Overall a great spot! It's our first time visiting Paso Robles and my husband and I chose Junction Restaurant as our first stop for a late-ish dinner. We were greeted warmly by Ingrid, and chose to sit at the bar. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, the decor gave off a rustic modern vibes, the menu offered mostly traditional tapas with personal touches by chef. (Which was refreshing and enjoyable). We ordered a bottle of red wine and several tapas. They were all very delicious, but the mussels with bits of morcilla were definitely our fave! Since it was right before closing on a Sunday, we were eventually the last ones there. This allowed for us to chat extensively with the owners. What a pleasant couple! We had the hanger steak, stuffed red bell pepper, pork and beef meatballs in tomato sauce, sauté veggies with shaved manchego cheese, and bruschetta with prosciutto, small baguette with olive oil. We also had 2 glasses of wine and 4 nonalcoholic drinks. Total bill was $154 before tips. I feel like the meal was sort of mediocre and overpriced even for a touristy place. Must check out the recently opened quaint restaurant located in the train depot a few blocks from the main restaurant area of downtown. It's worth the short trek to check out this place. The downtown restaurant row area can get quite crowded and parking can be difficult. Neither were an issue at the Junction. My wife and I popped in for lunch and had some amazing creations. I had the pan seared pork medallions with salad and my wife had the cheese board and yucca fries. The chef Nick did an excellent job preparing the dishes. We're local. We've been to The Junction a couple times and really enjoy it. It's the only real tapas restaurant in the area! They have Spanish tapas such as Patatas Bravas, Empanadas, and Albondigas. Wow! The food was so good! What a great find. Had a little taste of quite a few things, cold mussel with Curry & pickled veg, crostini w/ blood sausage, goat cheese, lamb empanada w/ lemon herb aioli, all amazing! Had dinner and drinks at the Junction last night. It was worth writing about. I had the Meat Balls and Empanadas and my wife got the goat cheese, Manchego cheese, jam and toasted bread plates. The prices for these tapas plates were approximately $15 each and the portions were satisfyingly ample. Their quality was fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive and because we dined at happy hour, we got endless home made potato chips -- they have a different all-you-can eat appetizer each day during happy hour -- an extra bonus. Skip the canned Mojito, and choose the fresh and tasty Sangria. Paso is blessed to have this establishment. read more

Had an absolutely delicious dinner here tonight. We had albondigas, rellenos, and chorizo Flatbread which were all delicious. The olive oil cake was also a wonderful treat. Service was very friendly and professional. We got to chat with the owner who was so interesting. Highly recommend. Our group of six came here on Sunday night. Food and service were excellent. My favorites were the special empanadas (lamb), tostones rellenos, tortilla de patatas, and patatas bravas. We also ordered the manchego and smoked paprika goat cheese, and yuka, meatballs. Desserts were fabulous as well - flao and churros. I've had patatas bravas, yuka and churros at other restaurants and you can tell it's deep fried - all were light and so tasty. I wish we had a Junction in my area! Oh. My. Goodness! This place is a MUST in Paso! Not only is the food unique and delicious, the atmosphere/vibe inside the restaurant is warm and inviting...as are the husband and wife owners. We needed a quick lunch in between wine tastings, and this place was highly recommended on Yelp. Rightfully so! We were short on time, so after a quick nosh we were provided with to go boxes, napkins, and plastic silverware for the road. Leftovers were just as amazing 2.5 hours later. So happy to have a tapas place in Paso Robles!! What a lovely place. Very friendly and warm welcome when we arrived, with attentive service. We ordered 8 things, and all of them were delicious! The wine selection is great as well, and not expensive. They also offer sake cocktails and sangria which we will definitely try on our repeat visits. AND - with their location about 3 blocks off the park, there is ample, FREE parking. Options to sit indoors or out plus a cute bar option. Glad I stumbled upon this place,I was in town for work. I ordered the roasted veggies as well as the meatballs, both were delicious! Atmosphere also lacks attention not to mention a dog running around the entire restaurant begging for food from each table. Yippee, more variety in Paso Robles and the food is amazing! The owners clearly love what they've created and are so passionate about menu and the restaurant! Food couldn't have been more authentic or fresh. The lamb empanadas where beautiful and tasted like butter and the mushroom appetizer had amazing flavor. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked and my husband was crazy about the fries! Desserts were homemade and fantastic, the owner told us the origins of all the dishes. The bartender is super talented and the cocktails are really unique. The restaurant is at the train station so you can actually park in front of the restaurant and walk in! They have big plans for the future and we locals need to support them. We are going back this week for the yuca frita! read more

The Patio Kitchen Truck was at Sculpterra this weekend and I am so happy that we ended up there to get some wine and some amazing food. Not only were the staff so sweet and helpful, but they really went above and beyond to make sure you felt safe during Covid (even the buzzer was wrapped in plastic!) Ordering food was a breeze and the pick up was easy as well. She gave us all the condiments we desired. There was a little spillage of hot sauce on our sweet potato fries - which was not a problem - and she came over to us while we were eating to deliver us a batch of new fries. She was so sweet and even came over with extra ranch for us. I wish I had caught her name - Thank you for making our experience so wonderful. Can I add that the food was AMAZING as well? We ordered the Tri Tip sandwich and the ABC burger - we devoured every last bite! While we were sitting back and digesting that delicious meal, she came back and even offered to clear our tray.
