their permanent menu and one from their temporary Miffy collab. While I was waiting in line, the customer in front of me had several questions about the drinks but the staff seemed to not be able to answer them. When it was my turn, I asked for a dash of milk in my guava matcha cold brew (a dash of milk is free btw), but the staff was unsure if it would cost extra and asked if I wanted a milk alternative as coconut milk, oat milk, etc would be an extra charge. I said, "no I'm fine with regular milk" and as I'm watching her screen, she took it off the order completely! I caught it in time, fixed her mistake, and just as I thought it was over, she misspelled my name so badly that the other staff calling the orders out called it so differently that I almost missed it... also, one of my drinks tasted a bit more watery than usual. I love Junbi and would love to continue frequenting it but I would probably avoid coming back to this location until they train their staff better. TLDR: staff need way more training on making their drinks, thoroughly understanding their menu items, and efficient customer service. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was no line. We got a guava matcha latte and it was ready in under 10 minutes. It was perfectly sweet and the matcha wasn't too bitter. Finally a Junbi location close to me and in the Bay Area. Parking is a little tricky, there's an underground parking. I missed it and had to make a U-turn. This Junbi is located on a very busy street. Upon walking into Junbi, this is a lot bigger than the Pleasanton location. My main purpose was to grab that Miffy x Junbi electric whisk and a tin of ceremonial matcha...which were actually available!! I didn't get a drink when I visited since I already had my caffeine fix in the morning. But I will come back again to try more selections. Such a cute little matcha spot! I've been a couple times now and have tried the miffy sakura matcha and the yuzu dragon fruit refresher. Both were very much well crafted and refreshing. They have kiosks for easy ordering. I'm not sure if they have order ahead yet, but it wasn't available when I went a couple weeks ago. My friend from Japan is a Miffy super fan. I have no idea who that is. It is apparently a bunny that is Dutch that somehow made it into Japanese culture? Confusing. But also a marketing icon for Junbi which we walked by recently. A purveyor of Matcha Drinks and other beverages in SoCal it seems where my Japanese friend now lives looks like they've opened with a ton of other businesses in Silicon Valley in the constantly developing area. I ordered the limited Persimmon Matcha with an extra shot of matcha and found it to be pretty disappointing. I felt the puree overpowered the matcha flavor even with the added shot and doesn't really complement the overal drink. The perimmon cold foam was good, but even without it I felt the matcha was lacking. Overall, I think the matcha could be stronger in flavor. I was really excited when I saw that Junbi opened up in Mountain View! We ordered our drinks on the kiosk and service was quick since we went midday. They had cute miffy merch since they have a collab with them right now. I ordered the guava matcha with almond jelly and it was a solid 4/5. The matcha flavor was good and it wasn't overly sweet (I got the less sweet option). My husband ordered the yuzu dragonfruit matcha and it was ok (3/5). Checked out Junbi and left so impressed with the drinks and ambience! Staff was also very friend and service was fast. I got a bunch of drinks to try: Strawberry matcha latte with aloe, less sweet. This was 10/10 for me. As someone who likes higher matcha ratio to milk, I can tell they use a lot of matcha in this drink. It didn't taste milky to me at all, which was pleasantly surprisingly! The strawberry blended with matcha perfectly and the aloe added the pop of sweetness. Less sweet was still a *little* too sweet for me but that's just preference! Same can be said with all of their lattes that my friends tried! Boba was very chewy and fresh when tried it. Plus the drink insulation bags are so cute and reusable Parking can be a little confusing at first but once you park in the garage and walk up the stairs, it's an easy find. Unfortunately this place missed the mark for us, we decided to try their Madagascar Vanilla Matcha (one of their top sellers) and some sort of lychee milk tea I can't recall the name. We assumed since it was a matcha shop their matcha drinks would be really good...mine was not. It was extremely watered down and I could barely taste the matcha. I went to their grand opening event on Saturday, so I can't comment on their regular wait times and parking availability - there is a nearby mixed-use garage though! The two drinks I ordered were: Guava Matcha Cold Brew - I really enjoyed this flavor combo and don't see it often in other nearby drink stores! Mango Matcha Cold Brew - It was decent, but the flavors didn't feel as well mixed compared to the Guava drink. Maybe its because they used mango bits as opposed to a puree? Super excited Junbi is finally here in South Bay! Went just after it opened on their first opening day. Line wasn't too long but there's only one cashier. Was about 14 people deep line and from ordering to getting drinks in hand was just under an hour. Parking garage next door was full at the time so had to park down the block. Can't wait for the full menu once they fully launch. Picture is of their limited soft opening menu. When we tried Junbi in Waikiki, my favorites were cold brew matcha with guava or Lilikoi. I'm a fan! I was really excited for Junbi to come to the bay area since I had enjoyed their drinks in their Honolulu store. We tried the guava matcha and the chrysanthemum tea. I love both of them! The chrysanthemum tea is super floral and strong. The guava matcha had plenty of guava paste in there, and added a nice surprise to the matcha. We got less sweet and less ice but it still seemed a little sweet to me. I feel like there are other places I'd visit for a strawberry matcha latte but I'd come back and try some of the other drinks on their menu! I am curious about the matcha cold brew. They have a lot of interesting tea drink options and customizable options, like multiple alternative milks. They also have coffee options. You can order at the kiosk or counter. I got a hojicha latte with soy and vanilla cold foam (less sweet). It had good hojicha forgot and was mixed well (I hate when you get powder residue). With the drink, you get a cute miffy sleeve! Staff are friendly and efficient, and the space is open / spacious and nice for hanging out. The bathroom was clean, and they have wifi! read more
