EXTREMELY RUDE. i don't ever leave yelp reviews because i don't care but this was the worst delivery experience . my delivery address was incorrect due to my phone automatically changing it as iphones sometimes do. The delivery guy was yelling at me on the phone as i was trying to help him but he kept telling me i'm wrong, at the end he yelled at me in front of my place of work. THEN a personal number from someone at the restaurant texted my number telling me "i'm rude" i don't feel sorry ". I have never experienced some bullshit like this, what kind of restaurant goes out their way to text a customers phone telling them that THEIR wrong . at the end of the day I paid for my food, and it was a terrible experience. read more

I have been going to Junko Sushi since it opened. I cannot comment on eating in, nor can I comment on any cooked food. But I can comment on their sushi and take out. I had placed an order again today for their eel avocado, Spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls - lunch specials (Two orders). The rolls are packed with fish with very little rice, the earl was warm and the avocado ripe - Yummy, the tuna and salmon where properly chilled and full of flavor. The sashimi has always been fresh and very satisfying. The service when ordering has never been an issue, the staff has always been friendly and willing to help. read more

I order from Junko more than I care to admit... we're talking weekly (and that's lowballing it). The food is always great, delivered fast, and a comparable price to nearby locations. I'd recommend the gyoza and the sweet potato tempura. Sooo flavorful, which can be difficult with vegetarian sushi. Stopped by for lunch after gym. Had the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls and I couldn't tell which is which. The fish was definitely not fresh and was just tasteless. The salad that came with the sushi rolls was just bland lettuce and the ginger dressing was too sweet. The whole thing just misses the point. Small bright side was the miso soup was pretty good and that was about it. read more

I continue to order from here, and the food continues to be solid. I alternate between the sushi and fried udon dishes - both are good. Mochi ice cream tops off a great meal. They are trying very hard to hide the C HEALTH GRADE they got with four critical violations. First it was taped near the door at a height of about two feet, blocked by a small palm tree. Then they put it just a bit higher, but have blocked it with a freestanding sign showing their specials. Buyer beware. read more

Its a sign when you dont see any asians dinning at a sushi bar (atleast for me) but i decided to give it a shot. The protein was meh, not the freshest. This place has a "diner" feel to it. i had a deep sense that they were penny pinching every aspect of the business. From their staff to the food to the cleanliness. My mom and I came here after yoga, the food here is subpar at best. Here's why, we ordered: 1) The seaweed salad, which had a weird peanut sauce dressing and mango combo on the bottom, which was the perfect intro to tell me this place was gonna blow balls. When you don't get your sauces right you know something is up. 2) "Seared" salmon salad was more so soggy romaine (13 dollar salad for romaine? I mean come on, and again this came with weird mango and peanut sauce). The fish was barely charred to be called seared. 3) The Astoria roll tasted last mush in a roll. "Seared" salmon on top of spicy tuna and avocado. 4) Soft shell crab. More like burnt crunchy coating on a poor crab that died for no reason. I'll save you the details on the udon noodle soup and agedashi tofu. No flavor and crunch. The service and location is nice but I highly suggest a new chef or training the chef better. Oh don't forgot. For dessert you get canned pineapple. How delicious. read more

Ordered here for the first time delivery and it took over double the time to arrive (they said 30-40 minutes but it took more like 80 mins). Found this spot while walking down the block and SO happy I decided to walk in. My mom and I enjoyed an amazing assortment of rolls, made fresh and quick!! Our waiter brought everything we asked for, kept glasses filled and answered all questions. It looked like the doors open when the weather is warmer, if so it'll be even more enjoyable in the spring/summer. I enjoyed and think other people would too! read more

Junko is very conveniently located by the train, and is a decent, affordable sushi restaurant. I threw in an extra star because they have an unusually large amount of vegetarian rolls. As a vegetarian who gets tired of the avocado roll, Junko made my day. They also have a great lunch special. read more

Not my favorite, but it's a convenient location and is one of the better sushi places in the Broadway area. The sauce for the shumai was really good. I used it on the Seared Tuna Salad we started with as well. The tuna was definitely not the best quality. You can always tell by the color of it. It was a lot lighter in color than the usual dark, bright red. The dressing was pretty tasty. The snow crab roll with avocado is my favorite. It was topped with spicy mayo that was not spicy at all. And we also had the spicy tuna roll, which had more filler than tuna. Probably won't be back. But service was excellent. read more

Good roll combos, the miso soup was good, i do love white tuna and was pleased to see it on the menu. I ordered for delivery, so that could definitely stand for a saving grace in some cases. Delivery was fast, and the pork dumplings were decent. That's about all that was good. Rolls looked like they were rolled by someone doing it their first time. My striped bass sushi had scales, a bone, and a ton of fat on it. My girlfriend's crab roll had 3 pieces of cartilage in it. My eel avocado roll looked like they broiled the eel to the point that they were trying to dry it to make jerky out of it. Even my safe order that I do with every sushi place I try for the first time (though these were all on the safe side) a spicy tuna roll, was bland, both in terms of not being anywhere near spicy and not being able to taste any tuna. I've tried many of the rolls here: Blossoms of Love, Dancing Shrimp, Sweetie, etc. They are all wonderfully delicious and so colorful. A lot goes into the presentation of the rolls. The take-out service is great, it never takes long, and the chefs make sure to fill up cups of the special sauces that accompany the special rolls so you don't miss out on the experience. I always get the vegetable tempura as an appetizer, it's a great way to start the meal. The plum wine is so sweet but yummy. read more
