The menu offers refreshing COLD BREW FRUIT TEAS, fresh fruit smoothies, rotating seasonal flavours of frozen yogurt, and a variety of toppings from cereal to fruit to Nutella. Came just to try the chocolate crunch. It was my first time at a pink berry and I wasn't sure how to order. The staff weren't that friendly and didn't really explain anything to us, just kinda looked at us confused and when we asked questions it was hard to hear what their were saying. They have really limited flavors so not many options. I got the tart with strawberries and the chocolate crunch top. The chocolate crunch was sooooooo good. Tasted like Nutella with tiny malt crunch balls. Absolutely enjoyed it and wish I got more. I came in for a takeout order and checked in with the cashier, the asian girl with the RBF, who acknowledged me and told me to wait. I stood there the entire time, yet somehow four other takeout orders were fulfilled before mine, and even two walk-in customers received the exact same item I had orderer plus extra add-ons. When I followed up, instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, the cashier gave me attitude and claimed she "never saw me," which is simply not true. There was zero accountability. I was then told I could either wait another 15 minutes or take an empty cup with low-quality yogurt -- followed by "what do you want me to do about it?" That response was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled with dismissiveness and no effort to make it right is unacceptable. I've been coming to this Pinkberry for a while and usually order a small cup with five toppings. In fact, just two days before this visit, I ordered the exact same thing with no issues. Yesterday afternoon, however, the employee helping me stopped me after my third topping and refused to add any more. She said it was "store policy" because customers had complained about getting sick from having too many toppings. The explanation didn't make much sense, especially since I'd been served the same order there multiple times before. What's even more confusing is that Pinkberry's own website states: "Toppings are included based on the selected cup size, creating an opportunity to personalize every Pinkberry experience and satisfy the most unique flavor cravings." If toppings are meant to personalize your order based on the cup size, it's hard to understand why I was suddenly limited to three, especially when the policy wasn't enforced just two days earlier. In the last 10-12 months I have reviewed over 20 frozen yogurt places in the SF bay area. Pinkberry is a full service fro-yo place. They charge a fixed price, and they control the portion size. Then they charge a little extra for toppings. They also serve fruit teas, smoothies, and fro-yo swirls. You can get your fro-yo in a cone or cup. Pinkberry has limited flavors. When we were there, the six choices were: - Original, sweet & tart - Green Apple - Tropical Mango - Chocolate Hazelnut - pomegranate - chocolate chip cookie I ordered a medium w/ Mango and Chocolate Hazelnut, $7.99, no toppings My friend got a small for $6.99. My medium was a good sized serving of fro-yo. Usually, I get better value at a full serve place than a "pay by weight" place. If I was at Yogurtland, this medium from Pinkberry would probably be near $9.50. How did it taste? The Mango was icy cold and refreshing. The Mango flavor was good and tasty. No chalky after taste. The chocolate-hazelnut was creamy and good. The fro-yo stayed frozen for awhile before melting in the heat. Why 4-stars? This place has no indoor or outdoor seating. Just order, pay, and leave. I'm a little hard of seeing, so I politely asked her to read off the menu items. She nicely obliged, and read them for me. I was able to get efficient service. Love Pinkberry! It's been at least decade since I last had Pinkberry. What I like about it and what still held true was consistency. My go-to is the tart yogurt topped with strawberries and blueberries. It tasted like how I remembered it. The others in our party ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, mango, and pomegranate yogurts with various toppings. The line here can be long at times but does move fairly quickly.
