Tried to squeeze in a morning foot massage before work so I got there 5 min after they were supposed to be open (10 am) and I barely saw (I think she's june?) a lady who works there walk in. Luckily though they were open for business e en though the open light sign was off. I normally get back massages and my only foot massages were from Thailand so... I guess my review on the actual massage could be biased? But first, I'd have to say the lady behind the counter wasn't the nicest and she actually had no manners. Literally on her phone And texting the entire time. My interaction with her was short though , but after I told her I wanted a foot massage she kept on gesturing for me to please go ahead without letting me know where to go?? Twice. V Annoyed. After waiting about 6 whole literal mins (I had originally times this massage to have plenty of time to get to work) a guy enters and he was much nicer although he wasn't the gentlest. He first massaged my head... With very strong pressure and I could feel my hairs ripping off my head. But I muscled though it. And honestly half the time he wasn't massaging anything he was just rubbing in between my toes?? And then when he finally moved onto my calves he was super heavy handed I had to ask him twice to go softer. Like I said, this is my first foot massage so I'm not sure if this is customary but I don't think it was comfortable at all. I really don't think there was any technique to it. Please do not come here if you are looking to relax there is no music and there is no privacy really as the walls are separated by curtains only. I had my first visit here recently. It was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. I went for the foot massage/back massage combo package. I hadn't had a body massage in a few years, so my back was a mess. I don't remember who I saw, but I would like to go back and try one of the other therapists just to get a variety. The prices are reasonable. Please remember to tip. I wasn't not pressured to leave a tip as some other reviewers mentioned. Also, the photos of this place on Yelp are rather old. My only complaint was that it wasn't long enough. I thought the space was decent; this was your usual place where they have chairs next to each other and separated by curtains. It was a deal at only $30! This was the tie breaker, because my alternative was a place that offered $35 foot massages. Definitely coming back here! On June Massage's website, they have a claim that all their massage therapists are "certified either by the California Massage Therapy Council or the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork." I should have asked for proof of such a certification when I went there. I booked for a FOOT MASSAGE. No misunderstanding because I speak Mandarin and the lady boss behind the cash machine even said "Do Feet, Have Not Paid" in Mandarin to the guy who gave me the "massage." Instead, I was massaged all over my body, scalp to ankle (except for my privates). The only time the therapist touched my feet was on the bridge of my feet, instead of the SOLE of my feet which is what foot massages are about. And, it was all for 10 min of the 60 min I booked for. I have been to certified foot reflexologists and I know this was no foot massage. Never going back there. What a joke. read more

I had a 90 minute full body massage on a Wednesday evening. The lady (didn't ask her name) that took care of me spoke English which was a plus. She asked if I wanted light or hard pressure and I specified that I wanted a deeper massage and with focus on my legs and lower back. She pretty much was pressing on my back for a good 5-8 min at a time followed by predominantly massaging with the tip of her elbow. I've gotten many massages before so I can tell when someone knows generally what they're doing and this lady clearly did not know how to give a massage because she was indiscriminately putting her elbows at any crevice in my body. She stepped out about 3 times during our massage, one of which was almost at least 7-10min. After the massage ($85) I was really disappointed and left a $15 tip anyways and the receptionist said to leave at least 20% tip which would be $17... she didn't bother to ask how my experience was or anything. I didn't say anything and just walked straight out. I won't be coming back for sure. read more

Noise level inside is typically quiet, credit cards are accepted w/ service charge and communication is easy. Experience can really be depending on the massuse that you get. The first time I went, it was a male who massaged me and he was really good. So I went back the second time, it was a female who massaged me, and she was quite insensitive, as if she does not have any nurve. She would open the door while I was still changing, she would just suddenly remove a sheet covering my body without saying anything, ect.. After the massage ended, she would be standing waiting for me to hand her tip at the front desk, as if tip is mandatory. I mean, yes, it is a great deal (although they did raise their prices by $5) but literally every time I pay they look at me like "Aren't you going to tip me more??" You sit in a large room with dim lighting in a plush leather chair with your feet up on a matching ottoman. I always wear thin sweats and a sports bra to get the best massage. They use unscented lotions and wipe it off with a warm towel at the end. In the area I have been to happy feet and couple of other places, and they never hit the spot, but wait let me tell you about this place, it hits the spot especially for the price! At first the guy was massaging me gently, and I was like "can you please apply more pressure" and he did, but it still felt gentle (perhaps he thought this girl can't handle the pressure, little did he know) but again I asked for a bit more pressure- I like my massages to hurt a bit, just enough where it's good pain that makes your muscles relax (haha I don't have any weird pain fetish, I just like deep tissue massage) and boy oh boy, I walked out yawning and relaxed! I am really mad for the lady who received the call. She said her name is Amy. I told her I just moved to this area. I tried to get some idea about the price for foot massage and body massage in the near this area. That's all I said. She was really impatient and sensitive. She started to say something like every place has different prices. Every places has different quality with bad tone. (I never mentioned other places price. Or, I even did not ask any questions for the massagers.) Just a simple question for the price. She said why don't you go to the websites to check it? I was nice to explain to her I am using yelp for the nearby places now. So, it's convenient for me to call and talk. I asked weather she can be nice. She suddenly got angry. She yelled to me and asked me to check online. I wanted to talk with the boss. She said her boss was not there. Really upset experience! I don't care about the price. Lots of places in this area has a higher price with better environment. From her words, I just feel really uncomfortable. I think she may got some trouble at work or she may have bad mood that time. However, I think I shouldn't be treated like this as a customer. And, I don't think she should even work like this. The center may lose more customers. read more

When I have seen others, they have been excellent as well. June knows what customers want and appreciate, and has worked continually to upgrade the facility, taking into account the changing preferences of customers due to Covid-19. The previously "open" group rooms focused on foot massage have now been transformed into private spaces. The facility is neat and clean, and always a pleasure to visit. While the prices have increased over time, they are still far below competitors (e.g., $95 for a 90-minute full body massage). Called in an hour before coming in and easily made a reservation for myself on a Sunday night. Reveptionist was very sweet and easy to communicate with. I tried out the 90 minute combo massage and it was amazing! I was brought to a room which looked to be specifically for combo massages since there was a chair for the foot massage as well as a massage table. I thought it was a nice touch that they provide a huge fuzzy robe for your massage. I was worried that I might get cold during the foot massage since it's almost winter and there was no heater inside the room. Linda was a wonderful massage therapist! She was very easy to communicate with and would check in with me on the kind of pressure I wanted for each part of the massage. As one would expect from a massage parlor that focuss on foot massages, Linda focused on my pressure points which was what I wanted! She also worked out the knots on my shoulders and shoulder blades. I have had maybe 100 massages at June massage over the past five years. I am a fan and a regular. I am so grateful to this business for making massage an affordable luxury in my life. It is hard to know where to start. The owner, June, is great. She has been steadily upgrading all the details, the chairs, curtains, adding walls, beads on the bottom of the buckets, nice oils, and is always running good specials. I think the team she has now is as good as ever. I have had maybe 2 or three negative experiences (out of maybe 100) but it is consistently great work. I used to have just a few favorite masseuses, the past six months I just been walking in and take whoever is available, and that has been working out well. My work is physically strenuous, so I am so so grateful to find an affordable massage that is solid. If I am having a particular issue, a certain area that needs careful, skillful work, I will go elsewhere (SMI in palo alto is great, all highly trained physiologists). The open room here, with massages "fully clothed", is the most private atmosphere I've seen yet. There are sheer drapes so it feels much more private! Love that. I know a good massage. Of those places that deem themselves as offering "foot massages," this is the most accurate I've ever experienced. She actually spent a lot of time giving my feet some love. I always come prepared for pain - hooded thick sweatshirt and pants. I call it my "turtle shell" just in case the massage therapist decides to dig his/her elbow into my spine (lesson learned from previous experience). I've been to a couple of these $20-25 dollar foot massage places now, and had some so-so experiences and some just plain terrible ones. Let's add June Massage to the so-so list. Massage Experience: You're taken into a semi-curtained massage area, which is nicer than most places where everyone is in one room. She started with a pretty thorough scalp massage and then massaged my shoulders a bit. I was wearing a necklace and, at times, I was worried she would snap it off trying to put the lotion on. Plus, she was having a bit of trouble with my turtle shell (aka thick sweatshirt). So that was fine. Then she got to my feet and actually spent plenty of time on my feet. This was, by far, the best part of the massage and my feet actually feel more relaxed and looser today! When massaging my back, there was a lot of pushing, poking, chopping, and plopping. This was where massage technique was a little iffy. At one point, during the massage she literally picked up my legs and plopped them down like a penny in a pond or a limp noodle. Since I heard lots of chopping sounds coming from others being massaged, I assume this is a consistent technique. She also actually did some leg stretches, as well, which normally these places don't do. She actually did use the full hour - I checked my phone before and after. The price here is $25, as opposed to the more typical $20, and I'm not sure it was worth the extra $5. (Plus tip...you always tip at these places.) Also, cash is still highly preferred and it even specified cash under the foot massage section...and a slightly huffy sounding statement about paying with card, if you must, but still tipping in cash for the full body/more expensive massages. So, extra points for a little more private area (even though you can still hear everything), an A for effort and spending the full hour, and a B- for massage. If you really are coming to a foot massage place for a foot massage, it's not bad - otherwise, so-so. read more

My feet used to envy other feet before I visited this place! What a treat! I didn't quite know what to expect when I walked into Foot Envy but, I sure left happy! You are led into what looks like a posh movie room. Filled with rows of cushy recliners, you are leaned back and then the experience begins. I was there for a foot reflexology appointment but, these folks also worked on my shoulders, neck, arms, lower back and legs easing away all of the pain a typical Silicon Valley computer geek (like myself) carries around. The staff is nice --- not exactly communicative though, which is okay. This is not a situation where you're going to be swapping recipes or anything. I have been to Envy Foot Spa twice now. My first experience was ok, so I thought I would give them another shot. Yesterday, I went for a massage and chose the 90 minute foot massage for $40. For starters the front desk lady is very courteous and I was happy that I didn't have to pay before receiving my service (this is a problem for me if I have to pay before receiving a service). I was then escorted to a chair and prepared, etc. The gentleman who massaged me was EXTREMELY heavy handed. So much so, that at times out of reflex, my body would pull away. Now, I am no skinny woman, nor extremely robust, but I would say on the larger side of average. When he was massaging my feet, it felt as though the nerves and ligaments in my feet were being torn. It was as though he was in competition to show his strength. This morning when I woke up, I had bruising on my lower back and hips. My feet hurt so bad that I had to soak them last night and this morning. Overall the place is clean and folks are courteous, but absolutely NO IDEA how to give a relaxing tranquil massage. read more
