I've done plenty of research online, but this was my first time going to look at birds in person. Seeing this was a family run business, I decided to bring my business here rather than a big box store. Big mistake. Almost everyone working seemed to be stuck up teenagers and young adults. My family was in the store for about 30 min and not a single employee offered any assistance. Not even a simple hello. The bird section was absolute chaos. There's TONS of birds jammed into a small corner of the store which seems to be, by far, their most popular animal. The aisles are cramped and it's hard to hear anything with all the birds chirping away. There were 2 employees feeding/ tending to birds. They were pretty much ignoring everyone. I tried to ask a few questions about different species, yet I felt like an annoyance to them.. then I simply got told, if you're new to birds, just get a cockatiel. The guy wouldn't really give any information on any of the other species. I'm trying to make sure I have everything I need in my home before buying a bird, but it seems like they'd rather you just pay $$ now and quit bothering them. There's a bunch of signs up saying NO PICTURES everywhere. It felt like a prison with the wide variety of threatening signs all over the place. I did notice the cages seemed very over priced. An A&E cage I saw on Chewy for $300 was marked up to like $700 in there. The cockatiels were a couple hundred dollars more than Pet Smart. I wanted to avoid going to somewhere like Pet Smart or Petco to get a pet bird, but after this experience, I'll just take my business there. At least they have employees that seem like they care about helping customers. It's a shame to see a local business that can't provide better service than corporate big box stores. If it wasn't for your exorbitant prices, I suspect you'd be out of business by now.

Fails to even identify whom she is states Oh no you cant hold it, but you can pet it. So let me get this straight as a potential customer I cant hold an animal I'm potentially interested in?? So how many people go to buy a car and just purchase it right off the lot, no test drive? I'll wait... My point is every time I come into Pet Paradise I'm being told oh you can pet the bunnies or the ferrets but you cant hold them. Mind you I've seen "others," allowed to do just that. I've owned every animal mentioned previously in my 40+ years but it appears only certain people have the privilege here to actually interact with potential furbabies. Whelp they say word of mouth is the best form of marketing so figured I'd put the word out because it's a reoccurring theme I'm quite tired of and figured I'd let folks know about the fickle behavior of oh peep this the supposed manager who "Can Do what she wants," as I was told by the young lady behind the counter. But I get it, they have free roaming turtoises on the loose, leaving gifts for the pet store associates to clean without a doubt. HUGE MISTAKE! Within days of purchasing crickets from this place, both of my crested geckos are dead. They lived in separate terrariums next to each other, and were very different ages (9 y/o and around 1 y/o). All conditions were EXACTLY the same besides where I purchased the crickets from, and within 3-4 days, both of my healthy geckos were dead! Following this incident, my mother and I called the store and the initial woman who picked up directed me to the owner, Jeff, who immediately gave extreme attitude and disregarded our concerns. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy insects for their beloved reptiles from this establishment. With heavy hearts, RIP Shawn and Shawna. Quick Stop at Pet Supplies Plus…read more Okay, so we usually go to PetSmart for our essentials, but today we decided to try something new and check out Pet Supplies Plus -- mostly because it's way closer to home. Sometimes convenience wins, right? We popped in to grab Lexi's usual -- Hill's Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs (bougie bellies only ‍) -- and let me tell you, they had a huge selection of dog food options. The store was pretty busy but well-stocked, which is always a good sign. I wish I had taken some photos (next time, I promise!), but I did take a quick stroll down the aisles to see if they had any dog clothes... and sadly, no outfits in sight. You know Lexi doesn't go anywhere without a fit check, so we always scope out the fashion section. On the bright side, they had: Tons of treats A great variety of toys Leashes, collars, and accessories ...but no sparkle, no glam, no bougie wear The price for our dog food was a bit higher than what we usually pay at other spots, but for the convenience of being so close to home, it worked out just fine this time. I had a negative experience at another facility where my puppy got a trim around her eyes, and I was told my puppy was "very bad, worse than other puppies and was biting the staff aggressively." I informed Erin, Ashley, and the other team members here that my puppy Harley had been labeled as a biter. They reassured me that they would take good care of her. An hour and a half later, I got a call that they were done, and that Harley was sweet and well-behaved. After her services were completed, they even had her sitting out with them in the grooming area, rather than in the kennel and had no problems. So happy with the grooming team here!

Since, as I said, love thrift stores, I couldn't believe such a thing existed. So off we went. Well, when we got sent by Google Maps to the location and we arrived, we were next to a pet crematorium, not a thrift store! Our dog is 10, so I kept apologizing profusely to her! Looool. We pulled in to a tiny lot and there it was. It's a very tiny shop, decent of cheap outfits, beds, collars, leashes, toys. I ended up getting a gorgeous collar for our girl, and for only $6 it was a steal! Next time I'll try to take photos inside, but I included Sam with her collar!

I received a video feeder for mothers day and while I have been feeding them just feed from Walmart, I knew there had to be better out there. My family and I walked in and were instantly greeted by the staff. She did not mind answering all my questions and I learned so much about the different feed that is available, specifically made for our area. I purchased feed ( and spicy feed, darn squirrels!) and I have seen so many more birds at my feeder! They are enjoying the new seed as well! We are planning out a bird habitat and hope to be certified in the next few years and Wild Birds Unlimited will be key in that for sure!

She spent so much time showing us around and telling us about the different animals that they had in the store--so many fun facts and knowledge! She let us hold a few of the beetles and gave us a handout about caring for the tarantulas. At the end of our visit, she gifted my daughter a little stuffed tarantula.
