I've come to this Matcha spot a couple of times in the past 2 months and overall, it tastes pretty good. They have many options to choose from with varying sweetness levels. The staff is kind and they were helpful in clarifying some questions I had when I came my first time. So far I've had the Guava Matcha Latte, Strawberry Matcha and the BT21 collaboration Matcha. I wasn't a fan of the BT21 collaboration flavor but the strawberry and guava matcha lattes are good. I usually get my drinks less sweet but you can have the drink sweeter if that is your preference. One thing that is on my list to try is the cold brew matcha. I think it's supposed to resemble cold brew coffee using cold water to mix the matcha instead of hot water. A fairly new Matcha spot in Mountain View. I remember seeing Junbi in Hawaii and never got a chance to try it, so I was excited that they opened one in the South Bay! Decided to come here during my lunch with my coworkers because we were all craving matcha. I went with the Guava Matcha Latte. It is pretty good, you get a nice balance of the matcha and sweet guava. It didn't taste artificial - which I liked. We also were offered free samples of their soft serve, which was pretty good. Maybe if I'm feeling a soft serve, I will get it next time. I've been to the Junbi in Livermore and I was excited there was one opening up slightly closer to me. I feel like the quality has gone down or something, the first time I tried Junbi I was pleasantly surprised as a lot of matcha places have no matcha taste and it's always milky. My new favorite place for matcha! We stop by here whenever we're driving through Mountain View for the matcha lattes. My favorite one is the Guava Matcha Latte. Unlike a lot of other matcha places, the matcha doesn't taste overpoweringly grassy and instead tastes scrumptiously earthy. It's also a smooth sip without any hint of powdery-ness or graininess. The guava tastes like natural guava too, not syrup. The interior is nicely modern with bright yellow walls and is always clean, even when we go later at night. When I heard they were opening a location in Mountain View, the closest one to me, I was thrilled. I hyped it up so much that I ended up bringing my cousins along. It's one of those underground retail parking garages, which isn't the most convenient if you're just trying to make a quick stop for a drink. We each ordered different drinks to sample a variety. I stuck with my go-to, the strawberry matcha latte. Since the shop had just opened, I wasn't too bothered when the staff mixed up some orders and got confused about which drinks had been sent out and which were still missing (two of ours). Out of the 7 drinks we tried, I'd say three were good. The rest, including mine, were just okay, tasting more watered down than I remembered. It was disappointing, especially since I had hyped up the visit so much. And to mention, the drinks were on the pricier side, averaging about $7.50 each. My favorite was the Snow Crab which was flavorful and savory; the slight spiciness of the Mentaiko was interesting but I preferred the Snow Crab more. Came here during their grand opening, when they did a BOGO deal. I decided to get a Guava Matcha Latte and a Strawberry Matcha Latte. I like that Junbi offers a twist on matcha drinks. Got the lychee sakura matcha cold brew which was a balance of a floral lychee flavor. The flavor was light as I always got less sweet. I appreciate that you can change the sweetness and ice levels. I've tried so many different drinks of theirs and I've never been disappointment. Even bought a tin of their ceremonial matcha for home. Came here for their soft opening today! I was surprised to see it open already. I drove by this spot on my way to work early Sunday morning and didn't expect it to open that same day. My bf and I are big matcha lovers, so we were excited to hear another matcha spot opened up nearby. We came around 3:30, and there was no line, but a few minutes later, a crowd showed up out of nowhere. The interior is cute, modern, and minimalist, which I liked. Junbi made its way to the South Bay! I heard about Junbi's soft opening and I had time to kill so I decided to check it out. For those wondering about Junbi's soft opening hours, it is from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM. There is plenty of retail parking since it is located next to a garage. I went on Sunday, the first day of soft opening, and the line was not bad at all! There were probably at most 5-6 parties ahead of me, and the line went by relatively quickly. I think in total, I waited roughly 25 minutes (line wait + drink wait). The inside was a lot more spacious than I expected with about 5-6 tables to sit down and talk with friends/family. They were also selling Junbi x Miffy merchandise such as shirts, tote, whisks, etc. I ordered a Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Latte for myself and a Miffy Lychee Sakura Matcha Latte for my friend. I thought the vanilla overpowered my drink just a bit but I think it may be because I ordered with regular sweetness, I tried my friend's drink and it was the perfect amount of lychee, floral, and matcha taste and surprisingly, not as sweet as mine (her drink was also regular sweetness). I still enjoyed my drink at Junbi and would definitely go again to try a different drink! read more

Can I just say, this place is not only super cute, but they also have amazing coffee? I visited Junbi yesterday (Weds), and there's a retail parking garage so it wasn't super stressful to find parking. It was fairly quiet when I visited; probably since it was a weekday afternoon (1pmish). They have a Snoopy collab going on and as a Snoopy lover, I had to try the specialty menu. I visited Junbi around 3 pm on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but my drinks came out relatively quick! Area is nice and walkable, and the Miffy collab is really cute! My partner and I tried the Matcha Cold Brew with cold foam and the Madagascar Vanilla Cold Brew. Unfortunately, I didn't like either of them. The Madagascar Vanilla had an artificial taste and a lingering bitter taste. With that said, I'd probably try a fruit drink next time or only visit for their merch. read more

I had been hankering to try this boba shop ever since word got out that they were coming to Mtn Vw. I decided to try one of their Spring Sakura Lychee drinks and settled on Matcha Latte version. IMHO, I was not totally impressed by it. The Matcha was too subtle for my tastes. The boba that cost extra did not have the texture that I like. Me and my girlfriend waited for 2 and a half hours to get into the store but at least our drinks came out quick. This spot has a unique concept specializing in matcha drinks with fruit flavors. Guava Matcha Latte (4.5/5): Probably the best drink out of all the ones I got. The guava flavor was super refreshing and paired well with the drink. I would say the matcha flavor isn't strong in this and you definitely taste more guava than matcha. Mango Matcha Latte (3.8/5): Solid drink but there were some things that could've been better. I think the mango is way too pulp-y and it was a mouthful every sip. Also, the mango overpowered the matcha a lot so I didn't taste any matcha at all with it.
