Lunch special-Any 3 Rolls Lunch: white tuna scallion, eel avocado, salmon cucumber
    Audrey L.

This spot is good for sushi rolls and sashimi if you're not looking for anything too fancy. I have dined in and ordered takeout from here and the food was good every time. Their lover's boat is generous portion-wise and the rolls were very tasty. The miso soup, sadly, is subpar. I was also a bit put off by the fact that when I went there last week, the price on the menu was outdated, so I was charged more for my meal than I was expecting, which was an unpleasant surprise.

    My order
    Magdelyn G.

Once again I ate my food without taking a photo, I hate it lol. I remember after. Attached is a photo of my order. I got two different rolls. I ordered through Grubhub. I crossed out all the personal info. My first roll was the king crab roll. They were wrapped small so I didn't get a lot of the crab taste from it but I still thought it really good. The roll was shaped nicely and clean. My second roll was the salmon tempura roll and what a mess. The roll was huge and kept falling apart. It's like no effort was made in wrapping it and making it look nice. On the other hand it tasted delicious. Probably wouldn't order this specific roll again, but it tasted good. If you ask me would I order again from here YES, but I'd search Yelp for photos next time. I've had worse sushi so would definitely try this place again

a plate of sushi and a bowl of sauce

Been trying to find a good local sushi spot and came across this place on Grubhub. Looked promising and prices weren't too crazy. Long story short, the taste is not bad and loved that they used real crab but the size and quantity is so small. It's comparable to a chain supermarket sushi pack just more expensive and less pieces. Not to mention they made one of the sushi's wrong. A bit disappointing. I would try them again though based on the fact that the taste was decent and I didn't get sick the next day. (Sushi looks much bigger in the pictures)

    Seared Tuna Salad

A dependable option for sushi in the neighborhood, have always enjoyed anything we've gotten from here. The Astoria Roll is a new favorite, as well as the salmon dumplings. Will have the tuna dumplings next. Unique and delicious, it has avocado, scallion and crunch inside and is served with a wasabi vinaigrette sauce (not spicy). The seared tuna salad was an interesting texture bc it's seared, would have enjoyed more if raw, it was made better by the salad and dressing that comes with it. The blue crab summer roll was a little underwhelming, the sundried tomato was interesting to try but wasn't for us. Service was good, friendly. There are only a few tables inside.

This place is down the street from me and that is very dangerous (because I will keep spending all my money on sushi). They have Delicious, fresh, sushi and a great lunch special. The six flag roll is to die for!

    A fly on the sushi
    Gabriella S.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Ordered sushi from here and there was a fly walking around on top of the sushi while the container was still closed. After seeing the fly. We refused to eat the meal. We Called the restaurant and they said they said they can only refund the sushi not the whole meal. The lady was rude and said you can just eat the miso soup, then hung up didn't even apologize. After seeing the fly we don't trust eating the rest of the meal. This is unsanitary and unacceptable. Especially when they, serve literal raw fish. Do not eat here. Literally DISGUSTED

A little better than my first visit. Junko has greatly improved service and quality of food choices. Though it is best known for its vegetarian dishes, this sushi restaurant has a decent chicken teriyaki. I might be back.

This place is the best. It has amazing stuff and people and my family is close with the owner. They are friendly welcoming and good people. The food is always so amazing I recommend 10/10. Best experience going there. There delivery is also amazing and food still is great.

Ordered take out from here and I was pleasantly surprised. They have great quality dishes and their sushi tastes amazing! They also use real crab in their rolls which is a huge plus. Will definitely be my new go-to for sushi!

We had our shirts on, and Chris asked if he was playing that night. When we told him the show had been canceled and that we were really bummed, we said we decided to come here instead. Chris immediately told us he'd make our night better -- and he absolutely did. He put Noah Kahan on the speakers, and we chatted, chanted, and connected throughout our meal. What started as a disappointing night turned into such a memorable experience. Chris made us feel so welcomed and completely changed the energy of the evening. What stood out even more was that Chris was just as attentive and welcoming to everyone else in the restaurant. We sat in the bar area, and the level of care and customer service from the host to the chefs was incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough. For the 3 sushi rolls u get salmon, tuna, and yellowtail and can choose between the maki and spicy rolls. I got the spicy salmon and tuna and maki yellowtail because I didn't know how good quality the fish would be but my friend got the maki salmon and I have to say, the maki rolls are WAY better than the spicy rolls. Fish is good quality, but they also put some sort of rice puffs into the spicy salmon/tuna mix as a filler and I wasn't the biggest fan. The salmon and yellowtail nigiri was delicious but the tuna was just a bit fishy for me, but besides that everything is delicious! This is a takeout spot and the service is quick and efficient, we walked to Central Park and had a nice picnic :) If I came here again, I'd definitely get their $15 tray again and get the maki rolls, it's so worth the price :)

You're really only getting four types of fish -- salmon, tuna, white tuna, and yellowtail. Roll options are tuna, salmon, or the obligatory sad California roll (I went with salmon). It also comes with miso soup and one of those throwaway salads -- all iceberg with a stray cucumber and tomato. But here's the thing: the fish is fresh (look at the shine on that salmon), and the pieces are big for the price. This is a blue-collar sushi deluxe. It's not glamorous, but it's reliable. Instead we got seated. We shared calamari and a California roll, and my husband had tuna sashimi. I had a miso soup and the Wagyu fried rice. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could for the ambiance and wow factor. But what was disappointing was the Wagyu fried rice had almost microscopic bits of beef. I guess I should have expected that for only $16. Calamari was excellent. So was the soup. California rolls were okay. In total our bill was $164 which seemed like a lot considering we didn't even leave stuffed - just comfortable. I get that we were paying for the location and scenery - if we ever go back we will sit at the bar and do the happy hour deals. In all - upscale, cozy and high quality. I'm sure it attracts a lot of locals. But I'd rather go to one of the many great sushi places in Hell's Kitchen for more food, less money.
