Foot Envy is great. First, it is extremely clean. There are also a number of massage options to choose from and the prices are awesome. For my first two visits, I had 30 minute massages in the private room. Excellent. I recently went back and did not specify the private room and somehow wound up in a chair in the communal room with a 30 minute foot massage. I have no issue with the chair or group love, but the foot massage was a bit of a snooze. However, it's was a simple miscommunication and I cannot hold that against them -- just be to to specify exactly what you want. read more

I would not recommend coming as a walk in of you have any time limitations. The receptionist told me the wait was 10 minutes and showed me to a massage chair. 20 minutes later, nobody had come to start my massage so I went to ask the receptionist when I could expect my massage to start. She informed me that it would be at least another 15 minutes. So, I was told it would be a 10 minute wait when in reality it would be at least a 35 minute wait. I had other commitments and could not wait any longer, so I was not able to get a massage at all. If they had given me an accurate wait time to start then I could have gone to one of the many other nearby massage places. I will not return here. read more

I definitely love this massage place. Excellent service, clean rooms and very reasonable price. The receptionist is sweet and polite, she can even remember my name after several visits. I often feel pains on shoulder or back due to long time compute use in work. A friend suggested me to try this place. I am glad I tried. I felt very comfortable after my first visit, so I visited it regularly since then. Now I no longer suffer from the pains. Foot envy is a DREAM! It is very clean and you great a great massage for $25! I fell in love with Chinese foot massage in Beijing a few years back and haven't found places in the States I like as much (despite hitting quite a few places in Chinatown in SF and NYC). I really liked this place and was pleasantly surprised. It was better than I expected... I actually didn't know what to expect since I had never been to a Chinese Foot Spa - but either way it was amazing. I've been to many high-end spas and get disappointed so many times after spending $125+ for an hour massage... this place you get an amazing hour long massage for $25. It's a straight up head-to-to massage and they apply just enough hard pressure but not too much where it hurts. It's quiet and very clean. I'm so glad it's right next to my work, perfect to go to at lunchtime. I had to edit my last review on this place. My 2nd time there was not so good. I called ahead of time to make an appointment and when I got there I still had to wait 20 minutes before I can get my massage. So as I waited they had me lay down on the table and relax when the massuse came in she gave me an ok massage wasn't as great as the 1st one. What I really didn't like was the fact that the other workers are loud. One of them was even walking down and up the hallway whistling, very unrelaxing. This is the first time I go foot envy. When I told front desk this is my first time to be here, immediately she gave me a $5 coupon for the next time... She is so friendly. A guy did foot massage for me. I have all kinds of problems on my back and feet. I told him all the details on where needs hard, where needs light and where needs more time( It's very convenient for me to speak Chinese). When I came out, I saw sweat on his full face. I've had some very good "foot " massages here. I recently had one which was terrible. I would love to know if that person had any training at all. It really depends on who you get. If you find someone you like, be sure to ask for them specifically when you arrive or schedule. On another note, I find it extremely rude and presumptuous that any employee there should "remind" a customer to tip - whether that be someone at the front desk or the person giving the "treatment". Perhaps it is a cultural thing, but my experience in this country is that a tip is something given without claim or demand. A tip is a freely given when warranted and deserved. If you need to pay your people more, then do so, but don't expect that a tip is part of the process unless you include it in the price. It's EXTRA. That being said, I'm pretty sure the workers don't make a living wage. I always tip and when warranted, show my appreciation beyond 20%. read more

I would like to write an update, as I was sent an email by the owner and was given an apology for the front desks behavior. They offered a discount the next time I went in, and to improve the front desk. So I took them up on their offer, and visited them again. The pressure was light for Chinese massage -- too light, in my book; it's supposed to hurt! -- but looking at some of the complaints on here I can guess why. I love this place!! When I first came here, I started off with just the foot massage. I think that at $25, it's a steal! Not only do they give you a foot massage but they also give you a chair massage for your shoulders/neck/back. Then, I discovered the combo package and I've been doing that ever since. For $60, you get a body massage (so you go into a private room) and a foot massage, for a total of 90 minutes. IMO, that's a steal, too! If you get the combo package, ask for May. I've been doing my sessions with her and she's great, particularly around the shoulders. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders (as I'm sure a lot of people who work with computers do), and I am happy to have found someone who can actually relieve some of that tension. Also, I love that my skin always feels soft rather than greasy after I leave. Overall, they offer good massages and excellent bang for your buck, which is why I give them 5 stars. :) read more

For $25 each for an hour "foot" massage which covers the whole body while you are clothed in a lounge chair it is a great deal and we are well taken care of. My only treatment so far was a half hour body massage. I liked the ambiance of the place with the lights all the way out, the silence and the pleasant music. The woman understand me and spoke English well enough. She had strong hands and a nice demeanor. She adjusted the pressure exactly as I asked and worked on the specific areas I mentioned to her. They have a 12 stamp card and you get the 13th for free, but unfortunately they would only stamp it for a full one hour massage. I am a regular at Foot Envy because I get a really great massage, they can usually work me into the schedule within half an hour of the time I call, and it is a really great deal. ($25 for the massage + I usually give a $10 tip) The one hour foot massage is in a chair with your clothes on, and it involves your face, scalp, neck, arms, legs and back (in addition to your feet). This surprised me the first time I went there, but it is why I keep coming back. It is awesome. I like a very firm massage, and occasionally when they aren't being very firm, I only have to ask - even if the masseuse only speaks limited English (which is usually the case), they have always understood me and accommodated. I read some other reviews where the person was unhappy with the firmness of the massage, but I have always found them willing to adjust if you speak up. They can't read your mind. read more

My girlfriend's feet were killing her so she convinced me to go with her to June massage. The receptionist was a little difficult to understand. We asked for a foot massage and were directed to the back after she mumbled something. The receptionist whispered to my girlfriend that I didn't hear, then she walked away. Apparently she gave relatively incoherent instructions to remove some clothing articles. We remained fully clothed because other patrons were clothed. Two men came into our "room" (one of many separated by transparent sheets) without even a hello and placed our feet in what felt like near-boiling water then proceeded to scratch our scalps. They worked their way down our necks then moved to our feet and legs. I thought the pressure on the bottom of my feet was agonizingly painful then he moved to my shins and calves. I have relatively hairy legs which weren't accounted for. Long story short, after a minute it felt like I was being given rope burns on my shins as he rubbed off my leg hair. Quite painful and the next day had red rash-like spots on my legs. Also my face was smashed into a pillow multiple times so hard so that it was difficult to breath. They used elbows and knuckles to stab into my back in horrible places. I'm a big fan of professional deep tissue massages but this felt like the masseur was an armature and could seriously hurt someone who was small or frail. I'd gladly pay the $100 plus dollars to have a proper and enjoyable massage. My girlfriend enjoyed most of her massage and had less complaints than I did but still found some of it strange and painful. I don't think I'd go back unless I knew I was going to get a professional masseur who knew what they were doing. read more

Everyone here is super nice and spend so much attention and effort for the entire hour to make you feel relaxed. Right now, I'd put this place at 2.5 stars. I've only had the one hour foot massage and a chair massage to go off of though... The place is nicer than average. The group setting is divided up with curtains so it feels more private than most places. They also use a blanket to cover you rather than a towel. The one hour foot massage was decent. The foot massage part was actually great. The back part was a little weird. He kept the towel over me the entire time, which sometimes created less than pleasant friction. I had worn a tank top bc my old place would use lotion on whatever skin was exposed, so the towel friction on my skin wasn't great. The second time I went, I didn't have time for a full hour foot massage. I had a few ballet and core classes that left my upper back and shoulders sore, so I opted for the 30 minute chair massage. This wasn't so good. He used his elbows most of the time and really dug in. I'm pretty thin/bony in my torso, so I was left with bruises on my lower back the next day (a place that hadn't been sore to begin with). I had asked for lighter pressure during it, which he did initially before going back to his normal pressure. The guy seemed very nice and was trying hard, so a star for effort. This place is right next to my apartment, so I really, really want to like it. I'll probably try the foot massage again but definitely not the chair massage. Tip: based on old reviews they used to take credit card for foot massages. They no longer take credit card for foot massages and also have you pay before hand. They do take credit card for the more expensive services (including chair massages), which you pay afterward and allow you to tip on the card...of course I'm sure they prefer cash tips! read more

We've been here 20+ times, so we like it enough to return! The massages are hit or miss with the person assigned to you. They follow a predictable pattern, but some people are more effective than others at hitting the pressure points and applying the proper force. The rooms are curtained off so you get visual privacy, but there are frequently loud clients that talk on their cell phones, snore, or converse with their therapist. I'd recommend June enforce more silence and provide better training to the massage therapists. Overall, June's is a good value and conveniently located for people in the area. read more

When I was walking into my room one lady wanted to make me pay in advance, which I told her was ridiculous. The foot "massage" was nothing more than them rubbing oil on my feet. They didn't hit any pressure points or put any energy into it. The body (back and shoulder) massage on the other hand was awesome. The lady really worked it and it felt great. Then at the end we found out it was cash only! After we handed the 2 ladies their tip they had really weird looks, I think because we didn't have the loose change and they had to figure out how to divide up the $10+two $1 bills between the 2 of them. They didn't say thank you. The whole situation was very awkward and that's when we decided to just walk out and let them figure out how to divvy up the $12.
