They have a lot of flavors to choose from including the purple ube. Tried the mango and the pistachio flavors. They also have sundaes, floats, ice cream cake and freshly baked cookies. Mango ice cream was good. It didn't have the tart flavor. The pistachio had bit of crushed pistachios. Very mildly flavored. Didn't have the creamy taste. Tastes more like lower fat milk. Found this place I think 2021-2022, really like their flavors and hometown feel to it. Their ice cream are slightly thicker than others. It almost reminds me of Turkish dondurma. Doesn't melt as quick neither, which is awesome. I accidentally snapped my plastic spoon trying to eat it. You'll need to take a number if you want the classic ice cream service of being able to sample flavors over the counter. But if you know what you want, you can order from the large tablets in the corner. Rick's "rather rich" ice cream -- sort of a local old fashion parlor with some interesting Indian inspired flavors. A small scoop is $5 so it's a little expensive but a nice treat if you're in the area. Yes you can sample some flavors if you're not sure what you'd like to commit to. We ordered: Butter beer -- just like the Harry Potty drink at Disneyland! Masala chai -- lots of tea flavor Saffron pistachio -- the least sweet of them all and has a nod to Indian spices I also sampled their kulfi flavor and that was really good too -- rose water plus cardamom! My partner and I were in town to visit some of his friends that returned from Michigan. We just finished up watching the new Ant-man movie which was great. We were looking for something sweet after dinner and found this family own place on yelp. We were able to get 3 to 5 ice cream tastings per person (there was four of us). After we decided, one of us got their Swiss chocolate mocha ice cream in a hand baked chocolate dipped waffle cone. They love chocolate; super decadent. The other shake officianados ordered a couple milkshakes---vanilla and vanilla bean mixed, and Kulfi. Kulfi is a cardamom, pistachio, Indian, authentic flavor that is made in house and it was divine. Definitely a must try! Customer service wasn't out of ordinary and no one really smiled or was super cordial. Just mainly there doing their job and it wasn't busy either. A few groups followed us in afterwards. There are signs all over the store and entrance to warn clients of only allowing 1 party (group of clients) in at a time so they seem COVID conscience which is good. I noticed they also have pints and gallons of ice cream for sale that are pre-packed and ready to go in the freezer for anyone wanting to pick-up. The Kulfi flavor was great so I would revisit for their other in-house homemade flavors but other than that it wasn't a special experience in terms of customer service or ambiance. read more

I was at the next door Pet Food Express and thought it wouldn't hurt to check this spot out. I went with my classic fave: mint chip on a waffle cone. It was pretty pricey for one scoop on a cone - $6. It tasted pretty basic like Dreyer's ice cream you get from the grocery store. Didn't really find anything too unique about this place, so probably wouldn't return again. Workers were nice, but when I asked them what ingredients are in certain flavors, they only listed a few and said "and all that other good stuff." Came on a Saturday evening. Not a lot of rush, we tasted few flavors and liked all! Finally got a medium sized plain cone with a scoop of mango and a scoop of Choco cherry. Loved the Choco cherry. Ricks ice cream is not too bad but not too good either. The pricing here seems excessive as it is 750 for a medium scoop ice cream. That scoop was pretty average compared to other shops as well. They have many flavors to choose from that somewhere very interesting. The staff is very nice and gave samples as needed. I tried the kulfi flavor which had a few spices in them but was too much for me. I had such a difficult time choosing because there were so many flavors that sounded so good. I settled on bananas since you can never get that around much. It was delicious nice fresh banana flavors did not taste too artificial and not too overly sweet. My wife got industrial chocolate, which had fudge and cookie pieces in it and she really enjoyed it. The only issue we both had was to both felt our ice cream was kind of icy, which was weird because both of our ice creams look like from a fresh batch. I had to overrule my kid who attempted to order vanilla! The lychee was great, with little bits of lychee, the raspberry crunch was also very good. We had a waffle cone that they made on the spot - which made all the difference in the world because it was fragrant and delicious. The ice cream portion also seemed a lot bigger when in a cone than when served in a cup, which we tried on another occasion. It gets very crowded so be aware. It is on the pricier side but overall the flavors are still worth it. I got the saffron pistachio and was pretty happy with my scoop. So yea, I don't even want to know how much sugar they use. Hard pass on Rick's...
