We had a chance to visit 912 Korean BBQ and hot pot last weekend. We were looking for something…read morecasual but filling for dinner and because we had not tried out this place yet but had driven by several times, we decided to check it out. Definitely a great decision on a hunch. This is an all you can eat hot pot concept and frankly my first time attending this version. While I have visited hibachi restaurants in the past, this is not that. Basically this is a dual table side prep concept where you can either make your own custom soups and broths, and hot pot seafood or you can select the grill and grill of a variety of fresh meats and fish and vegetables, or you can get both. Both come with a small dessert bar and seem to be accompanied with the additional Fresh salad and sauce bar, although I'm not quite sure if one of those may have been restricted if you did the grill only or the hot pot only. Pricing is pretty fair at about $30 a person which rises to mid 30s if you decide to get both options. We went with the combo because we had never tried this concept before, but in the future, I may lean more towards the grill option only. Especially if I'm not in the mood for hot pot or soup. But I definitely enjoyed the combination choice for our first visit. The meat and vegetable selections at this restaurant are pretty vast and this is after the server first sets you up and allows you to pick from several different types of broth for your hot pot. In addition, they have a sauce bar that must've had 20+ sauces available to choose from. I think one of the most overwhelming aspects of this concept is lack of familiarity with the right combinations of hot pot and grilled options. For this we leaned heavily on our server and she did a great job of guiding us through a couple of her favorite combinations, as well as some of the favorite combinations of other patrons. This was really helpful because there isn't a menu or chart to help you unlock all of the really cool combinations that you can put together including Ramen udon and Thai soup varieties. All of the ingredients you need to make any of those dishes, but in your own customize version, are here to your heart's desire. Service is really good as they do switch out the grills rather rapidly as they will get charred and start to burn and smoke after three or four rounds of fresh meats and veggies slapped on them. However, they do not switch out your broth choice so once you make your choice, that's what you're rolling with for the rest of the dinner. All in all we were really satisfied with the freshness and the preparation of most of the ingredients and sauces. I did think the dessert bar was a little weak given the multitude of options elsewhere, but I also understand that this is consistent with the cultural preferences, which don't skew as heavy on traditional sweets, like American taste do. All in all this is definitely a treat for those looking for a great date night or just looking to take the family out for a really engaging and tasty cook at your table experience - all you can eat style!

The ambiance was quiet and really enjoyable--perfect for a relaxed meal. The broth could use a bit more flavor overall, but the spicy one was definitely the standout. I'd absolutely come back and explore more of the menu!

We had all of our raw dishes brought to the table and then no follow up with sauces and rice and we actually had to get up to find a manager to get served. They forgot our utensils for cooking too. Actually pretty bad. The service of neglecting actually began to piss us off. They have an automatic gratuity, which is unfortunate because they certainly dropped the ball last night. And they know it. The manager knew it. Amber knew it. They were busy so I'll give them that, but we really feel, as a party at six, that we were literally forgotten about. And there's way too many places to eat to have to endure that. If they're busy, I would move on.....if I were you. If they're slow, give them a try.

We visited on a Thursday evening and it was not overcrowded. They do accept reservations. We didnt have one but we're still seated immediately. Cute and cozy setting. Felt clean. You have the option to cook your meal at the table or oder from the kitchen. The orange blood martini was delicious! The truffle fries came out hot, crisped to perfection. I'm not a huge fan of mayonnaise, but they brought out a mayonnaise aoli with lemon flavor to dip the fries and it was amazing. Now, the entree. I wanted to love it. The noodles were like a rice noodle, thin and transparent looking. I wrapped a little on my fork like I do with sphaghetti. ...I almost choked because the noodles would not break when I tried to chew them. I then tried cutting the noodles with my fork and then with a knife. They were cooked well but they were hard to break down. I literally had to force my fork to cut them and could only take extremely small bites. The flavors were good but it was way too much WORK. I dont recommend this 1 dish but I would come back to try other options on the menu.

The bulgogi is fantastic, the sauce selection is huge, and the soft drinks are also unlimited. I try to go at least once a month. The ventilation is very good- you still smell like bbq when you leave but not as bad as other kbbq I've had. The staff is always very friendly.

I specifically came at 3:10 pm and the server notified me ahead of time that if I wanted that price I would only have until 4 pm which was about 50 minutes to eat. Totally do-able especially since I was a party of 1. Just a heads up their options for lunch is different from dinner hence the difference in price points of the two. Everything was buffet style so you would go to the bar to grab your meats, drinks, and sauces. If you wanted rice, kimchi, or other sides please let your server know. Service was great and attentive. My server often came by and offered to cut the pork belly which by the way were my favorite here. The restaurant gave me a sense of modern/hipster vibes which can be appealing for young crowds and it seems pretty clean overall. Definitely will be back to try their dinner options one day but it's a good spot for a cheap ayce during lunch time!

I will preface this with telling you, I have high expectations of any Korean food I eat. I grew up on home cooked Korean food and I love it. I know when I find the real thing and when I find the cheap knock offs. I will say when I walked in and called out a annyeonghaseyo and the server looked at me confused, I almost turned tail. I'm glad I stuck it out though. Food--9.5/10. To start, the drink selection is very limited. They do offer some Korean drinks but very limited on them and any other beverage. That's the only detriment I had to this meal. The mandu was fantastic crisp on the outside juicy and flavorful inside. Just the perfect yaki mandu. The dolsot bibimbap was top notch. It came out blazing hot and sizzling and given I have hearing issues that even I could hear a bit of the sizzle tells you it was really sizzling. So when you dig down into the bottom, there's that gorgeous crispy rice at the base of the dish. It came out with four perfect banchan. The kimchi was delightful and well fermented. The potato is always one of my favorite and I adored it. The oi kimchi was so crunchy and tangy and the little shredded cabbage with what tasted like a gochujang mayo was simple but delightful and had me wanting more. If I had one complaint aside from the limited beverages is that I like my bibimbap sauce to be a bit more tangy and a larger amount. Regardless, I'll be paying them a visit again very soon because there are so many amazing authentic Korean dishes on their menu that I can't wait to try. I only wish I lived closer. Service--8/10. The young lady who was serving was very attentive. That being said my only thing lacking is it was only her and as several more people arrived, she was less able to attend to the customers. She was very nice, polite and served as quick as she could, but as I said more people came in as my meal progressed, and I would've liked to have been able to ask for a little more bibimbap sauce. Ambiance--8/10. The exterior of the building leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very small strip of shops with very limited parking. However, where the exterior is lacking the interior is pleasant, clean and inviting. All in all, I would be back over and over again if I lived in the area and if you're in Savannah and you like Asian food and you have not tried this, you are missing out.

On one side it is an "all you can eat" menu. On the other side, you order à la carte off of a regular menu. On the all-you-can-eat side, it appears you'll probably need a reservation, as it is quite popular. We did not have a reservation but didn't want all you can eat anyway, so we sat on the side with the regular menu. The menu is quite large, with a good variety of sushi and other dishes. We got there during happy hour, and they had some great deals on appetizers, certain types of sushi, and drinks. Every employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was lovely, as you can see from the photos below, but overall, the food was just so-so. The sushi was good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. It wasn't terrible, just nothing to write home about. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and that was not great, compared to other restaurants. It was fairly thick and heavily battered (as far as calamari goes), and tasted as if the oil hadn't been changed in a while. We also ordered regular egg rolls, which were OK. As far as ambience, for some reason many restaurants play loud music that isn't suitable for dining (have they always done this and I just never noticed?), and this is one of them. Overall, I do feel that we received good food for the price, and again, all of the employees were stellar. We will probably try this location again.
